The airport is awful. It’s just been extended but still it’s so badly managed. Overcrowded at busy times, no trolleys available, long queue times and ridiculously priced food. One of the worst I’ve been to and I’ve been to 30+ countries

l needed to go to the toilets, omg what was that smell dirty and wet floor just 2 cabins. terrible

Absolutely awful! This would put me off returning to Turkey. From going through the doors to leaving on the plane every second was stressful long queues. Having got there 3 hours early for my flight at 10pm we still literally just made the tui flight to Gatwick within minutes of it closing. I pulled a tendon in my leg running to the gate. Such a shame as looking at the airport whilst running through it looked lovely. You must lose so much money through people not having time to shop. The tui ticket people where ultra slow just chatting casually and laughing between themselves. At times I was wondering if the girl on 564 was actually enjoying watching people getting stressed. I will definitely avoid returning.

Literally the worst airport I’ve ever seen in my whole life. How come there’s no a single employee in the waiting area to help? No help at all, all the staff I reached out to was extremely rude to me or ignored my existence. My flight ticket have no gate on it, it’s less than an hour until the flight and I still don’t know what’s my gate. How come? No seats for people, they’re literally sitting on the floor. Everything’s awful.

The passport control lady was extremely rude. Kept shouting at my daughter even though she is 8 and couldn’t understand what she wanted us to do. Only bad thing about our holiday. Customer service at this airport is shocking

Worse airport I’ve ever been to not an enjoyable experience at all!
You spend the whole time in airport in 4 different ques no time to shop or eat before you board the plane

Probably the worst airport in Turkey. Fraport are utterly shameless in the way this airport is run. Over priced is an understatement and there is no order at all. Complete free for all. The only polite individuals I encountered were the officer at passport control and the girl at the boarding gate. Seriously considering other areas of Turkey in order to avoid this national embarrassment.

One of the worst airports I’ve ever been to. They only accept digital tickets from a very limited nr of airlines (why???). The staff is rude, food prices are through the roof (12 EUR for a McD cheeseburger, really??). The staff is rude and doesn't seem to speak english. Flight was delayed.

If you have the chance to make use of a different airport, please do so...this was the worst i've ever been to.

Staff very rude not helpful at all and not respectful to elderly asked one staff member for a chair for my mum and he said you can't sit here very rude and said it's not my problem.

Wow what a horrendous experience !!!
Had a great holiday at the fantastic #titanicmardanpalace and then came the airport back,
A security check immediately at the entrance maybe 10 minutes not to bad I suppose as being through this airport before was expected
After check in where people having panic attacks and fainting, we were proudly pointed the new shiny way to boarder control and security. There must of been 5000 people with another 1000 stood waiting to get a boarding card scanned prior to getting to boarder control, no order just pushing to get through and as you could guess fighting and screaming started, got through that section and into one of 30 control points or so and waited as we inches forward in the heat because why would you need air conditioning with that many people or the fact we are in Turkey, and eventually formed into barrier formation, even then I’m not actually sure how you could get this part wrong in a brand new section of the airport, as they have installed more single lane barriers than boarder control personnel, so we then have 3 lanes going into one !!! let the arguments start again.
Finally get through that then security and that’s always a pleasure!!
No real time to look at the shops because it has now took that long, even at that point they must of thought how can make this more difficult than it needs be, and so install barrier tape across the main walk way so we need to force everyone through the isles
Nearly got to the gate and let’s do another security check

One of the worst airports I’ve ever been to.
The staff is rude and unhelpful, flights are constantly delayed, and the food prices are outrageous, even by airport standards. The overall experience was frustrating, with poor assistance and zero customer care. I absolutely do not recommend this airport.

Few bad points is confusing signs, passport control staff are so rude and treat you like garbage. 3 star only because of my airline which swiftly checked in. The prices of food is expensive more than normal in any airports.

What a absolute s**t show this place is 3 security checks? Can't be to safe I guess! But seriously passports was checked for at least 5 minutes per person took ages to just get through that that's after the initial check of your bags and hand luggage if your Turkish tho you go straight through. The place stinks and no one has a clue what is going on. Now after taking out a second mortgage on my home I purchased 3 meals from McDonald's coming to £76 yes that's 76 pound sterling around 4.2k Turkish lira! I would advise to just starve or bring something with you as the McDonald's tasted bad anyway. When you finally get to the gate after another security check most people are sitting on the floor as not enough seating, if you think Luton is bad this is worse a lot worse. Spend as little time as you can in the airport otherwise it may destroy your soul.

