Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 141 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found the website to be full of bots, fake accounts, and scammers, leading to a general feeling of dishonesty. Customers were particularly dissatisfied with the pricing structure, noting that it was very expensive and credits were quickly depleted without clear information on costs. The user experience was also criticized for being outdated and difficult to navigate, with many feeling it was a waste of time and money. Some people also experienced unexpected credit card charges and issues with payment methods. Conversely, a few other people also felt that despite the initial challenges, it was possible to have meaningful discussions and meet people if one was persistent and careful.

Too many winks to be real

I am convinced that the site is corrupt. Men receive scores of winks etc. from profiles that are all startlingly similar with little or no individualized description. These are most likely generated by AM itself to induce men to buy credits to respond.

EXTORTION Well when they say don't go off site…

Well when they say don't go off site they mean it. I had a girl that was 28 and I even asked if she was really 28 she said yes im really 28. Then after some steaming video sex off site on Signal. she had recorded me sent it back to me said she was a minor and tried to extort me. Instead of getting scared I went and filed extortion charges. PuppyEyesForYou34. STAY AWAU FROM HER. OR ANYONE FROM CLEVELAND WITH A TEXAS PHONE NUMBER CALLING THEMSELVES NANCY

The site is filled with Fake and fraud landscaMichael;

The site is filled with Fake and fraudulent bots or people who try to connect with members. They usually do not give ethnicity or are very vague about other stats. They never include photos and are never verified. I you want to improve your site and stop people like me from leaving, offer a search element that is verified. IDelete 100's of winks, which are stupid! Fake and new members use this to waste our time as full members. I will not be renewing unless you make changes..Although, I know you're naking loads of $$$ from your global footprint. Give us some relief and stop thefraud.

At least 98% of all the profiles are…

At least 98% of all the profiles are not real women. Four or five years ago, you might have been able to meet someone, but not any longer. DO NOT waste your money on this site. I asked for a refund in the form of credits, but they never responded. Bottom line... it is a crap operation.

Scam profiles and scam website practices

TLDR: when the scammers aren't trying to scam you, the website is. Giving 2 stars because the site has removed a few of the scammers I reported but not all. So many scammers with the same name, the same job, the same opening question. Cut and paste practically. They don't read your profile. Just mass contact everyone looking for a mark. What's worse, the website uses dirty tricks pretending to be the lady you want to talk to. They send messages like "can't wait to hear from you" or "thanks for your interest but I only respond to full messages" then when you message them you get ghosted. Wasting your credits. If you don't change the DEFAULT SETTINGS then you're paying 5 credits to make your message a priority when it should be free after your initial contact.

AshMad Terms - NOT a Dating Site Per Contract

Read the Terms. Per Contract, Ashley Madison is not a dating site. It's for "entertainment and amusement", to "explore their fantasies and entertain themselves". A few seemed real, but were either Ghosts or up to their necks in men callers.

450 credits at 9 creds per intro. Not one meeting but a dozen inquiries per day. For those who passed the Google Lens test (Lots of Tanya Tate/Hannah Graaf photos), it always ended with a demand for money/gift card to an anonymous digital address. Don't fall for it. Two demanded I send my life savings to them so they could open a Bitcoin account in my name. Several had urgent mother/grandma issues, spare a few hundred $$, pretty please? Doubt me? Tell me honestly! In four weeks, do you really think 200 women between 35 and 43 are going to throw themselves at a 70 year old fat man??? Not a single meeting in 40 contacts.

Site is geared towards members ( men) just spending money on credits to send messages to bots, fake profiles and get replies from escorts.
There is also algorithm setup that if you are running out of credits. The system lies to you that there are tons of interested NEW members that need to talk to you
FAKE FAKE FAKE.

I bet it's either AI bots or staff members who want to chat forever

They encourage you to get more and more credits. You don't have to buy any credits for chatting on AFMeets.com
It's membership-based which is a more fair system and they have a slew of genuine women, some of them are really sexy and naughty. Chatting on AshleyMadison can be an endless activity. However the worst thing is that it's completely pointless because noone is after a real thing there. Girls keep putting off personal meetings. They don't even want to talk for free anywhere outside of AshleyMadison.

Long time AM user review

I have been using AM for many years. I have met several great women on the site over the years and was fortunate to have met two affair partners. However, for the past 3-4 months, AM has taken a huge 180 degree turn. In the past I would receive 15-10 messages per day of which 25% were legitimate. Now, I get 40-50 and most are all scammers. I have been out here long enough to see by the user names, the profile messages, and of course the lack of any attempt regarding private photo, even but for one. Now over 95% of messages are fakes, frauds and scammers who immediately move to other platforms to steal your identity or money. Of course they steal guys paid for credits and AM sometimes gives them back. I used to be a HUGE fan but lately it is gone to the depths of a waste of time.

WHAT A JOKE - SCAM!!

