Started off good soon went down hill

Applied for a driver's job attended a group interview told a bit about the job filled in some forms before you know it your in forms done dbs checked ,medical and driving assessment booked before you know it your ready to start work you get given a vehicle some were right dogs dents all over got a newer vehicle later on
Company fuel card and a school run to do jobs a good un
Starts off ok most kids are good always one that's swears and fighting with others on the vehicle dont go to school somedays and
Missing after school = no show no reason why no contact
Some parents cant be asked to let you know there child is not travelling or use the parent app so your sat about waiting to see if they need picking up give them 5 minutes if no show drive off
Some kids need a chaperone
As there behaviour is so bad
Try driving with some of these kicking off its not good
Your expected to work on every day of school term
Try asking for a day off for an appointment
And getting the day off
You have to beg for it
It's like your at school too
If your unlucky to get your school run terminated or given to another taxi undercut =
company that can do it cheaper
You just get dropped from your school run with no work
Even when you have got students to school on time and had no time off sick = worked everyday
= no pay unless you sign on and be available am and PM for £20 a day what a joke they probably will give you a job miles away and they expect you to just do it 90 mins drive away when you say NO
They get the dog with you
They dont care when they just say sorry no work for you at the moment
They Think we are ok not getting any pay and they think that's ok
£100+ they get paid to take a child to school everyday
But cant afford to pay you when its not your fault contract had been lost
Found out they are now getting drivers on a restricted cambridge council taxi licence from September 2026 a cheaper deal where there head office is in Cambridgeshire and with the cambridge council
Bet they will loose alot of contracts come September 2026
Cant see other councils in these areas giving them work if taxi not licensed in that borough
You even got to use your own phone pay for the data
And loose 30% battery power every trip
Should have a company phone not your own

Good luck if your a driver for 24/7

If I could give a 0 i would

If I could give a 0 i would! Transport are a joke, drivers texting while driving putting children at risk, never communicate and when concerns are raised to head office, you're met with a nonchalant attitude. I've raised a case with the council as they shouldn't be transporting children at ALL!!!!!!!

Poor management and it is all about saving money.

Last year after working for 24x7 Ltd in North Yorkshire I went through the formal grievance process. This resulted in a court case through the Employment Tribunal system.

24x7 Ltd had deducted 30 minutes per day (2 and a half hours per week) of time from my daily journey time transporting Special Education Needs children in North Yorkshire for a year and a half, taking my pay rate below minimum wage for the hours I actually worked.

The management style was dismissive and at times rude. When offered the opportunity to engage Head Office ignored my grievance. When Acas contacted them to attempt early conciliation, HR ignored them, hence why we ended up in court.

Building up to the court case I sent 24x7 Ltd copies of all of my evidence as instructed by the Employment Tribunal staff. I sent this ‘signed for’ and have a photograph of the package being delivered to Head Office and a signature from a member of staff there.

24x7’s solicitors claimed that I had never sent my evidence, when I challenged this with my proof of receipt, the company came back and said that it had been ‘lost’.

This company has no respect for its employees. It treats their drivers and passenger assistants (who are on the front line dealing with some very challenging behaviour from some of their passengers) with disregard and will do anything to save money.

I won my court case, and 24x7 Ltd were ordered by the Judge to give me the backpay I was entitled to.

My experience of 24x7 Ltd was dire. The attitude of the staff in Head Office was shocking and they care little about their customers and employees, it is all about money. My advice is do not be taken in by their slick website and claims like I was, and think very carefully before you decide to work for this company.

Transporting children and adults with special education needs is a complex and responsible role. It can be very difficult, with some drivers and passenger assistants experiencing physical abuse from their passengers who have very challenging behavioural problems. All those working in this role deserve respect and support.

With the right support and training transporting SEN children can be very rewarding, however it is not for everyone and not the easy job 24x7 Ltd paint it to be.

Sorry can't find 27 x 7 Cornwall reviews so as same company will put on here, despite emails concerning a drivers parking badly, over a pavement putting a disabled person in danger the practice is still on going, do not use 24 x 7 to transport your children to school!!!

If I could give zero I would

If I could give zero I would. This company have been nothing but trouble from the start. And have now terminated my son’s contract with immediate effect without contacting me. Luckily I had built a good relationship with the Driver and PA, who let me know as soon as they could, knowing the struggle we would have to find an alternative transport. I am gutted to lose my sons driver and PA, wonderful people who are amazing at their job. A shame the same can’t be said about the admin staff who have been uncaring, unknowlegable and not at all sympathetic to children with needs. Thank goodness I have secured another company for after the school break. But not without the stress this company has caused. Do better!

