The connectivity is just as good as EE but the cost is considerably less and European roaming is included as standard. The transfer was seamless. I would have given 5 stars but I think 1p mobile coul... See more

1pMobile - very poor
Switched to 1p Mobile with the expectation of better rural signal coverage than my old network as it piggybacks on the EE network but I noticed very little difference. My monthly direct debit didn't go through because I didn't have enough funds in the account to cover it. I immediately transferred funds and went on the very clunky 1p Mobile website to pay it but there was no option to pay it other than to purchase very expensive 'top ups' which quickly run out and leave you with no data or phone calls. I tried to contact customer services but the only way to contact them is via a phone call on Mon-Fri 09.00-17.00. A very disappointing experience so I've switched back to my old network. Stay well away from 1p Mobile, they're awful.
Good luck trying to contact them by…
Good luck trying to contact them by phone. Over 20 attempts(make that 40) and phone lines are closed at 6pm. and still no luck. Wife took out sim only deal for full year up front payment. Her current provider made her an offer she couldn't refuse and she can't get through to 1p mobile to cancel. A phone company you can't get through to..did you ever!
A massive time waste and a poor service
It seemed like a good deal for a SIM for my child's smart watch. But the service was unreliable.
My child often couldn't call me during the 60 day credit window because the service didn't work for no apparent reason.
When I topped up, the credit didn't always get applied without me having to contact them.
Today, after abandoning this service and switching to Lebara 1P Mobile charged my card £10 without my authorisation. I had a pay-as-you-go account and hadn't topped up for almost three months so it was a shock to see them take money that I hadn't approved.
They have poor customer service - you can call but no one answers, you can ask AI chat which can't really help with much, and there's meant to be live chat, but it's either not available or it's too difficult to find.
A massive time waste and a poor service.
NEVER HEARD OF 1PMOBILE?
My contract was up with EE and i wanted to save some dosh and switch to another supplier. Because I have Virgin Media I was going to switch to o2 unlimited data for a tenner...bargain. HOWEVER when I told Co Pilot I was going to switch it recommended 1pMobile as it uses EE network and has better coverage in my area.
I have switched 2 numbers easily and effectively halved my bill..result. Cant think of any negatives...so far
easy to change
Nothing but problems
I recently joined 1pmobile selecting to install via eSim, but have been facing issues ever since. I noticed I couldn't receive OTPs which meant I couldn't log in to any services like HMRC and some financial services which require it. I then realised I cannot receive ANY SMS unless from someone also on 1pmobile. I then asked my mother to try calling me (from a different network), but she said she hears "the number you've called has not been recognised". Customer support are gaslighting me saying they're not seeing any texts or OTPs coming through, so are doubting I am even requesting them. I wish I never switched away from O2. This is crazy. I've never experienced anything like this since owning my first mobile phone decades ago.
Good signal
Better signal than I previously had with Tesco at under half the price.
Great Value
Great Value, excellent customer service and network coverage
Easy to get hold of new SIM
Easy to get hold of new SIM, easy to transfer number. Have had the new SIM for 3 months and the cellular reception (calls & 5g) where I live is getting worse and worse. As expected the “coverage checker” reveals fantastic coverage which is, well, nonsense. Doesn’t appear anyone to raise this with. But, with this being a monthly only contract, easy to leave.
Web site doesn't work
Got a rather demanding email saying my account needed topping up by 54p or would cut the service, when I tried to login using the mobile number and email they sent the message to, said details not recognised even though carefully entered. No other options to top up given nor any way to gain help given in the email.
Account blocked immediately after payment no response
I initially planned to move 3 business mobile phones to 1pMobile, so I opened an account and paid £15 to test the service.
I received login details, but as soon as I tried to access the account, it was blocked with a “Security Alert – Suspicious Activity Detected” message. Since then, I have had zero access to the service.
I contacted both support and their security team multiple times, but after 3 days there has been no response at all.
At this point, I have paid for a service that I have not been able to use even once.
Based on this experience, I’m reconsidering switching providers entirely and it makes me understand why businesses often stick with more expensive providers like BT.
I have now raised a PayPal dispute due to non-delivery of service. I will update this review if the issue is resolved.
Needs met
I’ve been on 1p for a couple years now after leaving Vodafone and it’s been great tbh. I get EE level connection with them, never really had any major issue.
It’s certainly a no frills network, you can port your number easily but for the EE network at a small cost, I find it to be the best value one there is as I don’t care about anything else. No locked in contract, can leave anytime you want.
[tip] seems to be people complaining about a certain issue but when i went abroad, i just ended up using a holafly esim as was outside of europe and it worked great for me, i got back home and continued with 1p.
Contact nigh on impossible
Impossible to contact on the phone, emails are not answered. I cancelled.
Changed over to 1p Mobile
Changed over to 1p Mobile from EE after a huge price increase this year, brilliant experience so far with easy process for phone number porting. The coverage is great and so are the data speeds offered, all in all a great MVNO with great prices. I would recommend the switch.
The app and website crashes regularly
The app and website crashes regularly. Furthermore, phones aren't answered and emails are ignored. I very much regret ever joining them and will switch at the earliest opportunity.
Left without data, support can't help
I used all of my data whilst on holiday and although the website is down more often than it is up and is the only way to add more data boosts, I finally managed to do so.
Even though this boost was charged for and showing on my account, it has never worked and I have been left without any data on my phone for days. Support did respond to say that they were experiencing issues, and that the issue was fixed but it was not and subsequent requests for support were ignored.
This is the first time in 30 years of owning a mobile device that I have been left with no service due to a 'technical issue' so I've had no option but to order a connection with a competing provider and my number ports to them next week.
A customer lost due to 'technical issues' and little to no customer support. I would avoid if you value a reliable connection.
Changed from Tesco mobile (O2) to 1p (EE) for a more reliable service.
I had 2 phones on Tesco mobile (using the O2 network) for many years, however, both had connection issues, either dropping in and out of the signal during a conversation or just cutting out completely. I contacted Tesco mobile on numerous occasions without a resolution so they agreed to release me from my contract without any penalty.
After researching the best signal provider for my area I established that EE would be the best option. I chose 1p for an even lower monthly cost and my wife has relatives in Australia who only use mobiles and 1p provide a service to Australian mobiles at a sensible cost.
After several weeks of use we've not experienced any of the signal problems. Result!
The main one that is so urecepshionsefull is that…
The main one that is so usefull is that it is plain and very easy and simple to activate eneything to do with your account including deataild itemised biiling for your calls data and texts.the recepshion is toterley unberleavable it is using ee tecknolagey and all there masks i am very happ with this network and the main thing it is very cheap to run you can get one of thefe 50gb pacages for onley 10 pound every 30 days and if one mounths you cant aford to pay you dont have to it still works the recepshion is fantastic it is so srong and clear and so stable.i am a very very 1pmobile custermer.dont miss out you wont look back.take care..
So far so good
So far so good! Changed my SIM only to 1p mobile recently and it was a smooth transition with a better deal all round for less money. No problems as yet so I'm pleased!
Really good sim card for a tracker
Really good sim card for a tracker, excellent as only a penny a text so works good for these 👌
