ALKO GNS caravan suspension parts.

ALKO GNS caravan suspension parts.
The welds broke on the swing arm of our Lotus caravan and it is a GNS chassis so ALKO can supply the parts. This happened on a remote road in the outback so a bit of bush mechanics got us back to Mareeba, 3000km from parts supply. Contacted and asked for bushes to be sent ASAP we were assure yes yes express but it wasn’t. 10 days later is the due date

I purchased a ALKO 3.22 battery lawn…

I purchased a ALKO 3.22 battery lawn mower, in May 2025, to be honest its totally useless.. the grass box keeps falling off and two batteries fully charged don't last long enough to mow my lawn 30' x 20'. Then they take an age to charge. The 8 battery lights light up when fully charged but one goes off more or less immediately, then they just go out one after another then the mower stops working when it gets down to 3 lights. Serves me right for buying this rubbish just short of £200..20

alko solo t22 premium (not) ride on mower

purchased the t22 v2 al-ko premium last year .
awful product .. the dealer TGC garden products were terrible, from the start so rubbish product rubbish dealer. The product is not fit for purpose.. cheap plastic every where, & very poor design , bonnet does not shut , the rideheight adjuster is awkward I went through 6 mulch plugs and then gave up, they shatter even with the smallest twig.. . poor mulching , and cutting performance ..sounds liek a box of spanners too its very loud! gearbox whines .. apparently all the above is normal , seat uncomfortable .. not a premium product by any standards.. my old second hand 1k mountfeld was miles better.. I sold after 1 year at a loss.. but glad to be rid of the horrible pastic toy . And yes i did contact the technical factory who refuse to aknowledge the issues.. I have a nice 30min you tube with all the issues i may post to show others just how poor this product is .. dont waste your money on this toy product you will be dissapointed from day one .

Abuse of the good German reputation!

I bought a new AL-KO grass trimmer 1year ago, but now it just won't start anymore!
This company doesn't deserve the good reputation that German machinery has, because what I read here is mostly one miserable experience after the other. This company obviously has a miserable customer service as well, and as a matter of fact, no customer service at all because they even won't answer you when you need them...
I don't know where they are located in Germany, but I bet this will be somewhere in former East Germany. During the Soviet days quality was not important, and the owner of the company still has this very same attitude. I'm sure he grew up like that, and he couldn't care less about your experience with his lousy machinery. He doesn't even answer to the bad reviews here because he doesn't know what to say. He knows damned well that he's selling garbage!
This is a hit and run company that abuses the good reputation of German quality!

For my family’s safety, I’ve decided to switch to a different system

Since the beginning 18 months ago, I’ve had issues with the iQ7 standard. However, but for the past few weeks, the unit has been running continuously for no reason. I contacted AL-KO, but got nowhere, apparently only, it’s up to the installer to sort it out!? 😡

The most surprising thing is that AL-KO claims my unit (iQ7 standard) with 1000 psi, still fitted by my caravan manufacturer, is perfectly capable of safely braking a 4.5-tonne, 2 axes, disk break caravan … 🧐
Perhaps it’s time the Australian government launched an investigation and reassessed certain manufacturers.

Don't bother trying to get help from Al-Ko
I have a failed ATC on my 2022 Bailey and cannot get anyone to contact me regarding finding a local agent to repair it. Very poor customer service and you can't speak to anyone in the tech department - email only. I've contacted their nearest agent and he won't touch it as he's not been trained.

A Year of Frustration and a Non-Functional AL-KO Robot Mower - Avoid at All Costs!

I am writing this review with extreme disappointment and frustration regarding an AL-KO robot mower I purchased over a year ago. From the moment I bought this supposedly time-saving device, it has been nothing but a source of headaches and wasted time and money.

Almost immediately after purchase, the mower developed significant issues (Bad contact and other errors) and simply refused to work. Contacting the seller proved futile, as they promptly directed me to the manufacturer's service center, washing their hands of the problem. This initiated a truly appalling service experience.

I was forced to transport the bulky machine to their service center myself, only to endure an unacceptable three-month wait for repairs. During this agonizing period, I was informed that the battery, control board, and main board all needed replacement – a clear indication of a fundamentally faulty product from the outset.

Finally, at the tail end of the mowing season, I managed to get a mere two months of use out of the supposedly "repaired" mower before putting it into winter storage. Imagine my dismay when, upon taking it out this spring, the mower was completely non-functional once again!

Contacting the service company again was like pulling teeth. Their procrastination and lack of urgency were infuriating. Eventually, after more unnecessary delays, they finally conceded that the product was indeed faulty and instructed me to seek a refund from the original seller.

