I contacted my trade union at ASE, and Nikolaj handled my case. It was a very positive experience from start to finish. He reached out promptly after I submitted my request and carefully reviewed all of my documentation.
Shortly afterwards, he contacted me by phone and followed up with a detailed email. He was thorough and attentive, and he identified an inconsistency in my severance agreement that I could raise with my employer to improve my severance package.
Overall, I felt well supported and would definitely recommend their service.

As a citizen of the European Union
As a citizen of the European Union, I returned to my home country, Croatia, and continued to pay my membership fee to the ASE Fund. Before that, I worked for Renbud.Dk. After they decided not to give me any more tasks at work, I decided to return to Croatia. I did not receive an employment contract from the company I worked for from the beginning of my employment, so they manipulated my working hours with sick leave, mobbing and all the rest. When I contacted the ASE Fund, they did not offer me any job even after 4 months or even if the job center contacted me, they did not protect me from the employer, even though I informed them of the situation. I had no right to use lawyers in any way. I sent 50 emails to the legal department and communication with the legal department, the union and the service, they do not know who drinks and who pays, they just transferred me from one department to another and I had to explain everything to each one from the beginning. Now I am asking them for the PDU1 form that I should get from SKAT. Dk but by law the employer must terminate the contract which the unemployment fund had to provide me with, because the employer can misuse my documents and work permit. They are paid and they are not cheap at all. They have not done any of the above, I am still in Croatia and because of that I cannot get a job or have health insurance. Shame on a well-organized country that obviously favors colleagues from the company because I am not Danish h hh.... Terrible!!!

We would like to clarify that Ase is an unemployment fund. We cannot offer jobs, intervene in disputes with employers, or protect members against former employers. These matters fall outside our legal responsibilities.
Regarding the PDU1 form, it is used to confirm insurance and employment periods in Denmark. Our membership department has provided detailed guidance in English on how this form can be obtained.

I’ve had a disappointing experience…
I’ve had a disappointing experience with Ase Lønmodtager. The service feels unstable and inconsistent, and unfortunately, the level of professionalism is not what I expected from a union. On several occasions, I’ve encountered rude or dismissive responses when reaching out with questions . something that should never happen when you're paying for support.
Their hotline is often unhelpful, with long wait times and limited guidance once you do get through. Overall, I don’t feel that they provide the value or support they claim to offer. I wouldn’t recommend this union to others who are looking for reliable and respectful assistance.
