Five Star review for a week at Chalet…

Five Star review for a week at Chalet Philibert in August 2026.
My wife and I (we are both in our 60’s) had a lovely break in Morzine between 15 and 22 August.
The Chalet was nice with only 7 rooms I think, so was intimate with a family atmosphere.
All Alpine Elements staff were excellent, and there needs to be a special mention of Archie and Thea, who looked after us so well throughout - they were both great in the kitchen, creating great food everyday (Archie you are brilliant) and being able to cater for both adults and half a dozen food selective children with patience - everybody ate everything 😁.
Due to a recent dodgy knee we didn’t use the allocated bikes, nor take part in either the high ropes activity or the white water rafting, which were massively enjoyed by everyone else in the Chalet; we did do a lot of walking though and made good use of the lift passes a s free busses in Morzine.
We were a little disappointed by the last minute cancellation of SUP due to weather conditions (which we were going to do) but sometimes these things cannot be helped.
Transfers from Geneva were excellent and simple even when experiencing issues. Our flight from Gatwick was delayed by nearly 3 hrs, meaning we would miss our booked 1230 transfer, so I followed the instructions, called the contact and made her aware and she moved us to a later transfer - all done quickly, reassuringly and without issue.
As two 60+’s we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend holiday and firm to everyone, regardless of their age and whether you are holidaying with children or doing it as a couple.

Simply outstanding!

Simply outstanding holiday which I can't recommend highly enough. The staff are really what made it especially special - every one of them played their part, from the activity rep, hotel manager, catering staff, cleaners, mechanics - you name it... they were all exceptional. As too, where the staff, facilities, and activities on offer through their Activity Partner (I particularly recommend the downhill MTB and Canyoning). The hotel itself was exceptional - just the right size for all the families to get to know each other, beautifully appointed with a cosy ambience, superb outlook, and a great location, especially if you have a car (though buses go up to the higher resorts every 30mins or so). Great facilities, including hot tub, sauna, steam room, and extremely comfortable beds. Couldn't fault anything and proved to be one of the best holidays ever.

A perfect active family holiday

A perfect active family holiday. We had an amazing week at the hotel philbert (in Meneusier room - good size for family of 4). The hotel itself was gorgeous - feel of a traditional chalet hotel and run by great staff who looked after us brilliantly. The food was excellent and plentiful and the pool/ spa area was a great place to relax with the kids at the end of the day.

The 3 activities are great and really well organised, leaving time to plannither things - staff were very good at suggesting other things to do.

Overall I think it represents really good value for money considering everything that is included ( our activity pass got us up many lifts and free entry to two excellent pools too!). We did so much and really payed little more than the cost of the holiday itself.

Excellent family holiday

Just returned from a week at Hotel Philibert and it's been amazing. A great family holiday with the right mix of organized activities and down time to do what you choose. The weather was fabulous meaning we made the most of the glorious surroundings and enjoyed many an hour relaxing by the pool with afternoon tea after a hectic day of activities. Would highly recommend anyone considering booking to do so now

Fantastic holiday

Fantastic holiday! All the team at Hotel Philibert were brilliant. Very knowledgeable and welcoming. Everyone was charming, smiley and personable and worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. The food was delicious. Great selection on the menu every evening and really high quality food with lovely presentation. Tea and cake at tea time meant we were never hungry! Chalet was clean and superb location high in Morzine with great views. Quiet away from the road and the kids all loved playing together with other families in the pool. The bike team were also so helpful and knowledgeable.
Only suggestion for improvement would be some more detail/support with booking additional activities prior to the start of the week. If we are expected to book directly then some website links / content details for the specific local providers would be helpful as we had to do quite a bit of google searching to find providers and work out their location/logistics and childcare to make it work which could have been a bit smoother. However the activities themselves were all amazing and we will def be back again! Thank you Team Philibert!

Fantastic Holiday at l'Hermine Blanche Morzine

We had a fantastic two week stay at Hotel l'Hermine Blanche in Morzine. All the staff were fantastic, really friendly, helpful and there to do everything within their power to ensure we had a good time. The food was superb throughout our stay with Chef Ben and his small team producing amazing quality dishes night after night. The waiting staff kept smiling for every service, despite temperatures in excess of 35c for the first week. The cycling in the area is on a different level, the downhill and xc mountain biking is on a different level and the road cycling varied and plenty challenging enough for even a hardened cyclist. Robbie & Sam were so helpful and enthusiastic, dealing with bike maintenance and advising on the best trails & route's. Charlie on the Bar was "ace", happy to create and serve another "special", nothing was too much trouble. We were very sorry to leave at the end of our stay, a fantastic holiday, would certainly recommend Alpine Elements made special by the amazing staff at l'Hermine Blanche, we'll be back.

