Split rubber chelsea boots after wearing no more than a dozen times
eBay item number:373801997252
Good morning
I purchased a pair of Aigle Carville rubber pull on chelsea ankle boots in December 2021 and they have been worn no more than a dozen times and Im very dissapointed to report that they have split on the inner foot arch, letting in water.
I think such a short lifespan is not reasonable and not of servicable quality or fit for purpose
The boots have not been mistreated in any way and have been carefully cleaned and put away after use.
I also have a pr of Aigle wellingtons.they are about 6 yrs old have hade a lot more wear and remain robust and watertight.
I would ask you to seriously consider offering a refund goodwill gesture to enable me to put this sum towards a new pr of replacement Aigle boots.
I am happy to provide you with any more evidence required including purchase receipt.
I look forward to a prompt reply and a satisfactory resolution to this compaint.
This is my message to Aigle, can you advise myself and potential customers why you have such horrific reviews with one star rating, this surely a quality problem as many of the older purchases seem trouble free.
Please do the honourable thing Aigle and provide a refund and try to go some way to restore the consumers faith in your very damaged brand.
Until I get some resolution,my Message is BUYER BEWARE
Aigle have now replied with a no go on refund ,partial refund or replacement after making me jump through hoops with sending photos and proof of purchase.
A complete waste of time and effort.
I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM THIS BRAND,BUYER BEWARE

Brought Aigle wellies as a christmas…
Brought Aigle wellies as a christmas present for my partner in 2019 and wasn’t worn until after christmas and by the end of 2021 the had begun to crack and let water in. We also used the Aigle Swipol welly boot spray.
Would definitely recommend maybe trying another (cheaper) brand as these are not cheap. Although very comfortable wellies ,it no good if your getting wet feet

They promise to contact you, but they don't
I wish that you, as a reviewer, could also respond to a company's response on your initial review. Because at Aigle things go very wrong! Yes there is someone who provides the bad reviews with some sort of positive feedback.... But after that,... you really never hear anything. Despite forwarding the requested information.
That actually makes it even worse. Come on Aigle for such a brand to put you up for sale like that, I actually think it's outrageous, and very very bad.
-- Update -- I got a message that suddenly they are capable of refunding me and I have it within 15 days...(yes 15). Great hopefully problem solved.
Update 8Feb 8, yes they refunded the boots. So after about 20 e-mails and two 1 one star reviews they act.... what a horrible business model.

Not Fit For Purpose
I have a pair of Aigle Men's Wellies which i bought for £180 two years ago. I use them for occasional dog walks in winter and they look as good as new. However, the rubber has split where it meets the sole on the back of one of the boots which means that they can't be worn in the wet. In my opinion, for £180 they should last a lifetime and these are not fit for purpose.
I will not be buying from this company again.

Leaking Aigle parcours
Bought Aigle woman’s Parcours wellies £125 November 5 2022 and only worn them a handful of times on 2 occasions in the rain and both boots have leaked through seams ! I’ve had the neoprene for years and not had any issues ! Really disappointed! They have been returned for inspection to Turner and sons and they have returned to Aigle,

A sad tale of declining quality
For some 20 years, we have walked our collies over adjacent and often boggy, moorland. Initially, we bought Hunters but when they moved production to China and quality was questioned, we switched to Aigle. Previously, we have always managed to get 2 - 3 years out of the Aigles before they have cracked and leaked so by 2021, we had probably had around 6 pairs. The boots have always been stored in an unheated utility room which is well ventilated but has no direct sunlight to prevent heat and uv deterioration.
In December 2021, I bought a pair of Benyl XLs. Just before Christmas 2022, I noticed that they had split where the wellingtons flex just behind the toes. In addition, the heel of the right boot was coming away from the upper and leaking badly. I had also noticed that when I cleaned them down at the end of a walk, the bottom of my jeans were wet so I suspect that there were leaks around the ankles as well.
My wife bought a pair of Parcours 2 also in December 2021. The first day out, she noticed that both boots were leaking around the toes. They were returned and leaks were confirmed so a replacement pair was sent in January 2022. Less than 1 year later, both boots were cracked and leaking.
So, wellingtons which easily lasted over 2 years are now failing in less than 1. The issue appears to be both with the adhesive fixing the sole to the upper and the flexibility of the uppers. If you are considering Aigles, then ask yourself if you are prepared to replace them every year both in terms of sustainability (Aigle make a big point of this on their website) and cost. In addition, consider that you will be walking around in soggy boots every year whilst new ones arrive and subsequently, if they require replacement. Be aware, if you buy direct from Aigle and they are faulty, you will have to ship them back to France.
This is the first negative review that I have posted. It is primarily intended for potential buyers but hopefully, Aigle will read this and return to their pre-2021 quality. The claims on Aigle's website do not match reality. Personally, it is very sad that such comfortable boots are no longer durable.

