Rude Staff, Avoid Shipping with IAG
Have to agree with those commenting on the rude, abrasive staff. Traveling with pets is highly stressful for pets and owners, and you want competent people who care about what they're doing. I commented to the agent (which is now required at JFK) that I was worried about my cats in the heat because it was 85 degrees outside. He said that he'd recently had some cats shipped to JFK, and the IAG staff kept the carriers by the front desk, so "hopefully" the same people would be working. They weren't. It was over an hour after landing before I got over to the IAG warehouse, and my cats were still alone in the warehouse among all the other cargo, and I had to wait for a forklift operator to go get them. The woman at the front desk was rude and dismissive and acted as though I should know that I had to sit there and wait for her to process the paperwork (even though the cats had been cleared and paid for), along with her surly attitude. She ignored me when I asked why the cats hadn't been brought out of the warehouse. Her coworker came in and started laughing and cursing while making fun of another customer who was looking for her dog.
There should be a different procedure for live animals than for crates of whatever else. My animals would have been better off just being deposited next to the baggage claim like they did a couple of years ago. Instead, I had to wait for these rude minimum wage employees to grudgingly do their jobs.

DO NOT rely on them to ship your pet to the UK. For whatever reason they will only book pet tickets 13 days out, when the animal reception centre in London books out farther in advance. This results in them telling you 'oh we will be able to book your pet's ticket as long as you contact us 13 days out' and then telling you at the last minute that the animal reception centre is full and that it's 'not their fault'. Terrible company, would, give it 0 stars if I could.
IAGCargo Will Scam You For Thousands
I bought a puppy from a very reputable breeder, but he tried to ship the puppy to me with these people. The first thing they did was call and tell me the puppy had to have a $1500 climate controlled crate, but if I rented it, I would be refunded $1450 when I presented my receipt to the delivery person. So I sent the $1500. Later, they called again and said they had to have $1000 pet travel insurance. Do not go down this rabbit hole. It never ends.
Diabolical service
Diabolical service. You can't speak to anyone for help. You get put through to a call centre who have no knowledge but they just send emails out to the relevant department.
Also collecting cargo from IAG, LHR is ridiculous. I work in the freight industry and hauliers have queued for over 24 hours (yes over 24 hours) to collect cargo from IAG's warehouse

We shipped 2 Tons of beef from Montevideo to LHR to launch our new business in December 2020 ! It left -20 degrees with all very paper work, data recorders and ministry paperwork signed to confirm and arrived LHR +10!! The product was destroyed and we have send we filed the claim, and after calling and sending numerous emails to the customer service still haven’t heard nothing! 23000 Usd burnt plus freight charge and handling fees and no one answers the emails or phone! Disgusting disgusting! Will urge people to never use!!! We are a young business that can’t afford this loss!
Do Not Use to Handle Pets!
Do not use any IAG airline to transport your pets! IAG forces you to use local third party agents who are ill-informed, unprofessional, and simply unable to provide the service for which they offer. I attempted to make a booking for my pets from Greece to the UK, and the agent assigned by IAG was absolutely useless. It took weeks to get any sort of response, and after many weeks, I was told I needed to drop off my pets 6 hours before my flight, which would only cause unnecessary additional stress on the pets.
I ended up going with another airline, which was able to confirm availability and offer me a price within 1 hour. And better yet, I was able to drop off my pets 3 hours before my flight.
IAG doesn't really seem interested in handling pets. Save yourself the stress and go with someone else.

If I could give them zero stars, I could. We felt confident booking the sister company of British Airways, paid triple for a airline ticket, and an exorbitant amount of money to ship our pet, as with COvid there aren't a lot of options. The service was terrible at best--- rude, unprofessional, and they actually looked irritated that we came there. Shipping a pet is really stressful and the IAG website paints a false picture of how the people, and more importantly, the PETS are treated during the whole process. Incorrect (if any information) was given, outdated photo copy attachments were sent in email, and my favorite---- we weren't even offered a trolly for the crate, so her crate was dragged and kicked across the floor of the lobby-- not like the peaceful experience they try to sell you for +$1000. DO NOT USE THiS COMPANY. I have reached out to both IAG and BA and have heard nothing. They should not be allowed to offer this "service".
CRIMINALS
CRIMINALS. I used specific size crate to ship two dog's from Ireland to Orlando. When i tried to ship them back IAG said crates were to small on the drop off day. I had to rush and buy new crates at the cost of $550. Then they charged me $3880.00 instead of quoted $1800. *¥₩#,*× criminals. Use anyone else you can. BEWARE THEY WILL SCREW U.
This is just the worst company to ever…
This is just the worst company to ever use for shipping, bad customer service, and no any form of communication whatsoever. Stay away. We shipped some bags through this company for them to arrive the following day to Manchester. The bag never arrived, and everytime we went online to check on the update of the bags, it kept on been postponed. We tried to call the office at Heathrow airport in London to know where the bags were and when they will be delivered, but the staff just kept on lying to us that the bags will be delivered to us. Now, it's more than three months and they still did't have the courtesy to give us a call.
Please just stay away from them for your own sanity....
Untrusting misleading poor service liar firm
Ooh. Terrible customer services. We are told by your firm re Laura Parkin of 214 Shroffd Rd BR1 5NL re cases to ship to USA
that pickup is done between 8-1 on Saturdays as office is closed then late Friday evening 6-Sept 2019 told that it be a 0800-1700 hours but someone will defiantly call first thing Saturday morning of 07 Sept 2019 to confirm they coming and Time Frame.
No one called and despite many phone calls to office to JR we are told they cannot locate the driver. It is now 1630 hours.
Not a good company to deal with and very untrusting and devious liar firm
