Unprofessional and Unresponsive
Went on vacation to Hawaii with my family and was specifically recommended to contact Anthony Calleja for photos. Reached out well in advance expecting at least a basic response. Never received a call back, email, or any follow-up whatsoever.
Because of the complete lack of communication, we ended up scrambling and working with our hotel at the last minute just to get photos done. When someone comes recommended and can’t even acknowledge an inquiry, that’s unacceptable. Zero communication, zero professionalism, and a waste of time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am sorry to hear about the frustration surrounding your inquiry.
I would like to respectfully clarify that I officially retired from professional photography on August 2, 2024, and my business has been permanently closed since that time. My website and related pages clearly state that I am no longer accepting bookings or providing photography services.
Even after retirement, I have continued making every effort to reply to individuals who contacted me and, whenever possible, referred them to other photographers. However, if a call comes from a blocked or private number and no voicemail or contact information is left, I unfortunately have no way to return the call or follow up.
During January and February 2026, I was also traveling overseas in Malta, which may have contributed to missed communications.
Throughout my career from 1982 to 2024, I was honored to work with many wonderful clients and maintained more than 300 five-star reviews on my Google Business Profiles prior to retirement. Professionalism, communication, and client care were always extremely important to me.
I sincerely regret any inconvenience or disappointment this situation may have caused your family, and I truly hope you were still able to capture meaningful memories during your visit to Hawaii.