Thank you for you generic reply. You appear to have missed the point. THREE PAIRS of wellingtons failed in terms of adhesive and flexibility in less than 1 year. Wellingtons that leak are useless. Throwing away wellingtons after less than 1 year is neither sustainable nor responsible. No, you will not be seeing me again at anytime in the future.

Terrible! £125 Boots and they both leak from getgo
£125 Boots and they both leak across all seams from the get go. Been a loyal Aigle client for years. Quality and comfort have previously been sublime. This pair, my third in seven years, bought by my husband for my main Xmas present are made of cheap flimsy rubber that flops down rubbing my shins, no support in the sole so feet tire easily. My friend bought a £20 pair of wellies from the garden centre that were made better than these. Aigle you have sold out just like Hunters. Shame on you …. NEVER AGAIN!

Don't bother with Aigle..they are loosing it
Aigle are loosing it! What a farce!
They have now decided to discriminate the UK market and believe the UK citizens are not good enough for what they believe is the privilege of buying their stock items and simply restrict our purchases to their boots.
I contacted them to draw their attention that we in the UK can no longer access any items on their website other than the boots. They confirmed this and re-iterated that we can only buy boots.
Twice I asked them the question as to why this decision and they only said: "Please be advised that this is a commercial decision. We only sale boots on the UK website."
Shame on you, Aigle. This is your loss, actually.
My £160 boots are a month out of their…
My £160 boots are a month out of their warranty- splits down the front of the boot. Their email response was tough!! I responded asking if that was all they would do and no answer. This was after I sent photos of the boots and receipt with all my details. . I had the original receipt. Other companies are much more generous and responsible with not producing throw away items at great expense. Not happy and customer services are frankly mean! The answer from them below shows they don’t read any review as they’ve already responded saying they won’t help!!!

Aigle boots no longer quality product
My Parcour 2 ISO boots began leaking on both feet. Aigle are refusing to do anything as they are four months past the 2 year warranty. My previous pair were great and only failed because of an accidental cut. Very disappointed in an expensive pair of boots. Quality has not met expectations. Won't be replacing them and would not recommend anyone to purchase them.

old and sweaty shoe insert found in one boot
I found two old and used shoe inserts in one of the boots which is absolutely disgusting!!! I couldn’t believe it when I found them yesterday. The boots must have been a return or something and Aigle obviously didn’t check or clean them before sending them to me. I am absolutely disgusted as even the sweaty footprint is visible on this shoe insert that doesn’t belong to me. Would never order again.

Won't alter or cancel an order, poor customer service
Order GE2984062217FR. I ordered the wrong size of boot on their website on a Saturday, having realised my mistake I searched for the ability to cancel my order and found this was not possible on the Aigle website. I then emailed customer services literally 20 minutes after having placed the order, I received a reply on the Monday stating I would have to go through the returns process when the boots arrive, they could not alter or cancel the order! I emailed them back to say this was not acceptable and they didn't bother to reply.
So, the boots arrived, and I duly started the returns process only to find the cheapest way of doing this was £15 using their courier DHL, which they will deduct from the refund amount.
I am appalled that such a big company does not first of all have a cancellation ability on an order that they have been told is wrong in good time, and does not care enough about it's customers to even reply to emails.
Furthermore to then charge £15 to return the order having been told it is wrong before it was even dispatched is utterly wrong - I will be £30 out of pocket for absolutely nothing since the original delivery was also £15!!
Come on Aigle - you can do better than this, I will never use your company again. For a high end boot maker your customer service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. My advice to prospective purchasers is to avoid this miserable and expensive lesson in how not to treat customers and buy another maker.

