website doesnt work. terrible experience

They offered a flight from Newark,NJ to West Palm Beach, FL for $121.00 round trip. Then they emailed me asking to call them back to confirm the flight. When I called them back, they told me that the flight that I had chosen was no longer available for that prize. Then , they offered me another flight at a higher price. I asked them , why are you offering a flight at that price, knowing that the price and flight are no longer available. Tim( the individual, I spoke to) said, I can offer something around the price. I told him that they were scammers, because they hook and bait people to choose flights that no longer available so that they are forced to buy fares at a much higher prices. His response was no. This company's business practices are irresponsible and cunning.

I always thought that Airfarewatchdog was a legitimate way to find low cost airline tickets. I learned today that they are not.
They link to a bunch of affiliate sites and so far, all the ones I have dealt with do the same scam. It's the old bait and switch. You'll see a great flight and price, book it, get to the confirmation page that makes you think you've gotten real tickets through a real ticket company. But no.
Sometimes they'll send an email telling you it's pending sometimes they won't, but I've called and gotten the same spiel. They say you booked in basic economy, but the airline sold out of those and you can book in the main cabin for much much more money! Most of them sound like they're in India from their accent, but one guy was speaking Spanish, so, I'm not sure where they're located, but it's NOT the U.S.A. I have canceled every reservation and haven't been charged, so at least they don't steal my money, but they have my information, which worries me.
The companies I've dealt with from Airfarewatchdog are, travelo1, neattravels, flightfaredeals, and flightschannel.
I'm not doing any more. That was enough for me to confirm the bait switch scam they're doing.
User's recommendation: Stay away from Airfarewatchdog. I bet their positive reviews are fake.

Used the link for Cheap Flights from the airfare watchdog.com site. Should have known the price was too good to be true. After booking with all pertinent info like birth dates and credit card information, I got a call from NY from a man with a foreign accent stating that the $149 round trip offer was “expired” and the price was now $496 round trip! I turned down this offer but hate that my personal info was exposed to such a fraudulent and dishonest company! Never again!!

The person making the reservation kept entering incorrect information. Finally, after receiving the correct flight confirmation, we noticed he added a reservation for hotel stay, which we didn't ask for. On the way back, we wanted to extend our reservation a few days. The person took our information and said he would contact us in 1 to 2 hrs, but never did. We contacted him back and he said he was having difficulty contacting the airline. Funny how we were able to contact the airline 3 times that day. We tried going through the airline, but they also couldn't get in contact with the travel agency. In short, we couldn't extend our flight. I won't be using them again.

Unethical. Prices change after you "book your flight" even though they take all of your information they state the tickets weren't "purchased" in time and the price goes up. The old Bait and switch. Don't waste your time. This has happened 2x now. I thought the first time was a fluke. It was not. I have no idea how they have any good reviews.

Airfarewatchdog doesn’t have all the deals all the time, but I do find a ton of cheap airfare deals that come through via deal alerts. I follow them on social media and see a lot of great deals come though that way as well ($300 RT to Amsterdam?! Ok!) They aren’t a booking site, but their technology compares prices of airfare on booking sites to make it an important step in the research phase for my vacations.

Frequent this site many times for up to date travel deals. Have a few respectable sites to book from after the research from the blog site.

This site not even allow you to choose the round trip holiday more than 28 days useless site.

I booked a flight from Cranbrook to Vancouver in March 2017. I called back to change the flight time 2 hours after the initial booking. They said no problem they had not even processed my mastercard as they were so busy. When I booked the second flight, replacing the first booking due to timing of flight they said they would use the same confirmation number as the first flight. I find out later they DID put the first charge through and two days later they put the second flight through on my Mastercard. I called back several times, they admitted they screwed up, but they did nothing about it. They made me wait a month, telling me the refund department was working on it. After the month they said, sorry the flight was listed as a no show and they will not refund. DO NOT book with this company, they are also called the Help Desk. Scammers! I will post this on every site I can find to WARN the public of their business practices.
