Impossible to get Refund.

Ordered a set of A50s on 10/20/17. Waited 7 days with no shipping information. Contacted Astro as asked for order to be canceled. They said no problem. Received the headphones 2 days later. Contacted Astro for a return on 10/29/17. Received shipping label 2 days later. The A50s were received on 11/3/17 by Phil the Quality Assurance manager at Astro.

11/5/17 called to confirm that the return had been received. It had been.
11/20/17 no refund call and they gave me a BS excuse that it takes time.
11/30/17 no refund the gave me the run around I asked for a manager to call and this was not returned.
12/8/17 called and I got no explaination except Phil must not have processed this.

I explained to them that they are stealing my money and I am contacting a lawyer.

Before the purchase by logitech they …

Before the purchase by logitech they were sometimes difficult to deal with but would get you the information or try and help. AFTER the buyout they are now impossible to deal with. Example below:

11/22/13
"Hi ,
The battery replacement outside the warranty will probably be around $50. The firmware application has had some issues today with the new releases and the amount of people using the application at the same time. Try a different browser or a different computer."

11:29/17
"Thank you for contacting ASTRO Gaming. We were recently acquired by Logitech on August 11th, 2017. Due to the acquisition we've changed our policies and warranty procedures to match theirs. We no longer offer repairs or replacements for users outside of the one year warranty."

So contacting them to resolve the issue I originally asked them about when I purchased the headset was pointless. Great customer service!

i love these

i love these, listening to music in them is amazing, gaming is amazing, bought them in 2015 nothing has broken, maybe im just lucky, but when I had a problem connecting to them about 6 months ago they answered within 48 hours ago, i dont get why everyone says they have bad customer service. They are probably the best headsets I've ever had

ASTRO does not honor their warranty as …

ASTRO does not honor their warranty as listed on their website. My son bought a mix amo back in February, his third mix amp by the way, and after 5 days of emails they finally offered me 20 % a replacement. I am reporting them to the better business bureau out of frustration. I will never purchase another product from them again and before you do, i would research their reviews.

Horrible Customer Service.Astro Gaming (Skullcandy) And a bad product for the price.

Astro A50's have a buzzing sound when it is completely silent in a game. Thats the first problem. There customer service is bad. After send two pairs of broken headsets to Skullcandy, the owners of AstroGaming. I Paid for the shipping twice. They had in there possession the headset that I shipped for over a month before I get an email telling me that If I do not reply to the Email they will consider this issue solved. I never received an email prior to that one. All the people that I have spoken with over the phone were telling me that I would be contacted shortly. I never was. Over a month and around 6 phone calls. They offer me a Refurbished Generation 1 A 50. Made in 2012 , proven to have a buzzing sound. I asked for a newer generation.Trent in his ivory Astrogaming tower, basically said no and my only astro options are A50 Gen 1 or A40 gen 1 or 2. There are better and cheaper options out there, save yourself the headache and don't bother with AstroGaming or Skull Candy.

Nice headset with horrible customer service

This is my second Astro A50 and a second FAILED attempt to get it repaired. They last almost a year and then stop working and again, no customer support, no help line. For $300 I expect more. Buyer beware... They just don't last like other headsets and their email "help" is a joke.

Waste of time

I was looking to buy a good headset and after going through the lengthy process of researching, I ended up choosing to buy through Astro's website. After placing my order for a headset on sale for Black Friday, the money was taken from my account and I received no confirmation email and no acknowledgment of my purchase on my account (no order history and no pending orders).

After contacting them explaining my problem they asked me for my order number, even though I already explained I didn't have one. Days later I was told, after emailing them back trying to get an answer, that there was a technical issue and my order was cancelled. They asked me to put in another order but I told them I would only do this if they gave me the same discounted sale price, as it wasn't my fault there was an issue on their end, and I shouldn't have to pay more money for their problems. Of course, they said no. So I took my business elsewhere.

Overall my experience with Astro was poor. They took too long to reply back to me with assistance (took a week and a half to get a solid answer on the status of my order) and they clearly didn't value my business enough to offer me the same price on a discounted product I had paid for that they messed up on. It's a shame, because their headsets are supposed to be really good.

Bent Scoutback Pack: Horrid Return Time

So I ordered a Scout BackPack and it came bent in a tiny box. Out of proportioned and really awkward. So once I ship it back they then ship me a new one, so all good, BUT the day before I f*cking leave. I needed this bag and now have to use a crappy old backpack as I gave out my regular laptop backpack to a friend knowing I was getting this. Very annoying and frustrating.

bad customer service, ripped me off for tax.

I am a Canadian citizen and should be tax exempt because they are shipping it to me from the usa. when i saw my bill i was charged tax even though i should not have been because its being shipped to me in Canada, and the customer service rep did not even know that. And would not get back to me I will never deal with them again.

Worst headset ever!

I bought two Astro A40 PreAmp Pro 2013 headsets. Both had the same problem with the sound being unbalance, when coming from the PreAmp. It switched from left to right, when turning the volume up and down. Besides that, the microphone had awful bit rate and sounded like a £20 headset - THIS IS NOT OKAY FOR A £200 HEADSET. When I contacted the support (fast respond, by the way) they told me, that's what you can except for that kind of headset (WHAT?!).
The headset worked fine without the PreAmp, but still... And as far as surround sound goes; you'll need a sound card that supports dolby 5.1 through optic in order to get "real" surround sound. Otherwise, it is just a cheap surround sound simulation that really is stereo.

This should have replaced my "cheap" Logitech G35 from 2009, but I would rather buy a new, outdated, G35, than another Astro headset.

- I ended up sending them back to Astro for 280 DKK ~ £31 with Post Danmark (Danish postal service)

You've got to be kidding me...

Sigh... This is the second episode (of two) where I didn't get what I've ordered. The first episode was back in December 2011 where I ordered a white A40 MGL edition set - but got a black regular one instead. The customer support apologized for the unfortunate mixup and exchanged them to the correct one (more or less painless).
But now again... I've ordered the new MixAmp Pro 2013 -- and yet again -- didn't get what I've ordered. This time I just got a USB-to-mini USB cable - but no sight of the MixAmp I've ordered. When I checked the homepage and the shipment, it said that the Mixamp was included in the package and it should weight 2,3 kg (which it didn't). I've waited 5 days now (from I've received the attrap package and filed the customer support - but without any response). I might had been really unfortunate compared to others - but I won't come back for a third time.

I should just had ordered from astrogaming.com (as usual) - I might even get what I've ordered and probably also get my order sooner. It's sad that the customer service is the bottleneck, when the product is good. TRUE WAR STORY. Take and chew on it :)

The BEST headsets, and amazing support!

The sound in these headsets, the quality is brilliant! I have had no problems with it at all! I had a problem with my frame for the headset's left speaker, so i wrote to their support, they answered within 10 minutes, and i had a new frame sent! Free!

You get what you pay for, but without a doubt, worth ALL the money!
