Adagio Tea is a favorite
I love adagio teaches they are very good. I love the company. Customer service is very responsive when it comes to issues which I have had with delivery, I have been ordering from Adagio for years, and it is my one of my favorite tea companies!
Big fan of Adagio
Big fan of Adagio! Their tea selection is expansive, their prices are reasonable, they let you make custom blends (or buy custom blends other users have made), they often include free goodies, and their rewards program is great. The only feature I've had mixed success with is their sample trading cards. It's an awesome feature in theory, letting you claim a free random sample "card" every week & trade said samples with other users or redeem them when you check out. In practice, I've had many cards for 6+ months that can't be redeemed and just say "Available Soon", and when I reached out to customer service to ask if there was an ETA for them they seemed to not know how the feature worked at all and couldn't help. So if you use the cards be prepared to wait a long time for some of them, maybe forever LOL. But aside from that it's a great site with great service!

I've ordered from Adagio Teas several times over the years, and all of my experiences have been great. The tea always arrives fresh and is exactly as described on the website. Shipping times are reasonable, and my product has always arrived packed well and in good shape. Their teas are packaged well and fairly priced. I will definitely order from this company again!

The teas were fresh and delicious and the shipping was fast. I would give five stars but the tea was just thrown in a bigger box just willy billy.
Never received my order - no refund either.
I placed an order almost 2 months ago, it some how had the wrong zip code on it, and I never received it and didn't get a refund. I've emailed their customer service multiple times and I keep getting the run-around. The last email I got from them, they told me "You should have put the correct zip code on it in the first place". Wow. I couldn't believe they would talk to a long-time customer like that. I've pretty much given up trying to get a refund. They've lost a customer. I'm done with them.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Adagio Teas for over 7 years, and I can honestly say they consistently deliver outstanding quality.
I regularly order a wide variety of teas, as well as tea-drinking accessories, and I’ve always been extremely satisfied. The quality is authentic and genuine — these are real teas made with actual plant ingredients, whole leaves, herbs, and botanicals, not artificial powders or fake flavorings.

Dismissive customer service ruins a great tea shop
I came here to write a review warning people about the awful and dismissive customer service but I can see I'm far from the only one who had this experience.
I thought I'd found my absolute favourite tea shop since I adore their teas so much. They truly are wonderful. But I don't know if I'll order from them again after the awful experience with their customer service - literally left a bad taste in my mouth and ruined the shop for me.
So the story:
I ordered some halloween teas (and more) on October 15th (a little late for intl. shipping, sure! I was prepared for my tea to arrive some time in November and I'd have been fine with that honestly). On Nov 13th still no word though and the package seemed not traceable even still by the carrier.
So I sent an inquiry and got the response that their new international carrier apparently wasn't accepting my address but they'd rush an IT ticket to solve the problem asap! This I really appreciated but still wonder why the package just... sat for a month and no one did anything about it?
On Dec 1st I saw that the package sat in a sorting centre in a country in between origin and destination and had been there for almost 2 weeks without any updates. So I asked about that and just got a dismissive "It's on its way, here's the tracking number". Like... I know about the tracking number, that's how I know where it is right now? Just want to know if the package got stuck again?
On Dec 12th the package was finally in my hands, TWO MONTHS after I ordered (of course at this point it had gotten delayed by Christmas traffic - which wouldn't have been the case, had it shipped sooner).
The tea was absolutely delicious... But again, when I very politely inquired if they were willing to compensate me for the ridiculous wait that really took from the halloween experience (again, I did expect to maybe receive the tea in November, but Dec 12... come on!) I got a very dismissive and condescending message saying "The best advice we can give is to order ahead of the holidays. Please visit us again soon!" Like they did not give a single flip. And I was NOT looking for advice?? Maybe just some actual recognition that a loyal customer who adores your teas is asking if you're willing to admit some fault here? Make nice nice? A little discount or shop credit?
No. Just a condescending, dismissive "f u" wrapped in fake politeness and followed by a 'Please visit again soon'? Umm no, I don't think I will do that anytime soon.
AI response? Maybe.
Whatever the case, the customer service needs an overhaul, badly, because they treat customers like idiots (and I see from other reviews I'm far from alone here).
I have a hard time picturing myself placing an order there again like an idiot after having been talked to that way.
Not that they have a care in the world.

I have discovered the best tea company! The name is Adagio and they deliver the absolute best tea I've ever tasted. They have fabulous blends, excellent prices and my favorite that I can not live without- 40 WINKS. I need this tea to sleep it is that good.

Be wary of Adagio when ordered delivery
I have been a customer of Adagio for 12 years, and the latest customer service interaction with them has made this year my last.
I had ordered an Advent Calendar (as a gift) shipped, and Adagio now uses UniUni as their shipping company. As I was walking home, I got to witness the UniUni delivery person stomp on package five or so times, perhaps in an attempt to flatten it to get it through the gate into my apartment. Given the state of the box, I refused delivery, and immediately notified Adagio, including a photo of the damaged box I took.
Adagio's customer service did not read my original email, and responded "Thank you for your honest feedback. Glad to hear you received your package, sorry to hear that the delivery was less than ideal." They did agree to flag this to their carrier representative.
When I informed them that I refused the package, they told me that despite the photo, despite the description of the damage, and the nature of the order (an Advent Calendar, which are meant to look nice and decorative) they would not take action until I accept the package and photograph the damage in more detail.
Ultimately I get that one negative customer experience doesn't matter, but hopefully this is useful as a warning for anyone else who is ordering delivery and wondering how Adagio would react if their delivery doesn't go smoothly.

I love the wide selections of teas and accessories to take your tea experience to another level.The "notify me "option if they do not have an item in stock they can let you know as soon as they get it back in. The check out was easy to do.
They lost a old customer thanks to the AI
I used to buy from their website occasionally.
Today, I wanted to place an order but noticed they still had my old address.
I tried to update it, but the form has a character limit, preventing me from entering the correct address (they should have hired a very cheap developer for such a mistake that!).
I can't even workaround it with abbreviations.
When I contacted support, I was greeted by an unhelpful AI that couldn't assist.
I asked to speak with a human, but my request was denied.
I searched for contact options and only found useless FAQS or AI-generated responses. I'll delete my account because I refuse to support a company that shows so little regard for its customers.
However, there's no option to delete the account.
The FAQ gives a lame excuse about needing to keep track of orders, but that's not how the law works.
I can remove all editable details, but my account still exists (whatever that means).
I can't delete it, and as a result, the company has lost a customer who had been with them since at least 2012.

Ordering was easy, they sent me some free samples, and the teas I ordered were fabulous. So were the samples. I highly recommend Adagio - excellent products. Also, I need decaf tea, and every one of the ones I got was delicious.

I think the teas are just a hit and miss on the flavors. The Honeybush Banana Nut was quite flavorful, the Peach Serenity was weak, watery, and no tea. Im glad I only bought some samples to try. I wasn't really impressed enough to pursue further.

Didn't receive order after speaking with customer service immediately when I realized that order was being shipped to wrong address. Customer service could not stop order and it was in pending status. I was told I would have to wait for order to be returned to them before they could resend my order. The order was not returned and I was out of $28.00! Very Bad Customer Service! The response was a lie! The order was pending , I contacted customer service immediately! They should have CANCELLED THE ORDER! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER OF 12 YEARS!