This brings me to the next layer of incompetence. I am now facing a separate, undoubtedly lengthy process to even get my money back from the seller for a product that was clearly defective from the start.

To add insult to injury, the price of this AL-KO robot mower (and likely similar models) has increased by at least 25% since my initial purchase. This means that even if I do manage to get a full refund, I will not be able to purchase the same device or a comparable one without shelling out significantly more money. In fact, the interest I would have earned on that money sitting in the bank would likely be more than what I've gained from this entire disastrous experience.

Buying this AL-KO robot mower has been a total loss – a waste of money, time, and considerable frustration. The product was faulty, the after-sales service was abysmal, and the resolution process is proving to be another drawn-out ordeal.

I strongly advise anyone considering an AL-KO robot mower to think long and hard before making such a purchase. My experience demonstrates a clear lack of quality control and a shocking disregard for customer satisfaction. Avoid this brand and this seller if you value your time and money.

Built in Obsolescence as no common spares.

I have had a very good Alko lawn mower and needed to change the emergency stop cable. My dealer told me that the cables are no longer produced So my mower is obsolete. Don’t buy one unless you want to throw it away after about 10 years.

AVOID THIS COMPANY - dreadful customer service

AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO WASTE - AL‑KO KOBER LTD.
South Warwickshire Business Park, Kineton Road
CV47 0AL Southam, Warwickshire
United Kingdom

I was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for someone in their UK sales department (01926 818500, option 2) to answer. I was unable to speak to anyone! My call was then disconnected and the line went silent. This has happened twice, so I will now take my business elsewhere.

Has anyone else experienced this company's total contempt and lack of respect for customers?

Why do they not answer their phones or at least let customers know when they will be deal with next?

Shamefully poor customer service from their UK company and quite unnecessary in the 21st century as there are inexpensive AI phone answering programs available if a human cannot be found.

Or is it simply their company's culture to ignore customers who try to call them, in order to force them to place orders on line, or email with enquiries?

I’ve been sent an incomplete wheel lock…

I’ve been sent an incomplete wheel lock purchased brand new from them and I don’t even get replies, possibly the most appalling after sales / customer service I’ve ever experienced, three months later they can’t even be bothered to reply, I’d suggest you look elsewhere for products as if something goes wrong with your order nobody seems to care, infuriating!

Very poor design of grass collector

The grass collector on my new Al-Ko ride-on is very poorly designed, in that it gums up if there is the slightest moisture in the grass, necessitating removal of the very heavy storage bin and then digging out the blockage. I wish I had not replaced my Westwood, which was excellent. This is a definite downgrade, and not recommended.

AL-KO Mowers Are Useless!

We have a AL-KO T20 105.6 HD ride on mower and the buzzer that alerts you to when the grass box is full no longer works.
I have emailed the firm several times but they just do not reply, their customer service and help is none existent.
Having seen some other reviews about them together with my experience I wish I had never purchased the mower at all, they are useless!

Poor quality caravan brakes

Poor quality caravan brakes, poor warranty, lack of ownership.

Purchased some caravan brake shoes manufactured by Alko back in 2019 and fitted by an Alko approved workshop. After hardly any use ( <500 miles due to lockdowns) albeit around 20 month later and two service inspections the break pads fell apart and damaged my hubs. Alko accepted no liability and standby their very limited 12 month warranty. Properly manufactured break shows should be lasting thousands of miles, not fall to bits. Coincidentally I met someone who had exactly the same issue around the same time, with the same outcome.

Search the forums and you will see many people with pad issues in 2019, which i suspect is a production issue Alko don't want to face up to.I had to pay £500+ to fix it, further lining Alko's pockets. Hopefully their quality control has improved

Very poor quality

Continual problems which in a couple of years have seen repair bills of more than the purchase price and of course Al Ko will not honour their warranty even though I have had it serviced by their agent. Their excuse is I had first service in January 2022 rather than the preceding 25 September (first anniversary of purchase): I waited to end of 2021 mowing season at recommendation of agent and then got delayed over December. My advice is to steer clear of this low quality mower and sharp practice company.

It is a better investment to repair an old mower then to buy a new AL-Ko one

These guys resell Sanli products with incredibly poor quality, have ludicrous service and no end user support. You would be much better off avoiding AL-KO altogether. We have a brand new AL-KO mower with a bent crankshaft after the second run over the very same ground the old lawn mower cut for 10 years.
We hit tree roots innumerable times with the old one but with the new AL-KO the very first time we hit one we have a bent crankshaft.
