UPDATE: they are trying to make me pay more money for water and heating consumption even though i asked them before renting the place if I should pay more at some point. They said no and after some months they sent me more bills...
I have moved to one of their apartments a while ago and it was the worst experience of my life. So, before moving in, they showed me the whole apartment and the building, and I wanted to make sure I knew everything about that building. As a noise-sensitive person I explored the whole building and surrounding for any kind of noise sources like bars, restaurants, common rooms, etc. I read all the regulations about the noise and other stuff in the building, and then when I made sure that I am aware of everything I signed the contract. It was a short while after I moved in that I realised they have a (hidden) party place or selskablokaler in Danish. It was exactly beneath my apartment and they were renting out that place to everyone (people not living there) and there were parties every weekend. They were not normal parties, but more like a huge party with a lot of people and a couple of bass and sound systems. It was extensive loud and started from 20 pm until 2 am every Friday and Saturday. I obviously couldn’t relax and sleep, because the noise was unexplainable, as my dinning table and furniture was shaking because of the bass. The noise was still going on after 2 am as people were shouting and screaming outside of the place. Anyways, I informed the company and after a lot of waiting for their response and hearing non-sense, they agreed to do something and remove one of the bass systems, which didn’t work at all. So, I requested an emergency moving out, because of the terrible experience and the fact that they didn’t mention that place anywhere in the contract, house rules or apartment viewing (not even in registered part place websites). After a lot of negotiation, they just agreed to give my deposit back if the apartment was in a good condition which it was, because I lived there for 4 months. They showed me another apartment in the building for switch, but it wasn’t the same layout and I wasn’t sure if that one would be quiet or not. They refused to compensate anything for my horrible experience and the fact that I had to move out after just 4 months and it was very costly to do it in Denmark. At the end, I couldn’t even find out if that party place was legal or not.
Personally, I don't think that they are bad as the average of these reviews. I was a student at one of their dorms and whenever I had something to be fixed they responded really quickly and fixed everything for free.
Also, when I moved out the deposit they took from me was much lower than what I hear from other fellow students that have different renting companies.
