Disregard for UK Consumer Rights

Avoid this company if you're a UK customer.

My order was delayed, communication was poor, and I often had to wait days for responses while repeatedly chasing for updates. When the item finally arrived, I was disappointed with the quality, including loose stitching and a "mystery gift" that felt nowhere near the value implied by the company.

The bigger issue was what happened when I tried to return the item.

I exercised my legal right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 within the statutory cancellation period. Instead of addressing the legislation I had cited, I received responses that appeared to be copied directly from the company's refund policy, repeatedly stating that refunds would not be provided for "change of mind" or sizing issues.

Even after explaining that UK consumer rights cannot be overridden by a company's own policy, my emails were largely ignored and the legal points were never properly addressed. It took multiple chaser emails, over a week without a meaningful response, and eventually the threat of escalation before I received further contact.

In the end, I was forced to pursue a chargeback through my bank, which was decided in my favour.

My advice to other UK customers is simple: know your consumer rights before dealing with this company. A retailer's refund policy does not automatically override your statutory protections under UK law. Keep records of all correspondence, be prepared to escalate disputes where necessary, and do not simply accept a company's interpretation of your rights without checking the law yourself.

I will not be purchasing from Worst Work again.
