Bait and switch. Signed up for a 125k medical policy, got a 25k one. Found several other reports of they doing that. Cancelled as I was in cool off period, but if I hadn’t looked at my policy documentation I would not have found out

Easy to navigate. Provided clear options for coverage and when I called support to clarify coverage duration, the rep was beyond helpful and reassured me on coverage. Very competitive price for Explorer option for 100 days solo East and SE asia trip. Will definitely use again!

Smooth process getting you covered. Can't say anything about claim management - and hopefully never have to.

Paid the Premium but It took 3 months for that, despite all correct info given since day 1

Did fine but disappointed in an answer I received from a question. It didn't seem like the person even read what I wrote because the answer was so off the mark.

Did not cover a sudden, altitude related illness on a trek high in the Himalayas that shortened my pre-paid professionally guided trek, required helicopter evac to lower altitude on advice from my guide (couldn't take deep breath & was unable to hike out on my own) where I spent 4 days recovering from a deep, bronchial cough in my hotel. The reason given was that I did not seek treatment by a doctor or hospital to document the validity of the claim. Due to swift preventative action, my high risk altitude symptoms (nausea, headache) eased immediately at the lower altitude. I was mainly left with a deep cough that I decided to self treat over 4 days with rest, hydration, otc cough medicine, steam, etc. My trip was interrupted due to illness, I incurred no medical expenses but did incur extra costs as a result, the claims I submitted were minimal, and I provided reasons why I did not seek formal medical treatment.
The best way to summarize this travel insurance is that if you have a major medical emergency and are hospitalized, they will likely cover it. However, if your trip is interrupted by any illness or medical issue that does not rise to the level of requiring hospitalization or treatment in a formal medical setting (think food poisoning, flu, etc.) or if you take preventative action to prevent a more serious illness (altitude sickness), it does not provide any trip interruption cover whatsoever.
Deeply disappointed in their policy as it lacks practical application and lacks discretion for common trip interruption situations.

Pretty perfect travel insurance for the adventure traveler! The site is very easy to navigate, great coverage options are extensive (and very inclusive!) and the cost is surprisingly reasonable. World Nomads will be my go-to for travel insurance from now on!

Everything was easy and straight to the point. You guys took out any guess work. There was no run around or send your email first for the pricing. I didn’t have to speak to anyone and everything was written out plainly and throughly. I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.
