I would t even give them one star

I would t even give them one star. I paid my bill in full. 15 days later I get a bill for 150 dollars. I dont turn on any lights and only have a laptop and tv running. Sometimes I play the Playstation but that still doesn't come to 150 a month. My father is a master electrician and rewired my apartment last year with a new meter and everything. My electricity bill is higher now then it's ever been. Im tired of them

AEP taking advantage of its customers

I was with AEP Energy and renewed a second time. Instead of honoring my renewal, they put me on a variable rate until my next meter read. I called and asked them to honor either the old rate or the new one; they refused. I contacted the PUC which agreed my request was reasonable, but AEP had the "letter-of-the-law on their side. STAY AWAY FROM AEP !!

AEP Sucks

Power outages are common with AEP. Before, they were as reliable as the Sun. I have more confidence Mexico, Cuba, and China electric grid. Who are there enginneers? Send them to North Korea to get trained.

Horrible monopoly corporation

Horrible monopoly corporation. They give big discounts to AI datacenters and offset it by charging regular people more. So you get to foot the bill to produce the AIs that will soon steal your job and rob you blind through fintech apps and management backends that help your landlord squeeze every penny out of your bank account. The US should fully nationalize AEP and invert the current rate algorithm to weigh big customers more while dramatically discounting, or totally abolishing the cost for the rest of us. You have nothing to lose but your chains, because AEP robbed you of everything else!

my bill went from approx $193 last…

my bill went from approx $193 last month to over $380
this month and used approx the same kwh. Most of the problem is the PUCO (who is getting kick backs from AEP) gives them any and all increases that they ask for while people struggle to pay these exorbitant amounts. it's a shame you have to sit in the dark, turn down your heat and wrap up in blankets to keep warm while they enjoy free electric every month and more than likely generous bonuses that we are actually giving them for lousy service and monthly rate increases.

I HAVE NEVER SEE A COMPANY WITH SUCH…

I HAVE NEVER SEE A COMPANY WITH SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD JUST TO BE PUT ON HOLD TO ANOTHER DEPT. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR APP ONE HOUR. THE WANT YOU TO REPORT A SAFTEY ISSUE IMMEDIATLEY. I GUESS THE POOR OLD CUSTOMER CAN SET AND WAIT WHILE THE EMERGENCY CAN GO UNATTENED. AND WE WONDER WHY USA IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN. THIS IS PITAFUL.

AEP customer service stinks

AEP customer service stinks! They added another person's balance onto my account several months ago. They put my auto pay on hold for that month to prevent the large amount being drawn from my checking account. I was told it only would be held for one month. NOW I am going into second month and it's still not corrected. It's a shame that we don't have much of a choice in our utility companies. Poor service and higher prices.

Switched me back to them without permission

Signed up with AEP the beginning of the year for my electric provider. A month after signing up, their rates went down significantly so I called to see if they could adjust it. The rep on the phone said they would put it in manually. A month later and never received anything so assumed they didn't follow through. At that point I switched to another provider that was even cheaper anyway. A month later AEP sends me an email saying thanks for signing up... I call and they confirmed it was the manual order very much delayed, so I asked them to cancel the enrollment since I wanted to stay with my new provider, they did that while I was on the phone and I even got an email saying it was cancelled... Now today I get my bill and it was switched back to them anyway... Awful way to run a company, I'll never use them again and I'm for sure switching now.
