Purchased Willow Bed with floating…
Purchased Willow Bed with floating mattress on 21/11/25. The quality was poor for 2 reasons:
The 2 ‘hidden’ supports for the base are not attached to the bed base. So when the bed is moved the supports just fall over on the floor. The bed was delivered and fitted like this by ‘and so to bed’.
The second concern is where the head board is attached to the base it has been done with plastic not metal attachments I assume to save a small amount of money. The holes for the head board attachment have also been drilled too close to the screw heads for the bed platform. So the washers don’t fit flat on the surface but are wonky with the other screw heads trapped beneath.
I left this review and was informed by astb that customer services would contact but they have not done so. Also, I can no longer find my original review.
Once I have been contacted by customer services and these issues addressed I am happy to modify my review but until then I feel this review should remain available to be read.
Bought a brass bed from the Harrogate…
Bought a brass bed from the Harrogate branch, within a number of years the finish had deteriorated badly. The company would not offer any kind of solution to the problem.
Would you be satisfied and would you buy anything again from them.

Amazing mattresses and pillow
Amazing mattresses and pillow, but the delivery was the best both George and Richie were incredibly helpful. Not only did they have an amazing service bringing both mattresses upstairs and into the bed but they also offered and helped me assemble one of my beds, thank you!!!

Customer Services
I contacted ASTB regarding replacement bolts that I thought were lost for a beautiful bed i had in storage.
I contacted the company who were swift to attend to my enquiries.
I cannot say enough to praise the outstanding customer service and assistance they provided.
Well done ASTB.

wooden Diego bed frame
My son purchased a wooden Diego bedstead, mattress and bedside cabinets. It wasn’t in their showroom but was on their website but we still purchased in store. When it arrived the bed-frame was 9cm larger than the mattress, it looks awful as you see cheap looking slates which we wasn’t expecting for the money he paid. we asked to return within the 14 day policy as we are not happy with the product but And so to bed have said we are unable to return as its not faulty. It’s not a bespoke product but they are saying that it’s not a stocked product so we are unable to return. They also said that Vi Spring mattresses can spread up to 5/10cm with use. It’s took them weeks and loads of emails for them to now tell me there is nothing wrong with the bed so we can’t return. Please be aware when purchasing from them as it’s unlikely they will accept a return. Just to make it clear the mattress is good and the bed frame is good on its own but together the mattress they offer doesn’t fit correctly which makes the products look awful.
Hard for me to recommend them
First problem, the bed arrived damaged. Scratches on the brass bedstead, which were very visible.
Second problem, the packaging was damaged and the instructions were missing. Beds are not that difficult to assemble in general, but this one seems to have some unusual options and it wasn’t clear whether they were required or not.
Third problem, customer services refused to respond to every request for a copy of the assembly instructions. Three emails later and I still haven’t heard back from them.
Their beds are not cheap. The quality and customer service is poor, however. Hard for me to recommend them.
I sent email to purchase particular…
I sent email to purchase particular Brinkhaus pillow and received quick respond. Thank you Bethan for your professional support. It was pleasure to deal with you. The transaction thanks to Bethan was transparent and easy.
I can highly Recommend And So To Bed Solihull for purchasing bed, mattress or bedding.
And so to stick up for And So To Bed!
Reading negative reviews here made me want to share our positive experience of this company, which we have used before and returned to because we had a good experience first time round. We bought a Vispring traditional bedstead mattress earlier this year, and went to And So To Bed because we know they deal in unusual sizes (we needed a Small SuperKing). Joel in the Harrogate store was attentive and professional and laid out all of the various options and prices clearly for us. Once our order was placed the product was delivered, competently and carefully, with even less lead time than we were told to expect. It meets our expectations entirely. We have no experience of the post-sales customer service which others complain is so bad: but we are happy with the product so hopefully won't need to call on it.
No instructions…
No instructions…. Poor when you spend so much on a quality product, but the fall at the last hurdle.
Head office couldn’t even email them through.

Over 46% 1 star reviews says it all. Utterly dreadful company. Bought £11,000 bed frame 10 years ago and had problems immediately. Had continuing problems with the upright stands under the bed. Incredibly they are made of plywood and screwed into the frame so they split. The material is also discolouring despite being covered from new. Totally disinterested customer support including lying. Vastly overpriced. Appalling quality. None existant customer service. Never again. Note Disingenuous reply only makes the situation worse. They offered nothing free and lied.

