ASTA - meaningless 'code of ethics'
I filed a complaint against CheapOair (OneTravel) with ASTA - The American Society of Travel Advisors.
My complaint was outright ignored. I pointed out how CheapOair violated - trampled on - 9 or their 12 'code of ethics' points. You can read hundreds of reviews of people being scammed by this ASTA member travel agency on the BBB website, trustpilot, etc. CheapOair is the NUMBER 1 violator of Dept. of Transportation rules and regulations according to DOT stats. Does ASTA care? ASTA code of ethics doesn't mean squat. Their code of ethics makes me, as a consumer, think ASTA is looking out for customers. NO. They are there to defend their members. So travel agency members of ASTA can do as they please. Don't be fooled into thinking their logo gives a business some kind of legitimacy. It absolutely does not.
