I've been using WVT for several years, but this time I noticed AI was inclued in the meeting. I'm not sure why.

Fascinating

I watched this with my two daughters and we all thought it was fascinating and a good use of our time. I liked that we were all encouraged to ask questions and the guide spent time to reply to everyone.
I disagree with some of the previous comments and frankly I’m not sure what people expect for the price they paid. I thought it was well thought out, the content and detail discussed on the book of dead and the amazing hieroglyphs was awe inspiring.
I would definitely recommend this and attend other tours.

Fantastic, thank you!

The guide was very informative and knowledgeable, and clearly very enthusiastic about showing us around. He explained everything in lots of detail and answered all our questions. A really fantastic tour!

Good, not quite what I expected, but that’s ok.

As an adult, I enjoyed the tour. It wasn’t quite what I expected, but that’s ok. My daughter (8) is studying Egypt at school and she really liked the idea of it, but was fidgety. She loved that we could ask questions, however. I would book another and would know what to expect this time.

Great guide, poor execution

Ragab was a very charismatic, interesting and informative guide, however, the tour was not what we were expecting - we assumed that it would be a person (like Ragab) in the actual tomb, pointing out various points of interest, like a one hour documentary. The stills on mummification at the beginning, and the 3D photographs of the tomb, while interesting did not live up to the description and were a bit of an anti-climax due to the limitations of Zoom. Also, having others speak on the chat was distracting.

Missing second part of presentation

A two part presentation. Nice first part, but I was kicked off during break and could not rejoin for second part which I assume dealt with Luxor, which is why I paid to watch this.

Informative and Motivating

We really enjoyed the virtual tour of Luxor. The guide was well-informed and provided many historical, architectural and archeological facts/timelines. I think it was helpful that I had a little background on Egyptology which has always fascinated me. We changed plans a few years ago to visit Egypt and even though we are definitely older - after seeing the virtual tour, we are discussing visiting in person! Thank you.

We watched a tour of one of Egypt’s tombs

We watched a tour of one of Egypt’s tombs. The tour guide was fantastic, full of information and kindly taking a lot of questions. It was interesting to see the pictures depicted.
The images advertised on the website were quite different to what we were actually shown on the tour which was disappointing.

I really enjoyed this and found the guide to be very knowledgeable. Though I would like to have seen more of the actual pyramids to get the feel of a real "tour", albeit virtual, I thought he chose very interesting points to highlight in the time given. I would attend another one.

We had a really enjoyable time with our guide Ragab! He knew a great deal about the topic and answered all questions in detail; he also provided lots of great detail during the tour that I found very informative. I appreciated that he seemed to enjoy telling us about the Valley of the Kings as much as we enjoyed hearing about it. The walkthrough of the Ramses tomb was also incredibly interesting- it was the first time I’ve been able to see hieroglyphs and carvings like that in situ rather than just pictures in books, and the context was a great addition to Ragab’s info!

Great lockdown activity

It was a really interesting tour and our guide Ragab was very knowledgeable and engaging and answered all the questions from the group in detail. The images from the temple were really clear and the colours were beautiful. The tour made me want to visit Egypt when this is possible again, but for now it was a lovely way to pass an afternoon in lockdown. Would recommend if you're looking for something different to do on a budget, and if you miss travelling!
