This organisation arranges sponsors for children in areas of the world where their communities are struggling.
I was amazed how well set up it is, and how easy it is to contact my child.

My wife and I have been sponsors with World Vision for as long as we've had our own children, now 29 and 27!. I think we are on our fourth wee boy. It is amazing to see the individuals and the communities World Vision support grow and develop. Recently we moved from a "completed" project in Senegal to a new location in Nepal. World Vision are excellent in guiding your experience, with reminders for birthdays and Christmas etc. In recent years improvements with the online side of things make contact and communications much easier. I would recommend sponsorship, and World Vision especially, to everyone!

Being a sponsor is such a lovely experience. Its been for about 4 years now and watching my sponsor child grow and look so confident is heart warming. The information you get as a sponsor is very good. Im impressed with World Vision as an organisation and feel my contribution is spent well and makes a difference.

I love to hear updates from the little girl I sponsor on the other side of the world. I had not heard of the area she lives in before and it now means something to me,
I always look forward to the messages. I don't have my own children so this means a lot to me. I hope I am helping her to thrive somehow.

As someone who strongly believe that I she is a Parent to Children Globally, and I belong to numerous Charities both for adults and children. However, during Covid-19 I made the decision to Sponsor a child and Choose Henly. I felt a connection to him i.e., the other Son I have always wanted and it is as a great honour to make a real difference in his life It is incredible, to sponsor a child by World Vision where it is easy to get in touch and access a wealth of information about the work they are doing. I get regular communication with updates, videos and letters that are uplifting and inspirating encouraging me to do more.
I felt honour on receiving my First Letter from my Sponsor Child and the contents warm my heart.

It is a great honour to serve God through this charity of love. I get regular updates, and videos, letters that are inspiring and uplifting. I'd encourage anyone to think of sponsorship to make a difference in the world we share before God.

I have been wanting to sponsor a child for a while as I did it once before many years ago. World vision have created wonderful engagement opportunities between sponsor and child. I also love that they allow the child to choose their sponsor, this makes it an extra personal experience. I am looking forward to getting to know my little friend and watching him grow and thrive.

I'm so pleased I took out a sponsorship with World vision, they do amazing work, keep in contact with me with letters, videos, emails so I am well informed as to everything they do. It was wonderful when I received my first letter in the post from the young girl I am sponsoring. World vision do incredible work. Kim

World vision are doing an excellent job helping poor communities become self sufficient through asking those that can to become child sponsors or simply through donations.
My husband and I have been a sponsor of a child for many years and it has been wonderful being in contact with them, hearing their news and seeing their community grow happier, safer and self sufficient, so much so that they can leave them now and move on to help another poor community.
World vision are also fab at reminding you about when to send birthdays, Christmas cards and activities if you wish.

I've been a sponsor for many years and it has been good to see how my sponsored child has grown into early adulthood.
World vision are so good at reminding you to stay in touch and sending practical games and activities. It is helpful too to get an annual report.
I think they do a great job given how difficult the practicalities of this must be.

I have been a child sponsor for many years and have sponsored 3 children. It is a very rewarding experience to see how the children progress and how their communities benefit from the presence of World Vision. The communication between me and my sponsored child is excellent and I look forward to the videos, letters and cards. If you are thinking about sponsorship, please, just do it! you won’t regret it.

I have been a world vision child Sponcer for over 25 years and find it the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. It is so good to see the changes being made in your child's community and to know you have helped in a small way.
World vision are brillent at helping you keep in touch with your child's progress.

We have wanted to sponsor a child for some years but only recently became able to afford the commitment and know we could sustain it.
The process of becoming a sponsor was very easy and pain-free. We were helped every step of the way as to how to make our first contact with our sponsored child, and have just received a scanned copy of her first contact with us.
We look forward to being able to help Yeama and her community and being enriched by knowing more about her life and that of her family.

Terrible experience. I give to many charities but this one is the worst I've ever dealt with. Too consumed with money grabbing. I asked them to cancel my £30 a month and the inefficient call handler pretended she had computer issues and 'she'd call me back'. She never did. I cancelled with the bank in the end. I'll be giving my money to a far more compassionate charity. Shame for the children but it makes me doubt them as a charity and how legitimate they are when their staff behave like that.

Just some uncertainty caused on “must have gift page” that you were shipping an e-card to my home address in UK.
So just paid and hoped the card would not be posted to me.

They cancelled my order but kept the money, was over a week until they replied to my first email, didn’t reply to the others, waffled in the email I sent but did not take action . When I eventually phoned them the two people waffled on without sorting the issue so I cancelled my order asked for a refund (can’t have it for 4 days apparently!) and gave my money to a more efficient charity

Very disappointed

Sorry but this is not an improvement.
It looks simple but is more complicated if you make a mistake.
No option to edit without starting again,
No way of reviewing what card looks like
No way of sending different gifts to different addresses. ...or if there is its not obvious.

Sponsored with World Vision for over 30 years.
Wonderful way of sharing with my grandchildren and engaging them with my child. When you hear from your child that a new school is being built and the excitement, makes you very aware of the great work WV are doing.
Sending a card at birthday and Christmas just brings awareness to how fortunate we are. The new web site for gift purchases makes this easier.
The work of World Vision is vey personal, real, engaging and exciting and have seen many changes over the years.

I used to use the old site and this one is far better. There is more information about what World Vision actually do, which is pretty impressive. Plus this website version is faster I think.