We recently visited And So To Bed in…
We recently visited And So To Bed in Harrogate. We were warmly greeted by Joel. He took the time to listen to our requirements and was very knowledgeable of all the products. There was no pressure at all as we tested lots of different mattresses. We were very satisfied with the service received and I’d have no hesitation in recommending this store.
IGNORE FAKE 25 YEAR GUARANTEE PROMISE
IGNORE their FAKE PROMISE of a 25-year mattress guarantee.
We had been ‘liaising’ with their ‘Customer Care’ team for months after trying to initiate their original promise to us 22 years ago after spending around £12,000.
After about 16-17 years of use, the Super King zipped-together mattresses started to noticeably lose their lives. We began to look for alternatives and then came lockdown. (We had totally forgotten about the 25-year guarantee, as is their OBVIOUS hope!)
Because this was such an expensive and important purchase we decided, post lock-down to make do with a new topper whilst we trawle around the now hugely expanded mattress market. THEN…. We somehow remembered we had a 25 yr guarantee! Yippee!
Can you imagine how happy we were at this point? Can you imagine what happened when we contacted And So To Bed?
‘THEY’ don't keep their customers records 🤔
We were unable to find our own household records from 22 yrs ago ourselves but imagined that because of the large sum we’d spent 22 yrs ago (£12k) would be proof enough of our luxury purchase.
They asked for photos from each mattress label - bed itself blah blah blah and wriggled so much to the extent that they suggested we hadn't in fact bought this mattress ourselves but had bought it second hand!!!
We built our own home 22 yrs ago and for the first time in our lives bought everything brand new after years of family cast offs. We worked hard to create our beautiful home and were deeply offended by their ‘care’ and mishandling.
The case was closed when they somehow pulled out of the bag some phoney ‘proof’ all of a sudden, that we had bought a mattress with a 5 year guarantee - £12k? HEY HO!! Live and learn - THEY ARE LIARS - BE WARNED
We looked around several stores around…
We looked around several stores around Surrey and different types of mattresses however we particularly impressed by ASTB Guildford, with the knowledge and expertise of the weekend manager, that we bought two ViSpring Baronet via their on line site -had delivery within a week and have had superb sleep ever since. Thank you ASTB Guildford, highly recommended.

Please note that you may make a purchase from a local store but your future dealings will likely be with the centralised customer services. At the time of posting 45% of the Trustpilot reviews are one star. Just think about that for a moment!
I wish I had, but unfortunately I didn’t check it before I made a purchase from ASTB in Bury St Edmunds. The mattress started to sag almost immediately after delivery and has just got worse and worse. I contacted customer services, they have arranged two inspections several months apart - the second inspection at my further request.
There has been a disconnect between customer services and the inspector - the inspector didn’t know what the sagging tolerances were for the mattress in question (an Aireloom Laguna) and advised me that ASTB would know. ASTB have told me that there are no official measures for tolerances and so how they are making a decision on whether my sagging bed is in or out of tolerance, I don’t know!
Further, the tone of their customer service over email is at best curt, it is certainly not a good example of how to treat customers that have parted with hard earned money to make a significant long term investment. They appear to have no interest in working to resolve an issue and have emailed me today to advise that my case is closed, despite having not answered outstanding points.
On the mattress I bought, there was no trial and so once you have purchased you have no right of return unless the mattress is faulty. Whether a sagging mattress is faulty will be determined by reference to “tolerances” but ASTB doesn’t know or won’t tell you what those tolerances are.
It’s a risky place to make a purchase from, especially when there are many retailers that give you up to a year to trial the mattress.
In summary: this is a brand that has consistently bad reviews on Trustpilot, when things go wrong you will have to deal with a centralised customer services team that may not reflect the company you bought from in the showroom, and you could be left with an expensive mattress that is unusable.

Thank you to Stuart for showing me and my partner around the Guildford showroom and explaining the difference between all the beds and mattresses on display! We were very grateful for your attentive customer service.

Everything Excellent….A+++
I recently ordered a VISPRING Bed from Dan Doherty based at the Nottingham Showroom. Order experience was first class and Dan provided excellent customer service to me from initial enquiry to arranging a suitable delivery date. Dan was happy to answer any questions I had before placing the order and was extremely helpful and attentive to my needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending AND SO TO BED LONDON…A+++ 😀😀😀

Great experience
We purchased a Vispring bed from And So To Bed in Kings Road served by the manager there Jeff Cohen. The service he gave us was excellent and we are now enjoying perfect nights sleeps on our Vispring Kingsbridge bed.

A pleasant experience! a double bed from And So…
I have bought a double bed from And So To Bed and cannot praise them enough. From the beginning they were helpful with swatches. Sending other suggestions of fabrics along the lines of what I had been requesting. Always quick to reply to any of my queries. Bed arrived earlier than expected - always pleasant- and arrived on the date settled on for delivery. Nicest delivery men who fitted the bed together and were thoughtful of my property. This is a premium company that I recommend.

Truly awful customer service!
Truly awful customer service!
No communication about delivery’s or updates unless you chase them yourself, when I spoke to the manager he was so offhand and basically said ‘so you want to cancel’ rather than trying to resolve the fact they I had been waiting 2 months longer than agreed for my product.
Avoid and spend you money elsewhere.