Another pair of Aigle boots splitting
Aigle wellington boots split between heel and upper. Complained to Aigle and they have done nothing as out of warranty by a few months. However, you expect a premium brand boot to last a bit longer than two years. UPDATE received a response from Aigle which was more useful than their original email but still not resolved. Trustpilot response link did not work so back to square one.

Never received the item I purchased! horrible!
I ordered from aigle.com 3 months ago and never recieved the item, I contacted Aigle's costumer service and they confirmed they sent the item with not the full address I had provided, they have shipped the item with an address that does not include the street name and number! I mean how could they just ship an item with only the city and country and postal code? It has been 3 months since I have not recieved the product nor a refund on it since reporting the issue! this is the worst I have ever had purchasing anything from a legitimate official website! absolutely horrible experience! This is scary of such a brand! unacceptable!

Disgusting
Tricks me into sharing the order id then my post got removed. Absolutely disgusting
My original post:
Applied a 15% off discount code at cart page and it disappeared at check out page. Shame on me for trusting the website and ending up paying £490 for a £420 order.
Called the customer service before the order is shipped. Their response is they could neither apply the code on their end nor cancel the order for me even though the order has NOT been shipped. I was told to just wait for the parcel to arrive, return at my own cost (for £10!!), and place another order with the discount code. That was not the advice I hoped to get. I certainly would not trust such a company to pay another £420 to them.
Of course I'm going to return the order when I eventually receive it. £10 is the price I have to pay to realise that Aigle doesn't care about customer satisfaction or the environment (shipping the same thing back and forth for 3 times!!). I'm not delighted but I hope those who are reading will not make the same mistake.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Aigle are not just unprofessionals, they are liars.
They reply to reviews asking clients to get in touch with them so to refund the £10 charges..
This is the reply received after the previous review cannot be accessible anymore.
"
We thank you for your message and for your interest in our Aigle online boutique.
You contact us regarding the return fee payable from the UK.
Further to your inquiry, we present our sincere apology for having to charge the £10 fee. Please be assured AIGLE does not benefit or profit from this charge, it meets the customs cost in place since BREXIT. Furthermore, it would be unfair to charge some customers and others. We regret that the fees cannot be waived.
We remain at your disposal and wish you a lovely day."
Furthermore, they charge £10 unlawfully after stating it is a free return. They had charged us less for sending the order. The returned order is less than what we had previously received (Minus 1 trouser).
Absolute scam and shambles, Aigle, you are.

Pathetic experience
Pathetic experience, I ordered a very expensive coat from them and it looks nothing like an expensive item. I have to return this and now they are charging me £10 for economic return and over £22 for express return. Is this a joke?? When i checked online before buying it said they offer free returns. Never buying from this pathetic brand again
Edit: i received a refund from aigle for the return cost which is really kind of them. However, i have not been able to return my parcel yet. It is a very pain taking process, none of the ways to returns the parcel is working, it is a fairly big package but collection of the parcel is not possible, i brought the package to the nearest DHL service point and the return lable did not work either. I have been contacting the customer service but no response from them. Please if someone from aigle reads this arrange a collection for me.

Sizing way out
I wish I had read the sizing reviews on here before purchasing some boots. I love the Darven Brogue and ordered them in my usual size 37 however the sizing is way out, they are enormous. I now have to pay £10 to send them back and although I would love to try them in a 36 but I am reluctant to risk getting them and having to pay to return again.
Following this review Aigle promptly contacted me to help...can’t ask for better customer service than that
