Air France cancelled my ticket 2 hours…
Air France cancelled my ticket 2 hours before departure. No explanation. No proper notification.
6 months later, they still refuse compensation.
And despite asking MORE THAN 10 TIMES, they still refuse to provide the mediator’s contact details — even though this is a LEGAL OBLIGATION under French and EU law.
Disgraceful customer service.
They owe me 900 euros for flight…
They owe me 900 euros for flight cancellation and additional expenses and there is no way to contact the customer service team.
They just leave notes on the case and the managers never call back when there is a escalations.
They are really one of the worst airlanes I have used.
Air France MCO ground crew is abhorrent
I am writing to complain about the treatment my husband and I received from employees at the airport on January 26, 2026 at MCO (Orlando) regarding flight AF 0097 from MCO to CDG.
We paid 120,000 miles and $503.80 for 2 business class seats.
We have submitted an online claim and have heard back that it was a safety issue and I am due nothing. We are in the queue on whatsapp and facebook messenger to chat with someone and have been for over 90 days so far. I have not been able to speak to an actual human being about this.
Upon our check in at the Air France counter, we were "held" for over 30 minutes by the gentleman who took our passports. He kept staring at the screen and would not tell us what the issue was. It was anxiety provoking and he held onto our passports leading us to believe that it was a passport issue. He ultimately called a supervisor and when she arrived, told us that one of our seats on the plane was broken and my husband and I would not be able to sit in the chosen seats which we booked 8 months before, 4E and 4G. (next to each other) We were told that it was up to the pilot if the seat could be repaired and usable in time for the flight and they would let us know at the gate what was to happen next.
We waited at the gate and a half hour before boarding we were called up to the counter and told that the seat was broken and we would be put in economy, as premium economy was full. We were not happy, then we were offered a flight the next day, which was not acceptable to us. So, we conceded, were given boarding passes and sat back down. Then 5 minutes later we were called up to the counter and offered 6e and 6g and were given new passes. We were thrilled and sat back down, thanking them profusely for putting our dream trip back on track. Then 5 minutes later we were told that the pilot needed a seat and he was given 6e and now my husband would be in 6g and I would be in 6a. We told them it was unacceptable, as I suffer from anxiety and severe anxiety while flying, which is why it was so important for us to sit together, which is why we booked our seats 8 months before. We told the attendant that it was a true special need, should be accomodated as such and I would have a panic attack if I could not sit by my husband. She said it is done, handed us our final boarding passes (4th in 3 hours) and asked us to sit down in an aggressive way, as if we were asking for something we weren't entitled to. Each time we were assigned seats we were told to return the previous passes, so I have no paper passes to submit.
Soon after, we were boarding and met a couple in line and we saw that they were sitting in our original seats, 4e and 4g. We were livid. Of course they would not move, when I asked them to and explained the situation. Then I sat in 6a and my husband in 6g on the other side of the plane. I saw that a man sat down in 6e and was clearly not a pilot and also would not switch with me.
Then, Daphne, the ground agent, boarded the plane and came over to me and said that she was putting notes in our file, as she witnessed us being mistreated and our original seats were given to standby passengers who paid cash or they were friends of the ground crew, either way we were screwed and since we paid with points, the attendants felt they could do that. She also said that I had a legitimate special need that was not accomodated. She said I needed to file a claim immediately and were each owed $450.00 and points for this terrible situation. She had seen me crying and understood my fear of flying and the anxiety I was feeling. This was even more upsetting, as being lied to about a broken seat was the beginning of this seat rollercoaster and being lied to about a pilot needing the seat next to my husband was the final straw. This was our first encounter with Air France and so disappointing on so many levels. There was a significant amount of turbulence and I had a full blown panic attack. The flight attendant talked me through it and did breathing exercises with me, as my husband being next to me would have alleviated the need for this. Needless to say, this was a terrible and insulting way to begin our dream trip to Italy. Is this the way Air France treats all points customers?
My full blown panic attack could have been easily avoided by keeping our seats together, as originally booked eight months before. Overall, a terrible first experience with Air France and a terrible way to begin our vacation.
Wish I could put a zero
Wish I could put a zero. Lost my baggage at Birmingham airport . Conflicting information from staff. Staff who is spoke with was so rude, dismissive and very unprofessional . Never again
The crews did not lock the windows on Boeing 787
SIN - SCL via CDG on Air France flight AF181 & AF406.
They served a decent Bordeaux in economy class. Flight AF181 was operated on Boeing 787-9. FYI, this aircraft type has dimmable windows instead of shutter.
The crews can actually dim the windows and lock it at its dimmest setting, but they did not! For that alone, they are worthy of 5 stars!
I slept (or tried to sleep) throughout flight AF406 from CDG to SCL, so nothing to say, really
One of the worst flying i ever had
I recently flew alone for the first time with my 6-month-old baby(flight going to Paris on the 10th of April at 18h15), and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.
I admit that I made a mistake by bringing too much hand luggage. As a first-time parent traveling alone with an infant, I underestimated how difficult that would be. However, what made the situation truly frustrating was the complete lack of support from the cabin crew. Both a female and a male flight attendant were rude, dismissive, and showed no willingness to help me at any point during the flight.
