Brian and Rob, on the basic electrical course, have been brilliant, so knowledgeable, as Richard Feynman said, if you can’t explain something in simple terms, you don’t really understand the subject.... See more

I did my training and assessments over the course of 6-8 months and access made it simple and straightforward
Simon Rose was a Great assessor. Friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. The whole process was fair and well organised, and the feedback was helpful. Overall, a very positive experience.

Cardiff training and assessment
I trained with Rich Pierce in Cardiff recently and gained a substantial amount of knowledge throughout the course. I had already passed my theory examinations, however I developed a significantly deeper understanding of all aspects of inspection and testing under Rich’s guidance. I felt fully prepared for my assessment, which I subsequently passed with confidence halfway through my second day.
During the assessment, Leighton also provided invaluable support. He guided me through each stage and ensured that all tasks and requirements were clearly explained before commencement.
The only reason I have not awarded five stars relates to an issue with head office. I missed the first two days of training after confirming with them that this would be acceptable and that I would be able to catch up. Unfortunately, this advice was incorrect, and the missed days could not be re‑taken, which had the potential to hinder my progress. Head office should not have advised that this arrangement was suitable.

I’d like to give a special mention to Richard, whose training has been excellent throughout my first 2 weeks training. His knowledge, experience and ability to explain both the theory and practical aspects of electrical work have really helped me build my confidence. He takes the time to answer questions properly and creates a positive learning environment where everyone feels comfortable asking for help. The quality of teaching from Richard and the other trainers has been first class.
My personal experience with the customer service team hasn’t always been to the same high standard. At times, communication has been inconsistent and I felt the support outside of the classroom could have been much better.
That said, the quality of the training itself has been outstanding, and it’s the trainers who have made the biggest difference to my learning. I’d like to thank Richard and the teaching team for their support and for helping me progress towards completing my EAL Level 3 qualification

Niamh from Access Training has been very supportive in helping me provide the relevant information on what is necessary for me to becoming an electrician.
Niamh also helped me touch up on my CV in order to make it more appealing for employers when I take my first steps into working in the field.
Thanks,

Done my electrical practical training at Edinburgh with Danny about a month ago. Apart from the room being super hot thanks to the heatwave the whole experience was really good. Learned a lot, tutor was very supportive but also strict when needed. Trust the process, trust the tutors and you'll get there with ease. Two weeks were appropriate time to get us well prepared for the practical assessment.

Members of staff are always there when I've needed a little guidance.
I've gone through a couple of family bereavements over the last couple of years, and I know through previous experience that everyone at Access Training I've had the pleasure in crossing paths has always put my needs at the heart of their decisions with regards me completing and undertaking new courses. I couldn't be happier.

Niamh was more than helpful going above and beyond to assist with any problems I have. Not only helping with any course related problems but also assisting in helping getting into the industry.

Where do I start ? Firstly I was assured by the sales team my gas certificate would be achieved in 1 year or less ,more likely if I applied myself easily within 9 months ,this is impossible! Reason being having to wait months for a placing on next phase of course ,after passing exams in March after taking 5 weeks off work to study webinars I then had to wait till mid July to start practical training ,I was given a bye for foundation course due to me already being a plumbing and heating engineer for 40 years ,my tutor immediately said I should not have been brought in for that and the next day I was asked to start weeks 3 and 4 ,I asked several times to head office to update my dashboard to keep up with my progress ,I've emailed so many times without response ,when I have had a response it seems nobody knows what's going on so a massive lack of communication between themselves and more importantly the paying students ,I've entered the chat portal asking for some one to contact me but again nothing ,I've called the telephone number and asked for call back as they were experiencing a high volume of calls but again nothing ,no communication at all ,well they had had their money haven't they ,I've taken off 2 months of work and studied very hard to gain this qualification, paid thousands of pounds and they can't even adjust my dash board to enable me to book next stage ,also I paid 1000 pounds extra to complete my portfolio in house at the centre but now are saying they will only find me engineer to go out with ,I don't trust this will happen to my satisfaction after hearing such negative comments from other students ,I am discusted by the way they treat their students and would think very hard before ever using them again ,however on the plus side my tutor of week 3 Adam was superb and week 4 Stuart equally superb ,this is the reason for giving q star ,I hate to give negative feed back but really feel no other choice ,I definitely would not recommend access to anybody else
