Ordered Varilight dimmer remote YRE8 (with LightScene™ feature) arriving promptly within the Royal Mail 48 deadline in perfect condition.

This remote is a game changer for granular lighting control, allowing up to 4 saved levels. No more 'dancing up n down' with the annoying YRC8 remote!

Just be aware that the remote blue LED must be on (steady, not blink) during normal operation before selecting your previously programmed light level. This means it is a two button operation!

Finally, the remote's 'last used' (fast track) button applies to ANY light level previously used, not just from your programmed LightScene™ presets.

I rarely leave reviews, but feel that the staff at this company go above and beyond to ensure that their customers are looked after. I put in an order, and they made the effort to check it against a previous order I had made, and query that the products were different, helped me to order the correct products to match, and then deliver them in a very timely fashion.

Over and above! I rarely bother to give feedback but this company went over and above in checking I had correctly ordered a specific part of my order. I found it extremely diligent on their part and very impressive. Delivery was also extremely quick. Would recommend and well done to the team there.

Really impressed with the customer service from this retailer. Online ordering was easy with email notifications on order status through to delivery. I did need help as one of the items although correctly labelled was actually wrong, (This was a manufacture packing error). Spoke directly to customer services, all dealt with no fuss. 10/10 As a Electrical Contractor I will be using Ashdown Home Store again.

I am very satisfied with the black bronze plate toggle light switches. They look so good now they have all been installed. But in particular, I am very happy with the sterling support received from Ashdown Home Customer services - in my case an employee called Sean - who when rung on several occasions with different queries and requests about my order was always helpful and always sorted out my issue.

Excellnt team especially simon, customised order and dispatched same day to arrive next day as urgently needed due to building works time as couldnt get any company to do it last minute online. Precision service and quality customer care. Prices also very competitive and good deals.

I have dealt with this firm on several occasions and have always found them to be extremely helpful and on all occasions, they have 'gone the extra mile'. Recently, my tap which I had purchased from them, started to drip. It was out of guarantee but nevertheless,Sean (?) rang the suppliers who in turn, got in touch with me and sent out two new cartridges free of charge. Would that more firms these days could be so helpful

I have nothing but praise for Sean and the team At Ashdown Home Store. The time Sean spent with me on email and on the phone making sure I had just what I needed in terms of electrical switches and associated items, was in my opinion, above and beyond, an absolute joy to deal with and I can highly recommend.

Sean from the order team picked up a (really subtle) mistake I had made in a follow on order and got in touch to check I had intentionally ordered the sockets in the specific finish which did not match a previous socket order. It was my mistake but his attention ensured the problem was corrected with no fuss. Outstanding customer service and a vast choice is why I shop here, you should too.

Both Sean and Simon have gone above and beyond to help me with my order. Firstly they didn't have all my huge list of items in stock so Simon arranged the manufacturers to send the order straight to me to avoid a delay. Then when the electrician was fitting my beautiful switches and plugs we realised that I had missed an item off my order, but by then the range had been discontinued. Sean was an total star and managed to get the company to make me the discontinued item so all my switches matched. They always answer the phone, are very knowledgeable, polite, helpful and get back to you when they say they will. An absolute pleasure, and cheaper than other places so I will definitely use Ashdown Home Store again *beam*

The quality of the sockets I have bought for our Georgian house renovation are amazing (G&H trimline in antique brass - looks exactly right with the interior fixtures, they really elevate things). This is a lovely friendly company to buy from and were kind enough to offer me a credit note when I needed to return some items which I had left too late which was really appreciated. Overall a great experience and I would recommend to anyone!
