Rude staff, cancelled flights and delays! Air France! Rudest lady at the boarding reception in Dulles. I asked for an exception for an extra weight because my friend and I are traveling to multiple co... See more

We have flown 3x, each time left wanting
We have flown 3x. Ask 3x no wifi, limited stuff in business. Customer service by phone is good, no other path delivers much. Considering the kind random they charge it should be better.
Awful experience with Air France.
Awful experience with Air France.
I booked tickets on their website, I paid for it but my booking disappeared from the website. It was 2 weeks ago. Customer service recognises the debit and tells me I will be refunded.
But I am still waiting.
2 claims on the website ( downloading the proof of payment), 4 calls. They tell me refund is coming....but nothing.
It is shame for such a Company.
It was my first booking with AF and could be the last if I don't receive immediately my refund.
Heloise Quillien ( ep Carchon)
I followed every instruction. Five months later, my claim was rejected.
I have now reached the point where I feel compelled to share my experience with Air France/KLM's baggage claims process.
My baggage was delayed after it was not loaded onto my flight from London City Airport to Amsterdam. I followed the exact process provided to me by Air France staff at the airport and submitted all required documentation.
My luggage was returned on 1 January, and I submitted my claim on 8 January.
After waiting FIVE MONTHS for a response, my claim was rejected on the basis that it was allegedly submitted outside a 7-day deadline.
The issue is that my claim was submitted within seven days of receiving my baggage. Furthermore, my understanding is that the 7-day deadline relates to damaged baggage rather than delayed baggage claims. Despite raising both of these points and providing the relevant dates, my concerns were simply dismissed.
Following my appeal, I waited a further three weeks for a response. Rather than addressing the facts I had raised, the response simply stated, "sorry, there is nothing we can do."
At no point has anyone properly explained how a claim submitted on 8 January falls outside a 7-day period from 1 January. Nor has anyone addressed the fact that I followed the exact guidance provided by Air France staff at the airport.
What is even more frustrating is the lack of any meaningful escalation route. Communication is restricted to email, there is no direct way to discuss the case with a decision-maker, and despite requesting a call, nobody has contacted me.
This is not about the value of the claim. The amount involved is relatively small. It is about the principle of a customer following the airline's instructions, complying with the process, waiting over five months for a response, and then having their claim rejected without any meaningful consideration of the facts.
I travel regularly and have used Air France and KLM multiple times each year. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in how customer issues are handled, and I will be reconsidering my future travel choices as a result.
I would be interested to hear whether other travellers have experienced similar issues with Air France or KLM baggage claims.

Air terrible
Air terrible. They lost my mother’s wheelchair and could not find it. She has not been able to leave the apartment because of pain and when we asked for the wheelchair to be refunded they cancelled our flights and said sorry nothing we can do. Never ever putting trust in Air France again. Disgraceful airline!!
The Ryan air of long haul.
We flew long haul, the meals were disgusting slop. The staff were very lazy, there was only drinks offered at meal times, if you want anything in between you had to get it yourself.
The plane itself was pretty shabby and in a poor state of repair.
Very disappointing customer service
Very disappointing customer service experience. I would recommend spending a little more and flying with another airline—it may save you a lot of frustration.
At the check-in counter at Milan Linate Airport on June 5, 2026, I was forced to check my very small duffel bag, even though it was my paid carry-on bag and was small enough to fit under the seat. It was not an extra bag; it was the carry-on allowance included with my ticket.
Unfortunately, I had fragile souvenirs (cups) inside, and they were broken after being checked. I was also instructed to carry my power banks separately in my hands on a 15 hour flight including connection in Paris.
What disappointed me most was the lack of understanding and flexibility from the staff member at the counter. The interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful.
Based on this experience, I would not choose Air France again.
literally toilet s**t
literally toilet s**t leaking throughout the flights into business class cabin. It was very apparent when boarding there was a unhygienic and unsanitary smell in the cabin, asked the cabin crew about this and was advised it was due to a engineering issue with a pipe when cleaning but would resolve itself once in the air... bullsh**t. reported again as something didn't seem right when boarded and sat down that the same said toilet, fluids and other sorts of liquids leaked out of the toilet and into the main cabin compartment and carpert... reported once again to the cabin crew who dismissed it as not being related or relevant... which if i showed you the pictures it would have been obvious. common sense prevailing you would've hoped, you would've again thought with the issue not resolving itself and persisting they would marked the toilet out of service... instead through the whole duration of a 12 hour flight it was still in use and leak even up until the point the gantry was connected and we disembarked! so many issues as also the toilet was near the food galley! again i'll let you imagine the issues with this being the case!

