I purchased a product from this company…
I purchased a product from this company in September 2020 called GStore Drive. the company a reseller for GDrive. It offered unlimited storage for my backups, which are close too a terabyte in size. They also stated they had at least a five year agreement with Google for this arrangement. In early Mar Google suspended my account for illegal advertising (spam). I queried that allegation as the only reason I had purchased the package was for static storage, during the time my account was available I uploaded 200+ GB to the drive. All the materials were owned or legally licenced to me, and did not contravene Googles terms of service/use in any way. Google would not respond as I was not the direct admin.
I tried to make contact with WPThemes Plugins as I was able to ascertain that this was the admin. I have used the companies help desk and sent an email to one of the principal direct when I got no responsr. I month after my first contact I have received no communication I not received any communication from the company, other than the automated "We have received your ticket and will respond as soon as possible.
I also note a recent addition to their site which says: Thank you for your purchase! Please note that Google kinda have a reputation of disabling account for unobvious reason (GDrive, Google Adsense, etc). So it is advisable to use your GDrive account as a 2nd or 3rd backup storage. We have a 5-years guarantee, so if for any reasons any of your account gets disabled by Google, we can create another one for you.. Which states among other things that we should only purchase as a second or third ackup storage, as google is prone to closing accounts without obvious reasons. A pity that was mentioned in the sales letter as I certainly would have bailed out on the deal if that had been mentioned. From myreading it looks as if my stored data, on the worlds supposedly most secure servers,is not retrievable, all I can get is a new account, if someone would talk to me. I am not interested in risk folly and would like to find out my options, 6 months into a 5 year cycle.
