Company takes no responsibility of manufacturing error

I've backed them on both Kickstarter campaigns. Loved the look, the second one even had a nice design. The quality and lack of accountability is the issue. If you got a good piece, you are in luck. My bag had a manufacturing error, the seam margins were too narrow and the seam under one of the shoulder straps popped open. Company replied "not normal wear and tear" and therefore not their responsibility, offered 15 USD towards fixing it. I got it repaired, the person who did the repair said it's not going to last as it's not been manufactured correctly. Now two years later the repair has come apart, as has the seam under the other strap. It's a shame, I like the designs but the quality and attitude is unfortunately not great.

First class stuff

First class gear, top shelf, and Cracker Jack quality so far in my opinion. I hope my new Mac Laptop will fit safely. Lots of options (D rings) for where to connect the strap. Did I somehow miss instructions here? Price is high but I think this bag will easily outlive me.

As great now as with the original crowdfunding

I just ordered my sixth bag since the original crowdfunded one 7 years ago (several were gifts). They have enhanced the product line since that first crowdfunding, and I'm pleased to say that of all the different products, different styles, the quality has maintained high over the years. The customer service is exemplary -- they are quick to respond with explanations or when it looks like something was duplicated. In all this time, through heavy use and packing to the limit, I have not a popped zipper or a ripped seam. (I had one broken strap ring a few years ago, after several years of use, but they were very quick to help with a replacement) They now offer multiple products beyond just the bags, including billfolds, travel bags, camera inserts, even a beanie. Everything I've ordered and used has been perfect.

Defective sewing - Customer service doesn’t answer emails

I tried to reach customer service by email a few times but never got a reply. My issue is that the bottom of the bag is not sewed right/evenly so it makes a rather big crease where bottom meets side and affects the look of the bag. I was appalled they wouldn’t even answer emails, but after more the two months of trying I started using the bag. Overall it’s a good bag, but the sewing isn’t up to standards for a bag of that price. One zipper on the inside pocket was also not finished off correctly so it fell apart. If they can get the sewing better it’s gonna be a good bag, otherwise it’s too expensive for the quality.

No complaints here! It is a great f'in bag!

I read through a good deal of these reviews and want to say I had an excellent Anvanda experience. I ordered the large camo bag with USB 2 years ago as a gift and it's an excellent, sturdy bag. My nephew was thrilled with the bag. I guess I placed my order long after the crowdfunding experince as receipt of the bag was fairly fast. I had the bag shipped directly to me so I could look it over before gifting it. I was so impressed with the bag that I nearly kept it for myself.
It is a very COOL bag. I am still tempted to purchase one for myself while the sale is in effect. Downside, color options are limited. Anvanda posts an array of colors but a good deal of the colors are unavailable....hint, try the Build My Bag option to unlock other possible colors.


The large is a great size, very roomy. and more practical for a multitude of different activities. The bag has a good deal of pockets and my tall 40oz insulated water bottle fit perfectly inside the outer hidden pocket, which means that hidden pocket offers a good amount of room for alot of extra stach. The outer shell and straps seemed pretty sturdy. Really liked that the bag is lined. The hidden rain cover is also a nice touch! I ordered a bundled kit to get extra padded straps, a long strap and top strap. By the way, the bag already comes with 2 long straps. I had zero complaints and the bag includes a lifte time warranty. In short, I did not know what to expect with my intial order and was pleasently surprised and satisfied with my purcahse.

I love the versatility of Anvanda bags

I love the versatility of Anvanda bags! They're flexible and stylish enough to suit every situation, and being able to carry them in different ways is super handy. The only struggle is to have to choose between all the cool color options!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. If you do buy from this awful company, make sure you like the bag because they will not accept returns. They’ll make you jump through hoops and then weeks later make up some ridiculous excuse as to why they can’t take a return.
Also, the bag isn’t that great…

I asked the customer service

I asked the customer service lady to give me a coupon and she said she would try and get back to me. One week later still no coupon. Can't believe they have the nerve to not give me a coupon. Any I went ahead and ordered the bag, it is absolutely my favorite bag and i get compliments galore

The bag they sent had dust on it

The bag they sent had dust on it, was flimsy, and had a discount coupon that expired back in 2019. I brought this to their attention, only for them to suggest brushing the dust off, and buying another item from them with a coupon. I tried to return the bag, but even though USPS said the bag was delivered to them, Anvanda claimed to have lost the bag. All the while, their customer support staff member was snarky and sarcastic with me in her correspondence. I’ve bought from several online retailers in the past who have been fantastic. Never buy from Anvanda — they do not care about their customers, products, or services at all.

Sent the wrong bag.

I backed Anvanda twice on Kickstarter.
The first time was alright, although the wallet I bought fell apart quickly.
The second time, I was sent the wrong colour bag. This was back in February. I have been requesting a replacement (i.e. what I ordered) but I have been told that they cannot send me the bag I wanted and will not offer a refund. I hate the colour I was sent and would not use it, so I effectively gave this company money for nothing. I have continued to find a way to resolve the issue, but they will go months at a time without responding to my messages.

Helpful, Professional, and Kind

I purchased the small version of the brown leather + black canvas original bag last year, and it is hands down the best bag I’ve ever purchased. I wanted the larger version of the same color scheme for air travel, but the website didn’t have it in stock anymore. I reached out to customer service, and a rockstar named Milica found ONE LAST version of the large black/brown bag in their UK warehouse and helped me to purchase it through the site (using a different color scheme of the same bag, but she worked it out on her end for me to receive the black and brown one). She was *super kind* and very invested/prompt with her emails. 11 out of 10 would recommend this brand for its products AND quality people.

