Dishonest, unhelpful, BEWARE
We’re on a family reunion holiday in Italy. We had 2 nights at this hotel in Brescia, June 16-17, 2026. When we arrived, the middle aged receptionist told us we had to wait for the rooms to be ready at 15h. We left our bags at reception and he said he would look after them while we went to the archaeological sites. All good. Room was minimal, tiny bathroom, plastic cups at breakfast.
Yesterday, when we checked out, we left our bags with him again because he had only given us the permit to drive into the city until midnight the night before. We could not get the car to the street where the hotel was located. We parked several 100 meters away, but had to leave some bags at reception and haul our bags to the car. Never an offer of help. When we got to our next destination, we both found that our backpacks had been tampered with. Toilet bag was in a different backpack, jewelry was gone. We are contacting the police and our insurance, of course. This is a very sketchy hotel. NEVER TRUST THE RECEPTION.