Fantastic for familes and kids looking for an active holiday

Fantastic, helpful staff with excellent communication from start to finish. The included activities meant there was never a dull or quiet day, and there were plenty of additional activities available in the surrounding area, although these do come at an extra cost. My daughter and I particularly enjoyed the Via Ferrata around Morzine and exploring the beautiful local area.

I only have two minor suggestions for improvement:

1. The food was excellent, but it was perhaps a little too sophisticated for guests with a limited palate or for some children. That said, the staff were incredibly flexible and always did their best to accommodate individual requests.

2. The white water rafting experience from Morzine was a little underwhelming. The river water levels were too low to create any significant rapids, so the experience didn't quite live up to expectations.

Morzine Hotel Philibert

We were a big party of 15 from various worldwide locations and from booking with London office to the end of the holiday Alpine Elements staff were so helpful. Everything was clear and simple. Our rep Anna was fabulous, readily available by text and frequently at the hotel in person. Hotel Philibert in Morzine was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The meals were delicious, plentiful and great choice of food including kids meal options. Tea/ coffee available whenever we wanted. Staff were all friendly and keen to offer advice on hiking trails/ activities. We had a brilliant activity holiday with wide range of things to do to suit everyone. Would definitely recommend!

Great, ultimate, week Mountain biking with my son.

A great 6 days mountain biking with my son in Morzine and the Porte De Soleil. Staying at the Hermine Blanche. We were out on the amazing trails all day every day, uplift after uplift was amazing. Each day we were back to this small, relaxing Hotel. Food, evening meal and breakfast were very good and rooms were cosy and practical. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Making it an amazing experience all round! thankyou.

Chalet Well

We have just returned from our first family experience of a chalet catered holiday and have had such a lovely stay. Alpine Elements have provided such a personable service in every way. Unfortunately our regular chalet staff member was off work unexpectedly so we had a number of temporary and cover people looking after us, with our main chalet maid then being the amazing Barbara. Barbara cooked such lovely meals, she rustled up alternative options for the other guest’s younger children and didn’t mind also adapting the menu for our older teenagers. Over our week we also met chalet staff Maddie, Lawrence and team manager Jack, as well as at least three other members of staff who I’m afraid I do not recall their names. We noticed that all staff introduced themselves to us warmly and always asked us about our stay and gave us tips. Caitlin our Alpine Elements activities rep was very friendly and helpful, she contacted us the week before departure to confirm what included activities we would like to book and to ask about bike and dietary requirements etc.

The activities included in our stay of white water rafting (very tame due to low water levels but made entertaining by the instructors), the kayaking/paddle boarding and High Rope challenge were enjoyed by those that chose to do them.

The free bike hire is excellent. Whilst most people choose mountain bikes we requested road bikes and although we are quite particular about our own UK bikes, we were very happy with the ones provided.

Chalet Well is very comfortable. We had one lovely spacious double room with a spacious bathroom and then a rather compact twin room with shower room. Good quality bedding, towels changed once a week. There are a number of communal relaxing spaces so families could sit together or separately as preferred.

As previously mentioned, the food was excellent. Three cooked breakfasts were provided per week and a continental choice the other days. All evening meals consisted of three courses, were freshly cooked, delicious and served in generous portions. We loved afternoon tea each afternoon. It was great to get back from day out to have drinks set out and a delicious cake of the day plus fresh bread and conserves waiting for us.

The multi pass provided was absolutely brilliant. We could go to the large outdoor and indoor Morzine pool complex and the indoor Avoriaz pool completely free of charge. The cards have free access to all the local chair lifts and cable cars and to the local bus system. We also got between 10 and 15% discount on buying tickets for the Zip Wire, the Morzine tobbagan run and the inflatable water park at Les Gets.

We booked the free Geneva airport transfers and found these very well organised and on time.

All in all we were very happy with our holiday and hope to return to Morzine with Alpine Elements in the future.

Great week away

I had such a good time, the food was incredible, all of the staff were very friendly, especially Charlie, the bartender who kept us company in the evenings. The location was very easy to find and the bridge to the main town was less than a 5 min walk away. The rooms were slightly smaller than expected but plenty big enough, 9/10 would recommend.

Chalet Petit Philibert

We stayed in Chalet Petit Philibert in Morzine. The company's first week of the season, but the staff seemed on top of things from the word go. Great food and the chalet had a superb view of the mountains. Weather was hot, so the use of the pool at the adjacent Hotel Philibert was a bonus. Amazing value considering the included activities etc.

A great budget activities holiday in…

A great budget activities holiday in the Alps. The accommodation was lovely with nice sized room with balcony and spacious spaces indoor and outdoor to relax and swim between activities.
The included activities were well organised with Apline Elements staff on hand to help with registration etc.
The staff were superb and super helpful and the included catering was very decent for the price paid.
The multi pass provided also saved a lotvof money on lifts and access to other activities.
Great Value for money overall.
