We were very unhappy with the Hi Fly…

We were very unhappy with the Hi Fly /Air seychelles flight from Mahe to Paris on 3d of April 2026 , flight HM1008 with airbus 330-300. The Etihad flight was changed unannounced to Hi Fly. We flew business class.

1. You need to fight for water. It was not enough water and it 100ml glass was offered only three times. Afterwards is up to you. I have got one bottle, but second time i have got a response that there is not enough water for business class passengers, so i got none. The flight duration is 10 Hours by the way...

2. Literally no Onboard entertainment included. Passengers could play with their mobile phones and connect to some wifi onboard, but for this you need a mobile phone , your own headphones and enough battery life with charger... The mobile screen is also very small. The Options for music and movies very limited!

3. Food was just Horrible! It was the worst food experience on a business class trip we have ever had.
There was no menu and the quality of food was extremely low. It was served in aluminum foil , with plastic fork and plastic knife. No tee, no coffee offered.

4. Dirty cabin. The buttons were wiped with alcohol wet towels and they were so dirty that only after three times the towels were not black anymore.

5. No Amenity Kit. For a 10 Hour flight no slippers, no toothbrush, no headphones, no ear plugs and so on..

Not recommended - totally not worth it for this amount of money. Just fly somwhere else....

Air Seychelles are thieves

Air Seychelles are thieves. They do not respond to emails, they don't pick up the phone or rather they answer and the immediately hang up when they realise it is an international number. So despite seeing the news about the closure of airspace in the Middle east and the knock on effect that has prevented onward travel to the Seychelles, air Seychelles think that not returning payments, not communicating at all and effectively stealing customer moneys somehow going to make people return to them. Their attitude effectively means fewer tourists will think of visiting. So for the sake of Air Seychelles stealing a couple of hundred dollars; the thousands of dollars that would have been spent on the islands will now not be seen. I suspect we are one of many, and I would urge the Seychelles government to look in Air Seychelles behavior and work to educate or fine them because their lack of basic business ethics and customer service is really having a detrimental impact on future tourism.

Pure scam

This is not a company, it is scam! They cancelled my flight, no links where can I apply for refund, just an email and phone. No answer on both! I booked 2-leg flight, they cancelled inbound flight but not he outbound. Sure I don't need the outbound! Having read similar experience, I will need to kiss my money good bye, refund takes from 5 to 24 months, if you get it at all! This scam should be closed!

Their staff treats African decent and…

Their staff treats Arabic, African decent and Indian decent as second class. And funnily the richest customers were non white who they were racism to. Bad for business? No sir or mam and literally the white sitting next gets lot of attention. Not to mention the fact that they are self racist which is weird. But why don’t they follow standard hospitality protocols. Bullshit they should be sued for such a behaviour what is this the 1600s. Is the owner doing any review of their staff or what. Bullshit airlines. The staff was on Abu dabhi to Seychelles flight on 30 dec. morning arrival. Hm 19.

Good service overall

Have booked multiple flights using Air Seychelles and have nothing shady to report. Just a standard airline company with pretty much standard prices as all others

Avoid at all costs

We had flights booked from Johannesburg to Seychelles, having travelled from London. We checked in online but the day before we were due to fly they cancelled the flight with no reason or solution, just a phone number. Called the number in the Seychelles and the person didn't have a clue what was going on. Had to abandon our holiday and have had nothing back from the company despite multiple attempts to get compensation. It transpires they only operate two aircraft despite being a national carrier. Avoid at all costs unless you are prepared for disappointment and to be substantially out of pocket.

Air Seychelles is a DISGARCE

Air Seychelles is a disgrace of an airline. Our flight was cancelled, and instead of taking responsibility, they left us going back and forth, wasting hours of our time and causing financial loss. Their so-called “customer service” is just a joke – every reply was empty words with no real action.

This airline has been playing with us customers as if we don’t matter. They ruined what should have been a holiday and gave us nothing but stress. If you are thinking of booking with Air Seychelles, don’t. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and have no respect for passengers.

Avoid this airline at all costs – once they have your money, they don’t care what happens to you. They should not even be allowed to operate.

Refuse raw 10 - terrible!!! Squashed

Their website didn’t work so went twice to the airport. We flew Buisness on the way in. Couldn’t get it on the way back… we were one of the 1st at the desk and despite us both being sooooooo tall we were booked in raw 10!!!! The only one with non -reclainable seats. Are you serious!!! The people in front of us opened their seats and we couldn’t drink/eat, we had food on our faces.

They had seats left at the back, but I had to demand the change for the overnight flight.

Just terrible!!!!! We are not kids you can put there!

I’m a travel agent. Will be leaving reviews in relevant places. Just awful end of our holiday

Disgraceful Service of Air Seychelles

I booked a flight Ex Cape Town to Seychelles and Air Seychelles changed the schedule to fly ex CPT to London, Tel Aviv then Seychelles taking 2 days to arrive. I didn't agree to this change. I only had 5 days in Seychelles so bought another ticket ex JHB - Seychelles. Air Seychelles refused to compensate for the 2nd flight. Air Seychelles are a con! I have been fighting this cause for 2 years now without a result. Disgraceful company to deal with.

