Great company & good deals
Your offers are good, easy to read, fully informative and very easy to implement. You are by far one of the better insurers out there. Sad the offer for my second car was not very good so unfortunately it was insured somewhere else for far less.

This is by far the WORST car insurance…
This is by far the WORST car insurance company in Germany. They are refusing to pay our compensation for several months and Mr. Engolf is refusing to tell me who is responsible for our case.
They ignore emails if you have a claim but are super fast and friendly the moment you need to pay them.
DO NOT USE ALLIANZ DIRECT!!!!!

Satisfied with My Travel Claim
I recently submitted a travel claim with Allianz, and while the process took some patience, I was relieved that everything went through in the end. The website could definitely be easier to navigate, but once I managed to complete it, the claim was handled properly. I appreciate that the staff were polite and responsive, which gave me confidence in continuing to use Allianz for future insurance needs. nice job, i would say :)

Unable to make a travel claim
I have been trying to submit a travel claim online for the past 1 month but the website does not work. I have tried three different browsers, but every single time after going through the whole process of filling in the details the webpage goes "something went wrong, please try again" at the final submission page! There is no working email apparently - customer support (with an AllianzDirect email address) replied that they cannot help me as they can only access Allianz Travel insurance. As a consumer I am simply confused. The customer service even signed off with "Allianz Direct" so this makes zero sense. Not sure what is going on, highly fishy and I will never get an insurance from Allianz ever again.

I did a contract with them
I did a contract with them, tried to pay it with my paypal and somehow it didn't go through which means im not insured. Im pretty sure they'll take my money in a few days when i dont need that. My travel begins from tomorrow, tried to contact Allianz but no answer. Stupid AI Elisa doesn't let me go through. Bunch of clowns.

Customer service issue
The car insurance was not that expensive and the process was quiet fast. Altough im trying to contact them by phone several times despite the ridiculous 15 minutes waiting time, no one speaks English and they are not answering my emails.

I don't really know why the insurance…
I don't really know why the insurance by this company is so expensive. I wanted to look for another one but chose to stay with this because i already been with them for the past 2 years, but this makes no sense. First year i was paying 1000€ for VW golf and then started to increase with 250€ per year untill I called them and asked about this, then i got a discount of 400€, just because i wanted to quit they're insurance . This is nice

Update: Unacceptable service – claim ignored for over 4 weeks
I cannot recommend Allianz Direct. My claim has been completely ignored for over 4 weeks despite multiple emails, calls, and even a confirmed receipt of my documents. No one follows up, no response, no action. The customer service is clearly overwhelmed and unqualified. Avoid this insurer.
Update: following this review Allianz Direct customer team contacted me directly, after explaining what happened, I then got a call 2 hours later from the claims team which was extremely helpful and assured me the claim would be settled within 3-5 days. So lessons learned, Trustpilot does work, ratings do matter, but it should not be the normal way of going through a 1 star review on Trustpilot to get things moving. I will give Allianz Direct the benefit of the doubt that my claim was lost, and will raise my rating to 3 stars after getting back to me so quickly

Customer service said they are not allowed to speak English. It makes me feel like I am not welcome, while migrating into Germany. I will get insurance somewhere else then... You lost a customer.

Very pleasant and helpful
My German is really bad, but fortunately the person I talked to gave my number to her coworker and soon after I got a call back from another employee who speaks english, the person that talked to me was very friendly, helpful and understanding, gave me relevant information and dealt with the problem at hand, couldn't ask for more.
