GROSS NEGLIGENCE

GROSS NEGLIGENCE – Senior dog subjected to 2 failed surgeries (£2,600)

I strongly warn all pet owners against Ashgrove Veterinary Centre. My 10-year-old dog, Foxi, was subjected to TWO general anaesthetics within 5 weeks, and both times the surgeons failed to remove the specific masses we pointed out and paid for.
Despite paying over £2,600, the primary health issues remain unaddressed. Their own IDEXX histopathology report (Ref: 1011070806) proves their incompetence. Instead of the masses I requested, they removed easy, benign lipomas and even "intralesional suture material" left over from their own previous failed surgery.
To make matters worse, after two surgical failures, the practice owner suggested a THIRD paid surgery to fix their own mistakes. Risking a senior dog’s life with repeated, unnecessary anaesthesia for financial gain is medically and ethically indefensible.
I have full documentation to back up these claims. This matter is being formally reported to the RCVS and Trading Standards. Please, value your pet’s life and stay away.
