Amazing Service

I contacted Apuljack about some issues I was having with my motorhome electronics. They tested the Sargent units and found no issues but recommended checking the EM40 unit, this was found to be faulty. They supplied a new unit swiftly and gave lots of advice and guidance throughout my experience.
Very helpful knowledgeable team.
Thank you very much

Fantastic service from Apuljack

Fantastic service from Apuljack. I had a faulty PCB on my motorhome fridge freezer (Dometic). On fault finding and telling me they could repair it, they also advised I probably needed a new igniter unit (BCD) before plugging the board back in. I took their advice and I am pleased to say my fridge freezer is now very happy, as am I.

Replacement Control Panel for Swift Bolero 680FB (simply takes minutes to do)

Exceptional help from all members of staff when we had a problem with the control panel on our Swift Bolero 680FB. I spent most of last year and this year trying to get help with a problem that no motorhome dealers seemed able, or willing, to fix. I was repeatedly told that a 2007 model was too old for us to replace the panel and at £90 per hour to tell me this was no joke. Last week I accidentally came across Apuljack Electronics Ltd.

I could have sent the original panel back for repair (NE183-M8 Nordelettronica) but on the advice of a member of staff ordered a new one Apuljack make (AE183-M8) which was much cheaper, fitted exactly and does the job wonderfully. It is better in every aspect than the original - much clearer and with far more information.

I cannot thank this company enough for solving the problem we had and was making us feel hesitant to go away.

This Company Sells Faulty Products and Makes a Profit on Unacceptable Refund Deductions

I was sent a faulty caravan control unit. I know this because the unit it was replacing still displays all information correctly (apart from an occasional screen flicker).

From the moment I reported the issue, the process became unnecessarily difficult. While Applejack were initially helpful, they repeatedly implied the fault was due to something I had done, rather than accepting that the unit supplied may be defective.

After weeks of back and forth, I was finally allowed to return the unit. I have now been informed that they intend to deduct 15% from my refund on the basis that the unit is “functional.”

If the unit is functional, can Applejack explain:
• Why does it display an external temperature of 220°C, while my original unit shows the correct normal temperature?
• Why does it fail to display the water level, while the original unit shows the correct reading?

The answer is obvious: the unit supplied is faulty.

Deducting 15% from my refund under these circumstances is unacceptable. Under the Distance Selling Regulations (now covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations), goods must be as described and fit for purpose. A faulty unit does not meet that standard.

Judging by other reviews here, I am clearly not the only customer to experience this treatment. This has been an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been — we understand how disappointing it is when a product doesn’t appear to work as expected, especially when you need it functioning properly.

We’d like to clarify that this panel is supplied directly from the manufacturer rather than being one of our own designs. To ensure accuracy, we carried out testing ourselves, at this point we offered you several options including returning the panel to the manufacturer for testing, receiving a refund minus the restocking fee (explained in our terms and conditions and in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015) or we could return the panel to you. We also offered further technical advice on refitting the panel via our technical team. The response you provided by email was aggressive and rude in the language used. To ensure we had provided you with the correct information we also returned the unit to the manufacturer for independent evaluation. In both our and their tests, the panel was confirmed to be fully operational. had the panel been found faulty we would have refunded your purchase in full.

We completely appreciate that it’s not working as intended in your vehicle, and we understand how that can feel like a product fault. However, modern motorhome electrical systems are highly complex, and there can be a number of factors unrelated to the panel itself that may affect performance. At this stage, we haven’t been able to identify a defect with the unit, which suggests there may be another underlying cause worth exploring.

Very poor experience. Order 200514

Sent panel for repair. Came back with faults that were not there previously.
Sent back to rectify the issues, some fixed, more found. Of course not their fault.
'it must be the electrical system that connects to the panel that's faulty'

Even though that was working before the panel was sent.!!
The communication from the company was none existant . Constantly having to email and phone for updates. Poor quality control if they can send back the panel with the faults they did.
Very expensive for the poor experience suffered.
I feel totally let down.
But of course it's the system that connects to the panel that's faulty... Easy cop out.!

Thank you for your feedback. We genuinely regret that this experience has been frustrating for you.
When your unit first arrived with a non-working screen, we replaced the screen as expected. Unfortunately, our supplier sent us a visually identical version without a backlight. As a result, while the display functioned, it was not illuminated. As soon as we identified this issue, we acknowledged it openly and offered to correct it at no cost to you, which we then did.

