Exceptional Service in Jacksonville Airport – Ask for Mirna! Service in Jacksonville…

I rented a car from the Alamo location in Jacksonville, FL, and the experience was seamless from start to finish. While the vehicle was clean and exactly what I needed, what truly stood out was the customer service.

A huge thank you to Mirna, our customer service associate. She was incredibly professional, kind, and efficient. Navigating travel can sometimes be stressful, but Mirna’s helpful attitude and attention to detail made the check-in process a breeze. It’s rare to receive such personalized and genuine care at a rental counter.

If you’re picking up a car in Jax, I highly recommend this location—and if you’re lucky enough to work with Mirna, you’ll be in great hands!

If only I could have spoken to the helpful lady first

I rang Alamo to inform them that my flight was delayed. I got speaking to Chris (Working somewhere in the UK) and to say he was unhelpful is an understatement!
The desk was going to be closed when we arrived and he said we would just have to go back to the airport the day after to pick up our rental ... ! That was the only solution he could think of !
I asked to speak to someone else and got speaking to a very helpful colleague of Chris's ...hopefully one day her manners and helpful nature will rub off him!!
Got sorted after ringing the 3rd party company we booked through ... and changed the booking to another company that opened later.

If I could give a negative 10 stars I would.

Rented a car at Dublin airport. Told to call the emergency number posted on the windshield if we had an accident, flat tire, or mechanical issue. We needed a tow for a flat tire so we called - or I should say tried to call. The number was inoperable and a recorded message told us to call 911. So we did. The police dispatcher provided us with a local tow company who towed us in and changed the tire. I should mention there was no spare tire. Alamo support? Absolutely NON EXISTENT.

Made our memorable trip worthless

We used this company on our last trip to Geneva and they charged us for load of small damages and maxed out the charges on our card for dents that I'm sure came afterwards. They still kept charging us 6 months afterwards. My two trips before had no issues with two different companies. Please save yourself and do not use them.
You can see how much this hurts that I'm still upset and feel the need to complain.

Alamo / Enterprise - Executive Lease Gmbh

Alamo / Enterprise / National operate a franchise in Austria through a company Executive Lease Gmbh. I have unfortunately been the subject of a scam which is operating from the division at Salzburg airport. Basically they are withholding deposits claiming damage to vehicles by customers who don't take out the additional insurance which has been caused by customers who have, thereby scamming innocent customers out of €1000's. Do not use this company I intend to take them to court in order that this scam is exposed.

Avoid Alamo Barcelona! Incompetent staff or a deliberate scam?

Stay away from Alamo at Barcelona Airport. I am an Italian citizen living in the UK with a UK driving license. The attendant refused to honor my booking, stubbornly claiming he needed "two documents from the same country." This is not a legal requirement, nor is it what their own Terms & Conditions state.

Alamo’s T&Cs actually allow for documents from different countries as long as a utility bill is provided. The attendant deliberately withheld this information and never asked for proof of address. I have all my bills on my phone and could have shown them instantly. It became clear that the staff likely used this "document mismatch" as a convenient excuse because they had overbooked and didn't actually have a 7-seater car available.

They left my family—including a toddler and a senior—stranded late at night while other nearby companies (like Thrifty) confirmed my documents were perfectly valid. This was a dishonest and unprofessional experience. Do not trust them with your holiday.

NEVER HIRE A CAR FROM THEM

I booked a car for my daughter's wedding 2-3 months ago for 03/04/2026 and the day before recieved a phone call from Alamo at Manchester Airport asking for Flight boarding card details. I did not have one and stated that I lived locally, the girl at the other end said they would not rent me the car because I was local resident. I had paid all the money up front and she stated that I needed to call the booking agent to get the collection branch address changed. I rang the booking agency and they would not let him change it. This means that they have decided to scam me of my moneyand did not even talk of a refund. I used to work as a delivery driver for them and I can see how this company has gone downhill so fast. Will NEVER be booking a car with them.

These reviews feel highly unjustified, its possible that things change in time, but the last experience was unparalleled. The price was good, the customer service great, the car selection excellent and overall process very seamless. I checked the reviews on this very site before booking. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. Absolutely fantastic experience.

absolutely terrible customer service

absolutely terrible customer service. They emergency services is equally horrendous. I would not recommend my WORST ENEMY to these guys. The car I rented got broken down on the highway. I called them and they told me I have to get my own tow truck off the highway because it was a private road. Ok fine. They then asked me where I would like to go. I told them to just take me home. They said they would call an uber but I would have to cover some of the cost. Mind you THEIR CAR broke down with ME on the road. Terrible guys overall

Actually, I would not give this company any stars.. We rented a car and paid for it in full. And when it was time to pick up, there was no cars available.. We had to wait at the airport for 2 hours until a vehicle came in., one we did not rent, it was dirty and only had 3/4 of a tank of gas.. We talked to 3 customer service representatives who promised to get back with us regarding some type of refund for our inconvenience and to note that the tank was not full.( we also took a picture of the gas gauge and notified the attendant of the problem and she said she would note it.. We finally had a customer service representative Call the night before we were going home and promised a discount and told us to only put gas in it up to the 3/4 full.
Then we get our bill and they charged us Because we did not fill the tank up full! I guess we were supposed to pay for the gas that the did not even have in it!! Alamo has no customer service. They promise things and they do not come through with them. And I don't even know how they are in business.!!! Let alone the prices they charge to rent a car are through the roof.!!!

Very good car and polite personnel

Very good car and polite personnel. I booked it online from their site and payed at the airport. Not in advance. They accepted either credit card or debit card. They reserved only 500€ and it is ok if your card has initials and not the full name as other car rental companies scam you. Legit car rental with good prices and cars.

Scam and Hidden charges and bad customer service

Alamo does not follow the contract agreement as stated. The car was impounded on an area with no signs of parking and Alamo mentioned just not to park on any streets where there are no signs. Our contract with Alamo stated that if we get a ticket we have to paid for the fine and a 10 percent fee total of 640, 000 CP but they said we had to pay 3,200,000 CP. The the person at the counter and the manager did not speak english and we had trouble communicating. They dont follow contracts and they try to charge you more than you have to paid. Do not use this car rental

Never use

I ordered a car with them as was let down by Enterprise only to find out after ordering car and paying for it. Then got a phone call call from so called manager at Newcastle Airport to say he will not rent me the car as I had argued with Ashington Enterprise. Yes I did because I wanted to pick up car few days earlier more business for them yes. So to date Enterprise got my money so has Alamo they both cancelled my booking and both want to charge me for cancellation. Stay well clear they scam you when ever possible. Since this we have found out that owners are Enterprise so had problems with them read that review. Short story they both same company who scam you. What we don’t like is they supply cars for NHS Fleet Services and don’t respect the NHS staff so double standards. Bet they go to hospital when not well we give them treatment and they won’t give us a car. What a nasty company please support NHS Not These put 👍if yes
