From the first call through the whole process Armstrong answered all of my questions and was a huge help in building my first big barn. The finished building not only matches the house( the wife’s only concern) but is solid. My builder, who only puts up metal buildings, was impressed by the material and the buildings sturdiness. This is the best purchase i have made wherein i actualy received more than my moneys worth.
Excellent combination of metallurgy and design. The people at Armstrong are great to work with. Easy going very professional. And they worked hard to get me the most for my budget.
On the outside this building looks like most buildings (i bought a standard design) but on the inside, that is most definitely when you realize the difference. The only steel with a paint coating is the beams and the sheets. All other material is zinc or galvanized. Not the cheap primed in Red oxide junk.
I don't know if they sale that stuff too. But do yourself a favor and don't get the primed. Because in no time it rusts and primer starts peeling, because no one follows the rules and paints it like advised. Who going to paint each and every purlin etcetera before installing.
I walk in my Armstrong building there is absolutely not a speck of rust. Shiny beams helping to reflect the light for a better view.

You knew exactly what i needed with the awesome advice on skipping the primed steel.
Also almost anyone can put the buildings together following there manual and drawings. Every single step and every single tiny part is discussed in the documentation.
To sum it up, saved me money, saved me time, Put me into a beautiful 40x40 that will last many Hurricanes and my lifetime.

Great building. Design and ordering process was easy. My salesman was always available to talk to about question. Delivery was on time. Installation was easy with the included plans.

Jeff worked with me regarding a steel building on our Montana property. He was very informative and easy to work with. As it turned out, we were unable to implement the project this year. However, he was great about keeping it on file and checking up on me in the future. I'm looking forward to working with him and the folks at Armstrong Steel in the future.

We were led to believe that our garage was going to cost 1/2 less than it ended up. There are so many undisclosed hidden fees that had I known I would have stick built it for the original price. Plus we are still Waiting on our garage doors to be delivered and I can’t seem to get an answer. Build it yourself and save thousands.

Do not use this company! They are crooks and frauds. This is a East Coast company pretending to be a local Colorado manufacturer. The scam is to not tell you anything about the building until they have received the initial deposit. Have you noticed how the website is extremely vague about the materials and pricing of the building? Yah, you only get this information once you've given them your deposit. Here's where the real costs come in. As an example, if you would like a walk door with your building, that will be an additional $2,250. That's right, for a door frame, door and hardware it will be an additional $2,250. Hope you didn't want two doors or possibly an overhead door. Your economical steel building is no longer remotely economical. If you have made the unfortunate mistake of signing the initial sales agreement and given them a deposit, you are screwed. You are now left with paying exorbitant fees for their products or sourcing every other component of the building for yourself, including walk doors, overhead doors, windows, insulation, etc. If this was the extent of the problem, that may still be feasible. Unfortunately, you do not get any mechanical drawings of the building until more contracts are signed and you have paid in full. Now they can start charging change fees for any modifications that need to be made by you based on lack of information. Get the picture. After about the fourth additional contract, they are literally asking the buyer to sign off on the engineering drawings themselves and have enough legalese to protect themselves no matter what they may do. If you really want to get the real flavor of this company, research the name of the Company president and do a Denver Post search with that name for an incident that occurred on April 14, 2004. It will tell you everything you need to know.

Hard to work with draft and no one to help unload and help to organize the assembly Just felt that after we bought the building we were on our own..

I ordered the building in January 2020 and paid the required down payment. The building was engineered and I paid the required payment n March 2020. I asked for a delivery date in Montana of July 9th, 2020. I was told somewhere near the end of June that the delivery date was moved to July 16th, 2020. Another week later I was told that the delivery date was moved to July 22nd, 2020. Everything on the inventory sheets were found on my physical inventory except the windows (8) and one entry door. I understood that they were to be delivered on a separate truck but I was never told that they would be arriving on a different date. After several calls, I finally found out that the shipment was coming out of Houston on August 11th but I still did not know when they were to arrive in Montana. In short, I still don't have my building erected due to trying to reschedule my subcontractors several times in rural Montana. I understand that the virus caused many of these problems but prompt communication could have limited some of them.

I've never ordered a building before. I over-ordered on insulation, but when I tried to alter the order, Armstrong refused. They pointed out that once I accepted the order, I was on the hook for everything or had to pay 50% of anything I wanted to delete. I understand if the insulation had already been cut or the building production even begun, but it hadn't. Not allowing these kinds of changes, offering no goodwill or recognition that not everyone who buys one of these is likely to buy another one, was crappy service, especially since I was paying cash. I'll not recommend Armstrong to any of my fellow ranch owners who wish to build storage structures because of its inflexibility and lack of customer-focused service.

Complete lack of usable information until the delivery date was set. almost six months from ordering and paying a deposit until the ship date. Could not give a date on any window of probable delivery of the plans, so I could deliver them to an engineering firm for county specific drawings. My building contractor almost gave up it took so long. Everything came in a sudden rush which left me scrambling to coordinate all the different aspects. Ordered on December 30 2019, as of today August 19 2020, the skeleton of the building is complete, siding going on. The erectors have been at it three weeks. Great quality building, some pieces missing, took about ten days to get them. I don't think any other building outfit is any better, having friends that have bought steel buildings.

We wish we had known we needed a different type of foundation before we had ordered this as we already had a stick built foundation set up. As of yet it hasn't been erected. We are trying to sell it but haven't been successful with that either. If you know anyone that can use this 30' x 50' steel garage with 3 doors, they can get a heck of a deal.

Sales people tell stuff that is not true, then they sent 2 beams that were the wrong length, which cause extra rework. They did send replacement beams approximately 18 days later, which caused about $1000.00 more labor and equipment rental costs, but they would not reimburse me for them. Also there customer service was very poor. It would take 2 to 3 days for them to get back to me, if they got back to me at all. Only one person at Armstrong was helpful and curtious the rest had horrible customer service. I will not purchase my next building from Armstrong again or recommend them to anybody.

Your product is great. I do believe that I was taken advantage of engineering and cost as I was not familiar with metal building construction. I was told by several people here in Louisiana, that the roof was way over designed....had twice as many purlings.....the insulation was labor intensive...thus costing more to use. Had to buy more to save cost.
And project manager and others would not answer a question or acknowledge an email and made me feel like I was just a pest when i was getting hammered on this end by contractor and workers. I thought i would be saving money by going this route, but, ended up spending much more. I am over 70 yrs. old and no longer have income. I was hoping to have a little padding for next few years. That is not happening.
I wish project manager would be more upfront about "must haves" and
"don't needs" with those of us unfamiliar with product. Because IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT, made here in USA!

I was pleased with the timely ordering and delivery. The quality of the materials was what I expected. The drawings were easy for the contractor to read and assemble the building.
To be completely fair the service after delivery left a lot to be desired. There was an engineering certification requirement to my plans that Armstrong did not include, and would not add after the sale. I had to get a second engineer to draw new plans for part of the building to certify it.
There were 2 pieces of trim missing. The timeline from delivery to inventory was not met due to my contractor being on another job so I would have been responsible for the cost plus freight (over $1500.00).

The Armstrong crew did an awesome job converting my ideas into reality. I received the exact building I wanted at a great price. Keep up the good work.