The worst moment was when we were getting off the plane. I was clearly struggling with my baby and my bags, and instead of offering assistance, they simply stood there and watched. The only comment I received was that I should have checked my luggage—which I already acknowledged as my mistake. Basic empathy and support would have made a huge difference in that moment.
To make matters worse, one of the flight attendants spoke negatively about us in French, assuming I wouldn’t understand. I understood everything. Speaking badly about a passenger—especially a mother traveling alone with a baby—is completely unprofessional. I already told her: you can say what you want about me, but not about my son.
Thankfully, a kind driver later helped me and tried to comfort me, which I truly appreciated. That level of kindness stood in stark contrast to the behavior of the cabin crew.
For my baby’s first flight, this was not the experience I had hoped for. It was stressful, disappointing, and left a very negative impression. Because of this, Air France is now associated with one of my worst travel experiences.
We will be flying with Air France again this summer, and I sincerely hope for a much better experience. However, based on this flight, I strongly believe that staff training—especially regarding empathy and support for parents traveling with infants—needs significant improvement.
PS: I would have preferred to give zero stars, but unfortunately, that is not an option. One star is already more than this experience deserves.
No way to book my flight with Miles
No way to book my flight with Miles, had to call support service (which answer fast, nice) but was not able to book it too. I got offered to pay using another devise (wtf?) or choose another flight that is not what I'm looking for (double wtf?). I've asked for escalation and was told AirFrance will do nothing (triple wtf?).
Poor experience to say the best. That saddening, this company used to be good in my experience, but now I see the limit where if you have an issue well.. Get stuck with your issue we don't mind. And I'm always nice and sweet when I call, only looking for solution in a really cooperative way. I always get good support from everywhere I need, but AirFrance no.
So yeah, now I have an useless online account, and support suggesting unrelated stuff instead of solving the issue.
For the price flight cost nowadays, it really feels cheap, even for customers with premium status.
Avoid this airline
Avoid this airline! Shameful customer care and refusal to pay for the delayed baggage expenses!
It's basically Ryan Air
It's basically Ryan Air. At Charles de Gaulle airport they weigh your carry-on luggage before letting you through to security. In my case I was 2kg over the 12kg limit (combined for all carryon items) and was forced to pay €70.
I've only ever had this experience on budget airlines like Ryan Air and Easy Jet, and never on other national European carriers like KLM, Lufthansa, SAS etc.
Very disappointing long-haul experience
We initially flew with Air France via Paris after our Emirates flight was cancelled. That first short experience set a high expectation, as the service seemed good.
Unfortunately, the long-haul flight from Paris to Bangkok (12.5 hours) was extremely disappointing. We were served just one meal in disposable packaging, only one drinks service throughout the entire flight, and then a basic bread offering about an hour before landing—which felt pointless at that stage.
What stood out most was the lack of engagement from cabin crew. They appeared to focus mainly on French passengers, with little to no interaction with others. There was no check-in during the flight—no “how is everything?” or any attempt at customer care. It left us feeling overlooked and uncomfortable.
Due to this experience, we cancelled our return flight (losing money in the process) and chose to fly back via Abu Dhabi in business class instead. We’ve since rebooked future travel elsewhere.
Had the service been better, we would have considered trying Air France business class. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won’t be flying with Air France again unless there is absolutely no alternative.
Customer "service"
I was meant to go on a trip to Cuba with Airfrance, however I decided not to go due to safety concerns. So I got some money back from my insurance company apart from the air tax, which Airfrance would have to reimburse. I wrote them, and only got a reply 2.5 months later. The customer services made up lies about me having been at the airport and trying to board past check-in time closure. I'm blown away by how terrible their customer service is, and by their corporate greed. How can a company so blatantly make up lies in order to support their own predetermined decision? Honestly shocked.
Lost our bags when we went to St Marten…
Lost our bags when we went to St Marten in February 2026, still haven’t paid out the compensation, they paid half and now won’t communicate with us, we complained via the U.K. based office, not interested and just kept saying use the web, we are flying blue members, but won’t use them anymore as the service is poor
Poor customer service
Poor customer service, I was traveling with 2 kids and the person at the counter was rude and unhelpful. When boarding we had the baby in the carrier, kid in the stroller multiple bags and his complaint was why we use the digital tickets instead of the printed tickets, that we are waisting time for boarding. Actually phone was more accessible and easier to use.
Never again
Never again! Extremely bad service and the food was the worst airplane food I have ever had. Not serving alkohol or snacks at all for a 10 hour flight. Was super late both ways so I missed my connecting flights, and had to rebook them myself. I was supposed to get €50 back for rebooking a ticket and the app said I would get an email with the details to a voucher. Never happened and I can’t reach them, the loops on the website when I try to get in contact with them are ridiculous. After almost 40 hours of traveling with lots of delays my luggage was lost.
Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. The customer service was extremely poor, the plane was dirty, and check-in was unnecessarily difficult. If I could give minus five stars, I would.

Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆
I want to warn all travelers: Air France is an airline you simply cannot rely on. My journey turned into a logistical nightmare due to the incompetence of the staff and their total indifference toward customers.