Sorry you have had a bad experience but I do not believe this is our company, firstly we would not terminate any contract, this would be Lincolnshire County Council whose contracts we cover, secondly had you contacted our office we would have been sympathetic & helpful, if you would like to supply further details I would be happy to look into this for you to double check but it does sound like you are referring to another company with a similar name to ours

I worked for this company for 2 months…

I worked for this company for 2 months as a passenger assistant they sent me an email saying that my services were no longer required as they had no routes in my area which they did have routes I my area I was on that route till they swapped me over to being on standby instead no explanation as to why. I spoke to hr that confirmed they also had no idea why. I said I wanted to be reinstated as they had no reason to sack me ect and a few weeks later I get an email with a new log in pin ect so I start to log in only to find 7 days later I am blocked from the system. The computer gave me log in details and it wasn’t meant to I have heard nothing more on this I would avoid this company at all costs. Leicestershire area

Good morning, just checked back through our records & we have only ever had two employees named Kelly & both still work for us & both are drivers, not sure where the review above has come from but it definitely does not relate to 24x7 Lincolnshire, perhaps the lady concerned worked for a different branch or possibly a different company named 24x7 but without further details I cannot look into this further

Regards Jason Rawlin (Company Director)

Thanks for updating Kelly although it would be nice if you could remove the review as it does not relate to 24x7 Lincolnshire, I will pass your comments on to the Area Director concerned

24x7 Drivers opinion.

I have worked as a driver for this company for 5 years. The management team are friendly and efficient. Training was provided initially, followed by further instruction as needed. All the passenger assistants I have worked with have been dedicated to the children, and have gone the extra mile to keep them happy and safe during journeys.

My daughter is special needs

My daughter is special needs, she sometimes has meltdowns or difficult behaviour due to her Dyspraxia (mental not motor) and her other difficulties which fall into the autistic spectrum.

This company is supposed to transport special needs children to school and home, Not only do they fall Shockingly short in how the bus staff treat the children which is abrasive and they shout at them! causing the disabled children further distress. (while the parents cannot see, and the children cannot defend themselves.. they will abuse them?) they verbally attach the children if they do not comply like a non special needs child would.. for example rocking in their seat or shouting.. as disabled children on occasion do.
Also this morning, my special needs daughter was running late.. not unusual for special needs as any parent will tell you while caring for a child like my own, however, this is the first time since this absolutely disgusting company took over that this has happened to us personally, although other parents have many terrible stories to tell.
the bus driver looked at my wife as she opened the door for my daughter to get in their van, as she (the driver Alison) pulled away (we are talking putting her foot flat to the floor speeding away WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS IN THE VAN!) the whole time looking at my wife and not the road!!!!! How incredibly irresponsible and childish!
not only did she put my daughter in a stressful situation but she endangered other peoples disabled children!

All the other reviews are correct

All the other reviews are correct, this company were the cheapest and it has impacted on both staff and the children they transport to school.
Routes have been slashed, cramming more children into minibuses to save money and a poor mixing of children that were once lone travellers.
Staff are treated poorly and many lose their jobs on a whim with little or no notice impacting on the regularity these children require.

oh lincolnshire council what have you done :(

we recently had out special needs childrens school transport, i have never known such a awfull company , we have had a few differnt companies over the many years taking the kids to school but these are terrible, out of the depths ! and the rudeness off the managers when you call to view your concerns over the untrained staff and the fact your concerns as a special needs parent to only be ripped into and bad mouth'd its discracefull, you cant show a sign of concern for your childs wellfair and wellbeing without being judged and had a go at for complaining, its just wrong there was even one bus that door didnt safely close in the morning instead of doing the right thing and remove the children or wait for another bus they took the kids on the bus, one thing after another really , lots of lies and passing the blame to the parents for there lack of knowlege and awareness over special needs children, and shame on lincolnshire council for doing this to save a few quid !

Shoddy at best

The staff of this company have NO training with special needs. No training whatsoever in fact. Employees are taken off the street, given a crb check and put in the deep end with special needs children, (spoken to an employee this morning, who told me this exactly) they are told NOT to disclose to parents anything which happens on the bus, to report only to the company boss, and lie to parents if necessary.
This company is a JOKE, and Lincolnshire council have employed them to pick up all Lincolnshire special needs children in 2017 because they are the cheapest.
poor kids... I fear for them.

Thank you for your reply:-
but it seems you do not know your company as well as you should.
a member of your staff told me themselves they have NO official training, and received none before starting their job. when asked if they had at least first aid training, the answer was no, in the event of a disabled child having a fit in their care, they would not know what to do. they told me they can ONLY report back to their boss of events which take place in their care and not tell the parents of events with their child.
you may talk the talk but you company cannot back it up. as your the facts and actions speak louder than your false claims.
I am on the receiving end of your company, you, it seems, need to investigate your staff.

If you would like to share specifics I would happily address your concerns, I can assure that all 24x7 staff have had the appropriate checks & training as required by LCC & the schools concerned in addition to any med specific training required for certain individuals in the same way that any other firms that offer this kind of service do, whilst it is true many of our staff are newly recruited due to Lincolnshire being a new area for us it is both unfair & untrue to suggest they have had no training whatsoever, as with any new operation there will always be some teething issues & a settling in period but Both LCC, all the relevant schools & the majority of parents are very happy with the service provided so far & we intend to continue to improve upon this, I shouldn't have to remind you that everyone is a new to a role at some point in their life but that does not mean they won't be very good at it, over time this will be proven to be true.