Great F**cking Marketing Abysmal F**cking Customer Service

The top zip on my bag snapped rendering it useless. Obviously a manufacturing fault. I emailed Anvanda on 10th Aug explaining and with photo. On 11th Aug Milica replied to say its the first time that's ever happened (even though there are other reviews stating same issue) and would raise with manufacturers and look at alternatives.Still no response by 1st Sept so emailed again - no update but if I want to buy a zipper somewhere and get it fixed somewhere they will give me $15 towards cost! Emailed back saying what are alternatives as $15 won't cover it even if I can get a proper zip. 7th Sept Miica replies to say she's raising with her boss (now a month later). 14th Sept I emailed for update Milica replied advising doing their best to get a replacement zipper but can take 2 months as made in China. 'The bag has a limited lifetime warranty and people agreed to our policies while making a purchase' Not sure who reads 'policies' before purchasing but wouldn't expect a zip to snap because it is sub standard made in China! 15th Sept Milica mailed to say 'stay tuned' she had raised with her boss (again). Then replied again to offer the same as before (get it fixed somewhere or wait for the replacement zipper). I said still not acceptable and have given up now. 16th Sept Milica advises she is 'still waiting their response' and will get back to me with a better option. No idea at this point who 'they' are. Now 30th Sept (almost 2 months later) have heard nothing more. Just one delay tactic after another to waste my time. Once they have your money they really don't care. A textbook example of how not to do customer service. Appalling!

I backed this bag from the beginning

I backed this bag from the beginning. I really liked it, until the hardware of the strap fell apart. I reached out and was told just to squeeze the hardware with pliers and it'll be good. This didn't work so I reached out again. I was told sorry this is under limited warranty and I could buy a new strap with shipping. At a price tag like this I don't appreciate this. I bought it for wearing it as a backpack. Not happy.

DISHONORABLE COMPANY

DISHONORABLE COMPANY - I would give this company zero, if I could. Anvanda was taking preorders for their mini bag. When I preordered, the bag was $99; they were offering 25% off if you preordered. Great deal, right? So I preordered with the idea the bag would cost $75. Finally after a year and half, I received an email telling me that the mini bags are in and that the link they provided gave the discount. When I clicked the link, they increased the price to $125. That amount was crossed off with a price of $99. They will not give me the original discount they had on their website which was 25% off the price of $99. Instead, they wanted to give me 15% to shut me up. I didn't shut up and continued to send emails asking them to act with integrity and uphold the original deal when I preordered. They are NOT an honorable company. I've had several emails with Milica--who is the worst customer service rep. She doesn't read any of my emails and the last one was very condescending. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. They should be ashamed with how this was handled. If you want to buy into their BS like I did (great f**ing bag, blah blah blah), then go ahead. They have good marketing but they're horrible and dishonorable. I'll get another great f**ing bag from somewhere that's probably better made and with a better price.

Mediocre f***ing bag and terrible customer service

I waited over two months after paying for this bag, with no responses from the company to requests for updates on shipping expectations or requests to cancel and refund. It was only after I reported them to my credit union that all of a sudden it was on its way. When the bag showed up (in a very damaged envelope) I unwrapped it and took a couple tags off thinking I might be able to use it. However it was too small (the dimensions given for the large bag are exterior dimensions, as it turns out). Also observed some odd black fabric pilling (the bag is light green and white) and zipper pulls seem to be missing grommets (or are just of a flimsy design that will not wear well). So I put all the pieces into a different plastic bag for storage, and set it aside until I got back from a trip (with an old backpack).

Here we are two weeks later, I’m trying to work with them for a return. Last week, CSR Milica said since the bag is too small she felt refund rather than exchange was appropriate and that she’d send me info to get that process going. I filled out the RMA form , accepted paying for a prepaid shipping label as my only option, and then got an email today saying before they can send me the label, they need me to verify the bag has all tags attached and is in the original (damaged Beyond useful) shipping pouch.

I can understand to a point the tag thing, but it’s still an unused bag with manufacturing defects and the WORST customer service experience I can recall.

STAY AWAY FROM ANVANDA…Unless of course you want to throw money down the toilet, well then go ahead ;)

I gave this company one star because this platform does not have negative star options.
I'm now on day 60 waiting for my refund...warehouse received 60 days ago...I continue to email to get updates...sometimes I get a reply...lately it's been crickets...nothing, nada.
I seen that I'm not the only one who has been duped by Anvanda...
It's too bad...they may actually have a good product but it takes more than a product to be successful.
What I really don't appreciate is the threat in their 'auto-email reply' that basically states that if you seek to reach them on any other platform it will increase the delay in a response...
Well I'm in the cricket stage now... so I guess I've emailed them too many times asking where my refund is...

v1 a great bag and v2 even more amazin

i backed there 1st and this last crowdfunding campaign and with the covid issues i was wondering when it would ever arrive.

eventually it did and boy is it impressive! damnnnn the quality feels like a $700 tumi bag. I have a couple of those and although i like them as well anvanda just makes better color combinations. I have the black & red as well as the black on black. wifey has the bird design and shes always gettin' compliments.

i definitely recommend anvanda bags
