dont trust this roofer... Patrick
First Patrick from All Styles Roofing was here quickly and seemed to be a good start to help with a roof repair for our house in Edinburgh. Very Irish guy, lots of "God bless" and I swear by my children... He came back the next day for the repair (leaking and water dripping from the bedroom ceiling). He said the whole flat part of the roof has to be done as only the most essential roofing had been originally done, not taking into consideration the Scottish rainy weather. I asked him to take pictures of the status before and after. I have to trust him as I cannot go up on the roof myself. The work was concluded by the 2 men after 3h. He said as soon as I have paid I get the invoice, the 20 year guarantee certificate and all the picture taken sent via email from his brother from the office - as it is a family company. He wrote down his bank details on a sheet of paper. Now nearly 2 weeks later I am still waiting to get anything, no texts are answered anymore, or calls or emails I sent to their official email address on their website. So I have nothing for the insurance claim, no guarantee papers, just nothing at all. I have no idea but can only imagine it was not official and he keeps the money for himself rather than as official payment for a service, Very disappointing to leave me like that. I learned my lesson not to trust any trader anymore before I have not all papers - before I pay. Seems I was just too naïve and believed the Irish charm. But I reported the company to the trading standards as a not trust worthy trader...