We were also surprised to read that there were concerns about communication, as our records show that we were in contact by phone or email approximately 2–3 times per week throughout the process. We have always aimed to respond promptly and keep you updated.
Regarding the additional issues mentioned:
• The rotary selector was not faulty but had slipped slightly down its shaft. We are careful not to overtighten these during installation to avoid damaging the component. We realigned and secured this for you free of charge.
• The row of switches you referenced does not contain internal circuitry within the panel itself; they simply act as pass-through controls for another unit in the vehicle. All switches were fully tested and confirmed working before dispatch. When switches of this type stop functioning, common causes are installation-related factors such as connector alignment or swapped connections.

We fully understand that when something does not work as expected, it is natural to assume the unit itself is at fault. However, in cases like this there can be multiple possible causes, and we base our guidance on our technical knowledge and testing of the product. We are always happy to help investigate all reasonable possibilities.

If you have since identified the cause of the switch issue, we would genuinely appreciate you sharing that information. Likewise, if you feel the matter has now been resolved, we would be grateful if you would consider updating your review to reflect the full outcome.
Our goal has always been to resolve the situation fairly and professionally, and we remain here to help if needed.

Replacement of EM40 fuse board

We had an EM40 fuse panel in our van that had a burnt connector on the back. Apuljack make an improved panel that is a DIY fit, however I did not have the confidence to carry out the change. I asked Apuljack if they would supply and fit a panel. This work was carried out in a quick and professional manner at a very reasonable cost. Thank you Apuljack Electronics.

Dear Mr Boys

Our EM40 board is very popular due to its vastly improved connectors and high current design. In cases when a customer would rather not fit the unit, we can sometimes perform this work at our premises.

Many Thanks - The Apuljack Electronics Team.

Daylight robbery

Bought a autotrail Control board (£350 approx) and have had nothing but trouble with it, sent it back for inspection to be told nothing wrong with it and charged £90 for the privilege, my van was checked over by auto electrician before he installed the allegedly better unit and again since with no faults found, received unit back and guess what still the same problems I was lied to over dispatching unit back to me and when I pointed this out they just stopped all correspondence, they also told me it was dismantled for inspection which was also a lie.

We’re sorry to hear that you’ve had a frustrating experience, and we do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

The charger you mention has the same input and single charging output as the original unit. In this system, that single output is switched between the leisure and vehicle batteries by the control panel, not by the charger itself. We test every unit thoroughly before it leaves us, and your charger tested correctly like all other units we despatch.

We have tried to explain that the engine battery charging is controlled by the control panel and how that process works, as this can sometimes lead to behaviour that appears to be a charger issue when it is actually related to the control system.

We have supplied thousands of these chargers over the years without this particular issue being reported, which is why we believe it may be worth considering whether another part of the system could be influencing the charging behaviour.

Of course, if you were unhappy with the unit, we would always have been happy for it to be returned for a refund rather than for you to feel dissatisfied with your purchase.

Shout out to Apuljack Electronics

Shout out to Apuljack Electronics - highly recommended
Our Dometic fridge freezer wasn’t working on gas or electric. Sent a few emails to Apuljack with questions which they answered quickly. Sent the circuit board to them to see if it could be repaired, it couldn’t but they offered a new one.
Price was well worth it considering the expense of a new fridge freezer
Try them for anything related to Motorhome electronics - brilliant service

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your great review. We are glad that we have helped you restore your fridge to working order. As you are aware, a new fridge costs a lot of money so a repair or circuit board replacement is very cost effective.

We hope you have many cold beers (or wine!) from your, now working, fridge!

No refund

Very helpful on the phone
Not to sure how my units were tested
Only to be told the units have no fault with them
After taking them elsewhere fault found straight away
I find this strange
So I am afraid I won’t be back

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback.

At our service center, we thoroughly test all units we receive, regardless of the symptoms reported. Our team takes pride in repairing and restoring units to the original manufacturer’s specifications.

Some issues, however, can be intermittent or only occur when the unit is installed in the vehicle. In your case, we were unable to identify a fault during our testing, which is why only the diagnostic fee was applied. Intermittent faults can be challenging to detect, and we understand how frustrating this can be.

We value your business and are always happy to discuss further steps or additional testing to help resolve any ongoing concerns.

LiFePo4 upgrade to EBL99

Sent my motorhome's EBL99 charger/fuseboard to Apuljack as they offer an upgrade service to my EBL99 to allow modern LiFePo4 (lithium) batteries to be charged correctly. Sent my 14 year old EBL99 to them and it was returned within 5 working days. The upgrade is working faultlessly and I am more than happy with both the upgraded unit and their communications throughout, initally answering some very basic questions I had regarding this service. Top marks Apuljack !