Upon arriving in Romania, I discovered that my luggage had been lost. Company representatives assured me that the suitcase had been located and would be delivered on the very next flight. I waited at the airport for 12 hours, but the luggage never arrived. Later, I was simply told it would arrive the following day on a different flight.
The most difficult part of this situation is that I am from Ukraine. Due to the ongoing war, there is no air connection to my country, and I physically could not wait several days in Romania as I had a pre-planned overland route home. When I asked, "How am I supposed to get my belongings?", the company representatives just shrugged their shoulders, stating they cannot ship to Ukraine.
How can anyone trust an airline that treats its passengers' property and time so carelessly? Because of their mistake, all my plans were ruined, and I was left without my essentials during an already difficult time. There is a complete lack of customer service and accountability.
If you value your peace of mind and your belongings, choose a different carrier. Air France will let you down at the most critical moment. I absolutely do not recommend this airline!
I felt so neglected and frustrated when…
I felt so neglected and frustrated when my flight was delayed for hours without any clear communication or even a simple offer of water. It's truly upsetting to save up for a trip only to feel like your comfort and time don't matter at all to the airline
Air France Customer Service,
Dear Air France Customer Service,
I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment with the complete lack of accountability and communication regarding my lost baggage.
I traveled on Flight AF096 from Paris to Orlando on April 6, 2026. Since that day, three pieces of my luggage have been missing, and as of today, April 9, I still have no meaningful information whatsoever about their location or status.
Here are the relevant details for your reference:
Flight: AF096 (Paris → Orlando, April 6, 2026)
What is most unacceptable is not just the loss of my luggage, but the complete absence of communication, updates, or urgency from your team. It is frankly alarming that a global airline such as Air France can mishandle baggage at this scale and then fail to provide even basic customer support afterward.
At this point, it feels as though once the flight landed, your responsibility toward your customer simply ended. I have been left without essential personal belongings for days, with no clarity, no timeline, and no proactive outreach from your side.
This situation reflects a serious breakdown in both operational handling and customer care. Losing luggage is one issue — ignoring the customer afterward is entirely another.
I expect the following immediately:
A clear update on the current location of all three bags
A concrete timeline for delivery
An explanation of what has caused this delay
Information on compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused
If this matter is not addressed urgently, I will have no choice but to escalate this complaint further.
I expect a prompt and serious response.
Sincerely,
Lost Luggage
Lost Luggage - we travelled MAN to St Maarten via Paris, Even though we stayed over night in Paris, our luggage did not make the on ward flight to St Marteen It seemed that several people on the flight were in the same boat.
Poor customer service from then on. Even though we reported it to the AF desk their communication was poor with claim procedures nor, how it would be resolved and also no advice on our entitlements. Luckily we had the internet or we wouldn't have known Regulations on line indicate you are allowed to spend up to £1000pp but for the 2 days we were without luggage we spent less than £100 pp. However. after 12 week wait this modest amount was rejected and we were awarded £87 as 'a goodwill gesture' ! No explanation as to what part of our claim was rejected or why despite 2 requests for more information. To be honest it is quite ridiculous that there is no automatic standard payment for this sort of thing as being without luggage for 2 days is far more disruptive & distressing, in my view than being later in arriving or being denied boarding !! Having you holiday basically curtailed by 2 days chasing up your luggage and having spend your time shopping instead of enjoying the beach - plus the thought of possibly not seeing some your favourite clothes ever again is well underestimate ! Unfortunately we had the misfortune to fly KLM last year (basically the same company as AF) and were entitled to compensation on that flight but ended up with only one of us receiving the statutory compensation but not the other. This is when you find out how frustrating AF/KLM are to deal with regarding issues - you can't email or telephone anyone you are stuck with their claims form which does not get responded to for weeks, gets you case closed by them without it be resolved and to which you are unable to get answers or responses without going through the form process again - only to be told the case was closed ! No proper redress at all. My husband refuses to fly with KLM or AF again as their customer services stink. Laughably I got an email today to say our bags (which we already retrieved)have turned up at St Maarten airport today (8th April) and are ready for collection ..... when we picked them up on 14th Jan !?! No wonder they are such a useless company !
AVOID at all costs !!!!
AVOID at all costs!
Due to a delay on our original flight we missed our connecting flight. Left stuck in Pairs airport for 14 hours. Was given €15 that was ment to be enough for food and drink for all that time. When I questioned this I was met with ‘OMG’. The AirFrance staff at the airport were sooooo rude and unhelpful the manger Manuel was just the same. Spoke over me, offered no apology or help. We incurred hundreds pounds worth of expense due to this delay and missed a day of our once in a life time trip in memory of my late brother. Called to chase the compensation and also the refund of expense and the staff on the phone line are just as rude. Had the phone put down on me twice after holding for over 20 mins each time. Was told that there was no way I could make a complaint about the mannerisms of the staff and the way they speak to paying customer. Some serious training need to be undertaken on how all staff speak to customers!!
I would suggest everyone thinks twice before booking with this company as if you have any problems they do not care at all !
