My Experience with World Wide Art: Mixed Feelings

I collaborated with World Wide Art to present exclusive works. While it seemed like an exciting partnership at first, my experience has been rather disappointing.

The first shipment of my works was stolen. After a lot of hassle, the pieces suddenly reappeared and were returned to me. Unfortunately, they arrived damaged. While I understand that World Wide Art might not be directly responsible for this, I expected the works to be shipped with insurance—especially given the significant amount I paid.

The issue? The damages are not being reimbursed. Despite repeated attempts to resolve this internally, the process has dragged on for months with no constructive steps toward a solution. Meanwhile, four exclusive works have been damaged, resulting in significant income loss for me.

I had expected a more constructive approach and an insurance policy to cover such damages, but unfortunately, that has not been the case. This has seriously impacted my trust in the organization.

I hope World Wide Art improves their processes so that other artists won’t face similar challenges.

Dear Wendy Leyten,

I think your complaint and your 1 star review are misplaced. We sent your photographs back to you after an exhibition as you requested, by DHL. Apparently the box was delivered to you without the photographs in them. It appears that they were held in customs and not replaced in the box. Then they were sent back to us in a different box.

Subsequently we sent the photographs back to you by UPS, at our own expense.

It seems the photographs arrived with a few small scratches, obviously made during the shipping back and forth.

Obviously all of this was not our fault.

Shipping with insurance costs significantly more, but you never requested this because you didn't want to pay for it. If you had, we would have had the shipment insured for the value you listed.
As clearly stated in the contract between us, we are not responsible for damage or loss of art during shipment. The artists pay both ways and they can choose to buy shipping insurance if hey like.

I was overwhelmed by the sudden large number of invitations I received.
There is a wide variety of books.
There are also exhibitions and video displays.
The prices are reasonable.
I was scared at first because I didn't know anything about the system.
I learned that it is normal overseas to advertise a year in advance.
I think these people are trustworthy. Thank you very much.
