The author of the book is the mother of an old friend of mine. She just passed away and her obituary is how I learned of this book.

Easy ordering but I was unable to cancel an additional order I made due to my credit card needing update. I just mailed the extra copy to a friend.

I am so happy to have Alibris in my arsenal of resources. I can usually find something I want or need, at reasonable prices, and I have not experienced any real problems with item condition deviating from what is listed. On occasion, a missing dust jacket or some handwritten notations within book texts have been present, but not wholly unexpected due to the listings.

Picture book was in good shape and delivered safely and well protected from the elements.

Got books that are hard to find elsewhere

I am writing regarding the cancellation of my order #761373XX-1 for the book "Roster of the Loyalists in the Battle of Kings Mountain."

I find this cancellation unacceptable. The item was listed as available at the price for which I purchased it. Following a shipping delay, the order was cancelled, and I have noted that the same item has been relisted at a significantly higher price.

I request that you honor our original purchase agreement and fulfill the order at the price originally billed to my card. Please be advised that if this matter is not resolved, I intend to contact my financial institution, my credit card provider, and the Better Business Bureau to file a formal complaint.

I look forward to your prompt response and the shipment of my order.

Book was exactly as described and was packaged well.
