Worldpackers is great. I had two bad experiences with hosts, and because I paid the insurance, WP covered the hostel expenses. Is working really well and the customer service is amazing.

My experience at ARA
I worked as a volunteer at ARA for two weeks and it was an amazing experience. They are so well organized and they truly care about their animals and the volunteers helping to take care of them. I can highly recommend anyone to volunteer for them or even better: to adopt one of their precious animals. It will be a life changing experience!

My experience was great. Worldpackers give you the opportunity of meeting people from everywhere, experience different cultures, languages and improving your knowings of the world. The hosts are previously evaluated and in case of any problem they help you immediately through the customer service.

I applied through worldpackers, but I had been in same experience 3 times. BCHF, Nyamira, Kenya. I loved it. I'll go back. I thank worldpackers' for introducing them.
On the other side I really appreciate worldpackers' help at my first experience during which I was left alone and deceived by the host: volunteers2uganda, host name is David Kibalama. I hope all the potential volunteers are warned about the situation there.

Before joining Worldpackers, I checked out numerous other volunteer/host websites. This was definitely the best one. There are opportunities in countries around the world - wow! The price is right and they responded quickly to an inquiry that I had about using the site. I have done three volunteer trips through Worldpackers and I'm looking at possibly a fourth one this spring.

My son and I had a Worldpakers account and decided to host travelers during 2023 e 24. Our first guest came from a cold place to an extremely hot city Manaus. Right at the beginning, the Canadian guest felt sick due to the change in temperature.
She refused to go to the hospital due to lack of money. She insisted on staying home because she thought it was just the flu. As the days went by, she got worse and continued to refuse to take medicine. We had to hire a private doctor to see her at home and administer medication intravenously, even though she refused treatment. After the procedures, she recovered well. However, she wasn't interested in doing anything not even cooking and cleaning agreed tasks . She spent three weeks in her room with no interest in anything other than going out to explore the city. When I asked about the cost of her treatment, she refused and said she couldn't afford it. Therefore, we, the hosts, suffered financial loss and stress. When we contacted the platform, they sent an email and never responded. Anyway. The loss was all ours. I wonder if something worse had happened to her.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of travelers are just looking for a safe place to sleep and eat for free.
We had 5 people staying, only two were interested in helping with the agreed tasks. The rest just wanted to serve themselves. I hope this serves as a lesson to everyone

I've been married to Worldpackers for more than 2 years now!
I use Worldpackers platform for more than two years now and I always recommend it to friends! It's easy to use and safe to find hosts and volunterring opportunities that will add something more to your trip, besides helping to save up money on acommodation.

Great program, but poor support
My experience with Worldpackers was mostly positive. The concept of the program is fantastic and I had a great time because my host was really amazing. However, I was disappointed with the platform's support. I paid 59 euros for the program and tried contacting them via email and through their website for questions or assistance, but I never received a response. It would be very helpful if the company improved its responsiveness to users.
