They took control of my computer and…

They took control of my computer and solved my issue without me having to do anything other than opening the link they sent me. Best support I have ever had with any program. You are the BEST!!!

This company is no longer useful. Not to me anyway.

I was Acronis customer for several years and initially I was happy. Software did what it should and if I needed technical help I could always reach customer service on the phone. Not on the first try, they have always tried to push help to online manuals, where instructions lacked clarity, but there was an active phone number and they responded, connected to my machine and did what needed to be done to address my issue. But lately things changed. My computer died. The reboot disk Acronis created for me did not work. I could not reach them on the phone, recorded message said individual clients' help is only via chat and online manuals. I tried the chat, it was useless AI. It opened the case for me though and two days later I got an email. But in the meantime I took my computer to a local shop. They were not able to reboot my system. We managed to save some of my files, but not the system. OK. I had an online backup with Acronis, I thought I can get those. But once again it took several days of back and forth emails, which were quite useless. Then I finally got a secret phone number and called. Only to learn from the technician, that my online backup does not exist.The only backup active was from my laptop, not the dead desktop computer. He could not tell me why it got deleted. I am beyond frustrated because among the lost files there were years of my tax returns.
They say in response they are nor responsible for backups that were deleted. But they are the ones who deleted my cloud backup. My computer died and I had no access to that backup, so I could not have deleted it even if I tried. They deleted it even though my license was intact and my second computer, was still active on their platform.

We understand how critical backups are, and we want to clarify expectations: Acronis Support can assist with troubleshooting, recovery guidance, and verification of backup status, but it is not always possible to guarantee recovery in cases where backups are missing, deleted, or were not successfully created for a specific device. Backup availability depends on the protection status, configuration, and retention settings of each machine.

Regarding support channels, assistance for individual (home) customers is currently provided via chat and case-based support, which allows us to properly track, investigate, and document complex recovery scenarios.

Acronis a great solution with highly knowledgeable support staff

Not only is Acronis a great solution, but they have the support people in place to resolve very challenging technical issues. I called their phone and was AMAZED when a human actually answered within a short time. I had to call because I was challenged with the software not completing a boot up on an SSD drive replacement the first level support worked through a number of solutions. The issue was then escalated to engineering support and I received a meetup notice a day later. The 2nd level support rep was superb. Narrowed the problem down and had to run it through a number of disk and repair solutions which took a bit over 2 hours. But it was resolved and my unit is now operating with an expanded C drive to handle all the programs. Thank you very much for the great support!

Multiple issues resolved

Over the course of multiple issues, I have received excellent support by exchanging emails, with phone calls, and by remote log-in to my PC by Acronis. Masood Ahmed proved to be an extremely knowledgeable support engineer and a great communicator.

They responded to my request within 6 hours

They responded to my request within 6 hours. I was sent a link to arrange a support call for an issue with the software. I booked a slot via the link. I got a call dead on time. It took only 10 minutes for the issue to be resolved.

Bait and switch tactics for Cloning

Bait and switch tactics for Cloning. They force data collection while pretending you can clone a drive, but the free trial doesn't include this option anymore.

Definitively misleading. I will never use one of their products again and you shouldn't either.

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration, but this appears to be a misunderstanding.

The trial version has never included disk cloning. It has always been limited to backup and recovery features. Cloning is a paid feature available only in the full product.

Additionally, you are using an OEM version, which is provided and supported by the hardware manufacturer.

For cloning-related features or limitations, support must be handled by the OEM provider, or alternatively by purchasing the full retail version.

There is no bait‑and‑switch here — the product is not free, and features depend on the edition being used, which is clearly documented.

I was so pleased to be able to quickly reach customer support by phone when I needed it. Their representative was attentive, patient, and informative as she helped me with my problem and with the use of their product. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Great product and excellent support!

I purchased Acronis True Image during the trial period and find the product an excellent choice. Contacted customer support for one issue and received an immediate solution. I would highly recommend this sofware!

Acronis has always been there for me…

Acronis has always been there for me since 2010. I don't lose data. Once set up, backups happen without my having to worry about reliability. When I've needed support (once) I filled out the support form and received a call, less than 48 hours later, from a very knowledgeable support tech that walked me through my needed solution quickly. They are listed as one of the top 5 backup solutions by many tech magazines with good reason.

Useful back-up facility

This is a useful package which provides a full back-up within a reasonable time. The software is easy to install and to use. So far, I have only recovered a test file and it worked with no problems. I've not had to recover a full set of system and data files and so I'm not sure how easy that would be. One of the issues for me is that I'm not clear how I could recover all my data and software on to a new PC as the Acronis software is only installed on my existing PC. There are a number of back-up options available but Acronis is definitely worth a look.

Acronis restored my crashed computer like a "true Image"!

Acronis has restored my computer after a crash in a thorough / System Image Restoration manner. So much better than Windows' native tools. And Mahalakshmi is a great customer service agent with Acronis who has helped me more than once with her superior troubleshooting skills and fine bedside manner.

Couldn't do a Backup

Couldn't do a Backup, submitted a Ticket and had info in about an hour. Then someone called to help, but our power was out so later I used the Links that had been sent and it worked. Then I got a follow-up call to make sure all was well. Excellent Service!

I have been using TruImage since 2016

I have been using TruImage since about 2016. I was trying to add a perpetual license to my new computer and having difficulties. I files a support ticket and was up and running in about 2 hours. GREAT SUPPORT.