Just got home from Antalya today and noticed that the lock on my case was missing and a sleeve of cigarettes was gone out of my case am not too bothered about the cigarettes but the though of some rat had been in my case makes me feel sick all the security you go through to get on the plane they should look at there own staff first before searching everyone

The most idiotic airport regarding security check I have ever seen. After you pass 3 security checks the last one is the me Sci-fi one right at the boarding gate.
Prepare yourself for the drug test! They will take a test of your hands (with which you touch all the railings), from your shoes and clothes (which can be contaminated anywhere in the airport).
The only place they can really take samples is from your personal luggage.
I personally saw how a lady's luggage from the UK was controlled in the most Gestapo way, and all her clothes were taken off, attention! one by one including panties etc. without any shame in public humiliating the poor lady.
This is unacceptable, I remember Turkey's anger that it was not accepted into the EU, well gentlemen... you have a long way to go, human dignity and human rights cannot be violated for any reason, even that of flight security.

Why did I have to pay a check in charge for my wife and I of 10 euros as I checked in at Antalya airport.
I told the lady at the check in I’d already checked in online but she wasn’t interested or didn’t understand me as she was adamant I pay.Its a form of blackmail when there are so many customers behind you in the queue and you feel your holding up everybody and they know that and don’t let up knowing you will give in due to pressure.
Unfriendly unprofessional and a money grabbing system that I’ve never experienced at any other airport I’ve been too.

I cannot comment on all shops etc. The airport itself looks great. More space etc.
1. Bought a mckicken sandwich meal 15euro and 2 chicken pieces came to 25 euro. WOW double the price from scotland. Anyway I had to true itvas actually nothing in it except a very small square if chicken, a couple of slithers of lettuce. Nothing else. Took it back got exactly the same would put a picture on but cannot see an option. Absolutely disgusting way to treat people who have already spent thousands and thousands in their country. But what other choice all the prices were the same. So starve or pay for it. That's exactly why they are doing it. Other thing is where we're were at gate 216b you share with another gate. So only half the plane gets a seat until boarding. People with kids. We stood for over half hour in queue while everybody gets swabbed and search. Old people etc disgusting to be honest.

Terrible experience traveling as a solo disabled traveller. I have to say worst assistance service I've ever experienced at any airport. On arrival we disembarked with the specially designed scissor lift. The assistance personnel operating this were cheerful, helpful and pleasant, however when we reached the terminal there were no wheelchairs waiting and we were asked to wait inside the building where there was no seating. After a long wait the two other disabled passengers with me decided to try and do the walk but as I was already experiencing back pain with the length of time I'd been standing I decided to wait (alone by this point). When assistance eventually
turned up with a wheelchair I was taken by a sullen assistant to baggage reclaim where he told me I had to get out of the chair as he wasn't going any further. I argued that he had to at least get my case from the carousel which he begrudgingly did. He then told me if I needed taking to the transit bus there was a charge of £10. As I had no choice I had to pay this. Having spoken to a friend about this she told me the same thing happened to her when she went through that airport on an earlier occasion so this is not an isolated case. I had no problems at Istanbul airport a couple of years ago where the assistance man went above and beyond so this isn't a Turkish thing.

On my return I was dropped outside of the terminal where I could see no signage for assistance. I therefore joined the long queues to get through security which again left me in pain. From there I had an extremely long walk to the very far end of the terminal for check-in. No assistance was sign posted and no help offered. I had to struggle alone with a suitcase, bag and walking stick. At check in I asked if I could go through the priority section as assistance was booked. It was only at this point that a wheelchair was offered and two pleasant assistants summoned. I will never go back there. I managed to struggle through this time (£10 lighter) but doubt I will cope there next time.

Travelled the world and never been to a worse airport.

Absolute chaos from start to finish.

- Check in desks slow and incompetent
- You have your passport checked 4 times at different points causing crazy queues
- £20 for a McDonald’s meal / £17 for a beer!!!!
- All prices through the passport control are extortionate
- Very rude staff, who have 0 understanding what’s going on in there

Please check multiple social media platforms, as they all talk about it being the worst airport in Europe.

I've been to antalya Airport many times over the last 10 years and it's been chaotic most of the time with long waits and so many security checks and searches it's unreal .. just when you think you have had them all .. oh no not another one .. then when you were eventually through everything it was so crammed you couldn't really move about freely for the amount of people squashed into one place ... fast forward to June 2025 while there is still huge ques and a gazillion security checks the hole airport has undergone a full refurbishment and to be honest it really looks good with more areas to sit and shops to view the only downside is that it's now probably the most expensive.. £46 for a KFC bargain bucket that is normally £18 .
£16.50 for a 35cl bottle af carona. £27 for a bowl of katsu chicken noodles . Cans of coke £5 ect ect ... in-between McDonald's and KFC there is a smoking area and my god it stinks and gets crammed with people .. I'm mot a smoker but the smoke and smell is terrible .. they need some good extraction in there I think.
So antalya Airport has gone from being a terrible airport to being one of if not the most expensive airport and all the prices are uniform across the airport, but on a good note it's a more pleasant area now but all the money they have spent they have to recoup somehow