They sent me a notification regarding our flights being cancelled. When trying to reach out via email, they don't reply, there is no way to have a live chat, and on top of everything, they hang up on you on the phone. Seems like the only way to get your full refund is to either do a chargeback or contact the consumer protection.

I expected more Air Seychelles

Alright, so we were on our way to travel to Prasline and right before getting on our plane the cabin crew said that some bags were going to be sent with a later plane that day. I wasn’t too concerned about it because they said some bags, not my families and friend’s bag. But when we were getting on the plane i saw from the corner of my eyes i saw ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE GETTING SENT BACK TO THE AIRPORT?! Like i saw all of the luggage. Mine, my mom’s and my friend’s luggage there. I asked cabin crew which plane will our luggage be sent with and they said “It will be ssent with a plane that has some empty place.” Now i didn’t know when there will be empty space on the plane. Today? Tomorrow? Next week? And it wouldn’t have been so bad if the luggages that was left in Victoria were only filled with non-important stuff, but it was ALL OF OUR CLOTHES! So what that means that for however long it takes for our bags to arrive, we are stuck on one pair of clothes. Thats bad. Really bad. When we arrived we didn’t pick our bags up because we didn’t have any but instead instantly went to the car that picked us up and took us to our hotel. On the way, our driver told us that for someone it took 2 weeks for their baggage to arrive which would’ve been awful because we were only staying for a week. Now at this point i had no idea if we will change our clothes or stay in one pair for a week. When we arrived at the hotel we got our rooms and didn’t know if we need to wait or its a bad idea because they will bring it next week so, what did we do? We waited of course what did you think? And after a long 3 hours waiting for the luggage, it magically arrived. I personally thought it will take around 3 days but i guess i was wrong. I expected more Air Seychelles. (2 stars because the seats were comfortable on the plane :3)

Small Airline Big Heart

We were travelling back to Johannesburg after a vacation in the Maldives when my husband suddenly lost consciousness after about 90 minutes in the air. The cabin crew were outstanding. They found a Dr. on the flight, brought the oxygen canisters , helped administer the oxygen, calmed the family down and were consistently caring and kind for 2 hours. When we landed in the Seychelles, an ambulance was on the runway and the truly excellent Sara Chang Pen Tive Petriousse, Guest Service Agent for Air Seychelles, took over. She accompanied us to the hospital and negotiated our admission and treatment there, staying with us for several hours until he was well enough to be discharged. She also booked us into a hotel, organized our passports to be stamped, sent our luggage to the hotel and ensured we were booked on the earliest flight home 3 days later. I do not believe that we could have had better service on any other airline and we are truly grateful for their excellent service.

Lost/stolen baggage

I would never ever recommend Air Seychelles to anyone.

I flew from to Mauritius with a large suitcase as I am travelling for a long time. My suitcase did not arrive in Mauritius, Air Seychelles was entirely unhelpful and unresponsive (they suggested I go back to Tel Aviv to look for my suitcase myself, although I don't live there and don't plan on returning there), and as far as I can tell have made no effort to find my suitcase.

They do not provide a form to claim compensation and seem to make it intentionally difficult to begin the claim process.

At this point it seems likely I will need to take them to court to recover the value of my lost (or stolen) luggage.

I understand that luggage is sometimes lost by airlines, however the handling of this by Air Seychelles is significantly worse than any other airline. I don't believe they make any effort at all to recover luggage that they lost, and have no regard at all for their passengers.

Avoid them if possible.

Air Seychelles is a dishonnest company

I see on social networks that other passengers have also been fleeced by Air Seychelles. As far as I'm concerned, they canceled my flights to Praslin and never refunded. They wasted my time asking for all possible info and then they wouldn't answer and it's just thieves. I even got an email from a manager who asked me for more information only to end up not answering so it is the policy of this airline to harm its customers. Flights canceled by the airline must be reimbursed. In the end, I repaid the flights and i went to the Seychelles and it was very disappointing: especially Praslin which was not worth the trip so no Air Seychelles flights to buy since you can stay on the main island. Or there are cheap boats between islands. Beware of beaches where there are insects with very painful and persistent bites. I was disappointed by the "Seychelles" myth which does not come close, in beauty, to French Polynesia where you don't get robbed. So AirSeychelles is to be avoided for all flights.

Bad experience more than a few times

Such a beautiful island but the customer service is really bad. I visited Seychelles twice in the last yr. Staff at the airport are very rude. One of the worst I've ever experienced. They all need to take a class on customer service skills. Too many workers, who don't smile. I came to Seychelles for my wedding. Staff didn't realize I could understand Creole but they were actually making fun of my family. Arriving and leaving is always one of the worst part of my trip to Seychelles.

Poor experience

Poor experience. Please avoid.

I just back from a trip to Mauritius where I go once a year as my partner as relatives back there.
He flue few day before me, and they have lost his suitcase. When he had it back, the family gifts were missing for a value of £200. Then I joined him few days later and discover the lack of professionalism of this airline. I booked a flight by the window, and when boarding I have been told that they changed my seat. For one in the allée. Again, no apologises. Seychelle airport is a mess. The screens are not updated, boardings start at different gates.... the staff is rude and cold and the planes are old.
When I went back same scenario, with an horrible loud bip in for 40 minutes, driving everyone mad and we have been told the only food option was fish and rice. Annoying for vegetarians but again the staff didn't care. Next time we will fly emirates again.
