WorldSmith is an AI-powered worldbuilding and campaign management platform for tabletop roleplaying games. Built for Dungeon Masters, WorldSmith helps you create, organize, and run entire campaigns in one place. It was built with D&D 5e (2014 and 2024) in mind, but it also supports earlier editions, Pathfinder, and smaller TTRPGs — its deep customization options make it truly system agnostic. It starts with the campaign workspace: plan story arcs, invite your players, control exactly what they can see, build homebrew classes and races for your world, and get automatic session recaps — no more juggling half a dozen apps. From there, our generators create ready-to-use monsters, NPCs, magic items, spells, encounters, dungeons, and over twenty other content types in seconds, each with balanced mechanics and authentic sourcebook-style formatting. Need maps? Browse a library of 200,000+ world, city, and battle maps, or generate and edit your own. Meet Smithy, our built-in AI assistant — a creative partner who actually knows your world. It reads your campaign, remembers your NPCs and plot threads, and helps you prep sessions, improvise encounters, and answer "wait, what was that innkeeper's name?" in seconds. When you make something great, share it: the WorldSmith community lets you publish, discover, and remix homebrew, from magic items to complete campaigns. Whether you're prepping your first one-shot or running a decade-long campaign, WorldSmith takes the busywork out of prep so you can spend time telling great stories with your friends. Custom creations

Wordsmith has been extremely helpful in assisting me in creating custom items, spells, and characters. Even if I don’t use what was generated it can help me in the campaign I host in creating new encounters and items.

I think it’s best use is just creating random things that I think of so I can specify later and refine the idea I had.

great for Homebrew

This is an excellent if not feature complete tool for Homebrewing DND 5e. if they do all the things they say they will do (Campaign feature, better dungeon design, mobile app) this will easily be one of the best tools out there for homebrew and for DND 5e

Once I was introduced to the platform

Once I was introduced to the platform, it's been constantly on my homebar for quick use.
Every group I interact with I mention it to share the experience with. Every new Dungeon Master is on my radar to share this site with. Everything on it is exceptional, and the team is very quick to respond with any issues that a user may have.

10/10, would always recommend.

Worldsmith, World Class

Worldsmith as a company has quickly become a common name in my home and with my gaming group. I've been happy to have be a part of both the use and growth of the application. The staff are supportive and highly communicative. It's not only clear that they make time for every issue to arise, but they do so with such relative swiftness, you'd swear there was never a problem to begin with. They've cultivated a community of users who double as the best beta testers they could ask for, rapidly reporting bugs and conflicts as they arise which the team in turn, prioritizes and corrects.

DMing Made Possible

This site makes DMing a realistic possibility for anyone with a story to tell and the time to build it! I have always loved dnd but finding a DM is difficult, I also always have a lot of weird ideas and stories. What I’m not great at is math and mechanics and naming things lol Worldsmith gave me the tools and the confidence to DM and I have loved every minute of it!

10/10 would recommend

I’ve only been using WorldSmith for a few weeks but it’s already made my games so much more fun! The shop generator comes in super handy when players enter a town for the first time, and I’ve loved the class generator for when we want to shake up our games. 10/10 would recommend.

The perfect balance of freedom and guideposts

The perfect balance of freedom and guideposts. I'm a DM who loves worldbuilding and worldsmith has helped immensely with helping me flesh out my worlds. The campaigns management tool seemlessly integrates with the generators so seeding in basic ideas and structures becomes super easy which lets me focus on the narrative and custamizing the game for my players. I've tried other tools like World Anvil, but to me they try to take control in the wrong places while making me manually fill out inane information.

An awesome tool for all GMs

This is a fast and useful tool for GMs that need help creating homebrew elements for their D&D world! The generator responds well to detailed prompts and the ability to quickly edit and adjust elements of the final product allow you to make sure that the creation is still your own.

Can’t say enough good about WorldSmith, added a lot more professional looking content and definitely helped specifically with what I struggle with.

Wordsmith has been super helpful for me…

Wordsmith has been super helpful for me running my games. I think my favorite use case is to help create items on the fly. Additionally, it’s great to help brainstorms cool monster ideas and it’s really easy to customize a monster that you create with it. I would recommend this to anyone Dming!

I’ve been using WorldSmith years!

It’s not only great for prepping sessions, but it’s a godsend everytime my players walk into a town I haven’t prepped for and I need a shop, magic item, etc on the fly. It’s completely customizable and the UI is amazing. I’m ride or die, and can’t wait to see the new features to come.