On hold to answer phone for 4 hours
They asked to use-messenger or WhatsApp hats app
There also very slow response
For upgrade they sent me to payment site which was not Air France but some shady site
When asked customer care (after 2 hours hold) told me they don’t have payment and I need to call my travel agent and supervisor is not available
I wish I can just cancel my air franc ticket
Delayed luggage
Delayed luggage. Unable to reunite luggage with customers. Took 11 days and that was thanks to American Airlines. Customer service non existent. Has so far failed to respond to a claim. It couldn't be any worse. Never again. AVOID.
Fine airline/Terrible Customer Service
Fine airline, beyond appauling customer service. Website remarkably unhelpful and on line without service for over 40 minutes before I disconnected.
One of the worst airlines..
One of the worst airlines... sorry to say it but since the ticket purchase till return... I had various issues..
Don't recommend it
Tiny baggage allowance and expensive
The standard baggage allowance is 4kg and the size of a hand bag. I had to pay €80 at the airport for the pleasure of putting my baggage in the hold, and then carry all my electronic equipment with me through the terminal. They couldn’t even provide a plastic bag for me to put them in. More expensive than budget airlines, less baggage and the service is worse. Why pay more?
on oblige les passagers economy section…
vol dublin paris
on oblige les passagers economy section 5 a mettre en soute un bagage souple de 7kg
perte temps à roissy Cdg = 1heures
Shame on Air France
Shame on Air France! Sad racism by staff at Heathrow T4. I was told that the flight was too full for me to take my small carry-on on board. When I got on board, many if not all Caucasian passengers had their carry-ons. AF1181 check in at T4. Non-caucasians: do not agree when Air France / Heathrow staff say you cannot have carry-ons! This is quite common in Europe, including "random" extra security checks. The tragic aspect of the racism was that the staff lying to me was Indian (no doubt following corporate instructions).
Bad Business class service
Bad Business class service, not worth the money , not even premium economy is worth the expense. They pick and chose who to be nice and attentive to and ignore the rest. Worst business class and premium economy ever.
I was only trying to change my flight…
I was only trying to change my flight when I accidentally canceled my reservation. As soon as I realized what happened, I contacted Air France customer service hoping someone could help correct an honest mistake.
What disappointed me most was not the mistake itself, but the customer service I received afterward. There was very little empathy, no real effort to look for a solution, and no sense that anyone genuinely cared about helping. I understand that policies exist, but customer service should be about more than simply saying “there’s nothing we can do.”
As a customer, I expected understanding, professionalism, and at least an attempt to assist. Instead, I felt completely dismissed. The lack of care and support turned a simple mistake into an extremely frustrating experience.
Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed with Air France and the level of customer service they provide.
I’m flying from Paris to LAX on Premuim…
I’m flying from Paris to LAX on Premuim and wanted to upgrade to business, it was available and I picked my seat but my payment wasn’t going through so I called customer service, I was on hold for over an hour and half. Finally they come on send me a link to pay for ticket, payment goes through an hour later I receive a call that I don’t have the upgrade and I won’t be refunded for 7 to 25 days..
If I could give a zero, I would.
If I could give a zero, I would. I tried to change my flight on the phone (they said they couldn’t do it), through chat (they said I needed to go to the airport) and at the airport, where no Air France employees actually worked (they were a contacting agency), and so they said they couldn’t do anything either. The number they gave me to call for customer service was disconnected.
Previous experience from Canada to…
Previous experience from Canada to London and how they cared us not really a professional. Neither my claim was not properly looked into, Air France and the airport needs so many improvements.
0 stars
Honestly, Air France is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I am a loyal delta flyer and I often go to France through Air France. Every time I fly with them I experience horrible service. If I could give 0 stars I would. They are racist and discriminate accordingly, giving some people good service and others bad treatment on no consistent basis.