WHAT A JOKE. Here is the process of creating a profile on Ashley (crap) Madison:
Ashley Madison is harder to get on, than getting govermnent credentials. This is ridiculous. First it was front and back of driver license, then it was a face scan while moving back and forth to capture all sides of the face.
Then it was literally spread your cheeks and let them take an rectal scan, then you have to swab a q-tip and send it to their lab. Then you have to put a lock of your hair in a jar and send it to their DNA analysis center. Then you have to actually suck on a chrome trailer hitch, that gauges how well you suck in terms of sucking power, teeth involvement, lip-to-surface ratio and length and time of sucking ability. After that you have to donate a kidney to charity and if the recipient person lives, you can then go on to the next test.

this site stinks, not great site. full of fake profiles.

this site stinks. not sure how it ever gets a 9 rating...it should be more like a 3. first off. I am on the site now. I get at least 20-25 likes/view request for messages a day but most are fakes. I can tell cause alot dont have pictures at all. you can see the same weights heights and towns are copied. be careful when people send you a messages you have to PAY toopen with YOUR credits . alot of them just want to chat to run your credits down. if they usually have blurred or no pic, if they have private pics, they are usually the same blurred pic or the same pic cropped once or twice. as soon as I delete 10. automatically another 5-10 pop back in box. like it triggers something. I average deleting and blocking 25 profiles a day. usually most dont have anything in them or blurred or no pictures you can't see thier face. I can tell they are spam cause I have specifics about looking for someone close to me and will get them showing across the country! I typicially call these profiles credit drainers... , almost like they are paid to make contact with you. 4/1/2026 site still same. they did add a search button for Verified profiles only whihc didnt have before. but still alot of fake profiles. any profiles that has names that look like a cat ran across the keyboard delete.. they are fake. it wuod be nice if Ashley would change the feature of only the Man paying for credits for opening messages. get with the time! its 2026. once my credits are out will delete my profile.

Nothing good!

I have been a paid member for a year. I have NEVER actually even come close to meeting a real person! Even those who starts out looking to be promising turns out to be catfishers! Not just a waste of money, more importantly, a waste of energy! That women don't have to pay attracts just the scammers!

A general feeling of dishonesty

I decided to purchase the cheapest credit package so that I could read some messages and see if the site was worth the money. The amount advertised was £49 from their 'a la carte' option. I completed the transaction and received a receipt for £62.98!! The extra amount was for 'mobile access'! This wasn't mentioned anywhere prior to completing the transaction and indeed anywhere else on the site. So dishonest. The 100 credits also whittle away so fast that it's hard to trust that they're being deducted appropriately. A general feeling of dishonesty pervades this site.

THIS WEBSITE HAS TO BE THE ABSOLUTE…

THIS WEBSITE HAS TO BE THE ABSOLUTE WORST FOR SCAMMERS‼️ I’M A 66 YEAR OLD MALE AND I GET AT LEAST 6 to 12 YOUNG LADIES ASKING ME TO CONTACT THEM‼️ SOMEHOW THEY HAVE MY CELL PHONE NUMBER AND TEXT ME. EACH AND EVERYONE SAYS WE CHATTED ON ASHLEY MADSON. WHEN I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I DID NOT MESSAGE ANYONE‼️ ASHLEY MADSON DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO STOP THIS. THESE LADIES SEND MESSAGES WITH OUT EVEN LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE‼️ MOST ARE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 36 to 39 AND IF THEY ARE 37 to 38 ITS A 101% CHANCE THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU‼️ I HAVE HAD THEM FROM 30 to 45. I HAVE ON MY PROFILE I WILL DELETE YOU IF YOU ARE BELOW THE AGE OF 46 AND THEY STILL MAKE CONTACT EVEN SEND COLLECT MESSAGES… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I ran my Ashley Madison subscription through Google…

I ran my subscription through Google Pay. After reading about all the bad stuff in reviews. I decided to cancel my subscription prior to my renewal date. With Google Pay all subscriptions stay open/canceled until the renewal date. AM even said I had to cancel through Google Pay. The day after the renewal date, three 100 credits purchases were charged to my card through Google Pay; all with different values for a 100 credits totalling about $200. I had to cancel my credit card, file a fraudulent charges with the credit card company and Google Pay. Google Pay refunded the smallest amount one, but said the other two don't fall under their refund policy; even thought their the exact same purchases. My n0ew cancel date is Feb. 14th, but my AM username and password are no longer working anymore on the site. Lesson Learned: Always use two-step verification on all cards, vett sites prior to subscribing, and spend the $200 on a street walker.

Has NOT changed in all the years

Has NOT changed in all the years, you sign up, make your selections, THEN you get messages from AM like, with a photo, hey, check this person out, message them now, ( THIS GETS YOU TO USE YOUR EXPENSIVE CREDITS,) AND THE PHOTO MAY BE SO OLD, THE PERSON IS NO LONGER A MEMBER, THEY DO NOT DELETE DEAD PROFILES, BUT KEEP THEM AS BAIT, THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT, A HUGE FRAUD AND DECEPTIVE SITE Designed FOR ONE THING, TO GET YOUR MONEY. AND NOTHING ELSE..I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT A LOCAL LADY HAS GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE 6 YEARS AGO AND MOVED ON, HER PROFILE IS STILL UP, THOUGH SHE IS NOT A MEMBER. SHE WAS JUST TRYING TO PAY FOR COLLEGE. ROTFL LOL....

There needs to be a 0 star for rating. There is absolutely 0 positive features of this site at all. It needs to be blocked from the USA and all other countries that choose to do so. Every single profile is fake, photos are AI, every message says the same thing, "what's your personal contact info...".
