Such bad customer service. I was shocked especially by one employee (sunset mall, FL) that had 0 manners. Not even a smile at me. AMC theaters overall are pretty good but they could really work on their customer service.

Watched “Fall Guy” at AMC theatres in Century City, Los Angeles. The sound cut out for the final 20 minutes and ruined the entire end of the movie. Technical issues can happen, I understand, but since I’m visiting from the UK their offer of a free pass at a later time was no good to me as I’d be leaving soon.

I was directed to guest relations to get a refund, where is discovered that they were unable to refund me without the physical tickets present. Out of the 3 of us watching the film we had 2 of our tickets as well as the actual receipt and proof of purchase on our phone via our banking app. Still no dice. In 2024, with proof of purchase provided their “system” was unable to offer us a refund without actual physical paper ticket. Despite taking this up with a manager they still were shockingly unable to do anything for me.

AMC your inability to offer a refund as a response to a technical issue that ruined the movie is terrible and totally unacceptable for 2024. Absolutely terrible service.

Their customer service is a joke, and it sucks to say because I love amc. But recently I bought a ticket to the wrong theatre by mistake and I only bought it 20 minutes before because I’m only 10 minutes from the theatre. Went to go watch the movie and they said, “hey man wrong movie, nothing we can do” I said that’s fine I’ll do the refund. Then it gets to customer service, there’s no number or live agent, I just fill out a form and hope they get back to me I guess, but that doesn’t happen. They just email me a form asking how their customer service is? I think I’m just gonna warn people about this on twitter to be careful cause that’s one of two way to reach out to amc apparently.

I was trying to book tickets through the website, was told numerous times that there was an error with the payment. Impossible to contact them on the numbers provided, the 'high call volumes" lie, then just rung out.
Checked my bank, and I've been charged 3 times but still not one confirmation email. Amazingly dreadful customer service. People need to speak with people, not ### recordings of cheerful voices offering you no help at all.

I purchased 2 adult tickets, 2 drinks, and popcorn for $67. I called the theater to cancel the tickets and ask for a refund or voucher before the show started because I couldn't make it because car trouble. After I was told that I have to do that online, I didn't find the get to do it online be the show started. So I can't get a human on the phone and not receive no replies through email either. Even though there is a digital record showing the tickets was not used. I'm out of the money which is not right when No show is cheap nowadays. Bad Customer Service, BS policy for a stubs member

No napkins.. butter was out… bathroom floor was sticky and or pop on the floor. Came out of movie and still no napkins or butter?

Bought an AMC gift card, didn't work. Called customer service waited 4 months no refund. Called back and they gave me a 30 step process to get 40 dollars back. Don't waste your time with these crooks. Go to a different movie company.

Terrible service in AMC royale 6 in Norwalk. I came with my family to enjoy a movie. When I asked to buy some food. they told me they were closed. They told me they close 15 mins after the last show. I explained that I was late for the last function because I went to the wrong theater but they didn’t care. They were very rude and couldn’t even give me some popcorn that was already made in from of us.

I came to watch Dune 2 at the AMC Theater in a Northbrook, IL and had the loudest audio ever! So loud we couldn’t hear the voices and distracted us from the movie itself. I asked an employee to lower the volume who acknowledged the loud sound and told me he was going to talk to the manager but nothing changed . This is unhealthy and a hazard.

104dB sound can damage your hearing

Used an app on my phone and measured over 104db of sound pressure. Literature suggests 5 minutes at that level can permanently damage your hearing. It was at or over 90dB for almost the entire "isn't our sounds system great! You can FEEL it" segment. Worst was during the previews. I kind of expect that level for seconds during cannon shots and whatnot, but not for as long as they ran it. We almost walked out. This is also a recliner only theater. Years ago AMC had food service at these premium theaters, but I think they moved and eliminated it. Bar was not open for our 3:45 show, guessing that is "after 6" only. $17 for a pretzel? Really? Don't care how big it is... that is just silly.

I have been requesting a replacement for my lost/ stolen gift card since November. They will only communicate through email. I provided a clear copy of my receipt and emailed it to their gift cards email address.
After several follow ups, I finally received an email 2/7/24 stating they can't locate my card number using the receipt and for me to contact the merchant, Kohls. I contacted Kohls who stated that they put three zeros in front of their receipt and for AMC to enter the number without the zeros. I contacted AMC back and there has been no response. It's strange to me how AMC doesn't know how to enter their card numbers from the merchants receipt, there is a communication barrier. I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years with them and I vow to never use them again.

Came to see One Love tonight. Screen turned colors but we still watched for at least 30 minutes then green lines appeared in the left corner… THEN IT just STOPPED!!! The sweet girl at the front desk said to wait.. the manager will RESTART THE MOVIE and we were welcomed to stay and watch… MA’AM.. 20 minutes were left!!! I definitely am getting a refund.. don’t want to come back! Ruined a love story on Valentine’s Day!!! Terrible

The movie Origin is not playing in a heavily populated black & Latin ameri an areas. AMC CAROLINA PAVILLION is not hosting on its opening date of Jan. 19th! This movie has Oscar buzz all over it. WHY IS THIS MOVIE EXCLUDED FROM THIS THEATER? Please run the movie here. I had a party of 10 all set to view this film here in our local area. Now we have to track it down elsewhere, which is a travesty!!!
