Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 89 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the identity verification process to be ineffective and frustrating, often failing to verify documents even after numerous attempts and with clear images. People reported issues with the app and website not working correctly, including camera failures and an inability to link devices, leading to significant time wasted. This often resulted in users being locked out of other services or experiencing delays, highlighting a catastrophic failure in the service's core function. However, some people mentioned that the process was simple and worked without friction, particularly when verifying passports and selfies, and without requiring a mobile application installation. A few others also felt that the service provided more security due to biometric scans.

Abysmal

Scanned driver's licence numerous times after being locked out of LinkedIn. The only outcome is I'm suddenly receiving high volumes of suspect login attempts from different places. Suspect as !

Kudos to Linkedin for this stunning own goal in a marketing fail on their part !

Pointless verification

You can verify yourself and still be shut out by LinkedIn. There's is no point in getting verified with Persona. Id actively discourage anyone from using it

Broken at Best, A Scam at Worst

A reputable local employer had offered me a good job, but their HR department insisted that I verify with WithPersona first. I tried to scan my DL in, and it rejected a clear image three times. Now I have no job and have to worry about identity theft. I am not happy!

Too thorough and too much information collected. It feels unsafe.

I verified my ID with persona for LinkedIn and it was a very tedious process. It is very thorough (You need to photograph and then scan your passport's chip with your own phone and then also take some selfies afterwards). It took me several attempts with different ID documents. Now I am scared my information will not be saved safely or will be given to fraudulent companies. Don't do it. LinkedIn should do it differently and process the information themselves. Too much information was required and it feels totally unsafe.

Scam software that does NOT WORK

This is an absolute scam, I cannot believe LinkedIn associates with this company.
The software DOES NOT WORK. I have tried with three government issued IDs from three different devices (so 10+ occasions submitting documents) and their useless software says unable to verify ID.

Customer service is non existent, all they do is send a copy paste email that contact LinkedIn with you verification issue. Why would LinkedIn care thay your software does not work?????? They dont offer any support, no manual support of verification, no chat, no email support, NOTHING.

I cant believe a company in 2024 can operate like this, I am shocked and disgusted, hope somebody sues these scammers.

What a nightmare!

Had several attempts at the verification was doing everything right, it had trouble scanning the chip in my passport then eventually when it did scan the chip, it had trouble verifying my selfie photo and after several attempts following their instructions it still couldn't verify the selfie. I had to go back and start the whole process again and this time it wouldn't verify the chip so I couldn't progress any further it says about five minutes but it's more like about half an hour with no success.
This was a complete waste of my time!
After reading some of the other reviews, I'm considering myself quite lucky it didn't work because there appears to be massive security breaches with persona.

Their "verification software" is…

Their "verification software" is glitchy and bugged. With all the money they make, could they not hire 1 real developer?!? How can software that DOESN'T WORK be put into production. Have ANY of their employees ever used it?!!?
-Take photo button doesn't appear half the time
-Pressing it to program response is sometimes 10 f'cking seconds! God forbid you move your hand 1mm in that 10 seconds.
-Retake doesn't work
-Even if by some Miracle of God, you are able to submit the front and back photos (trying multiple mobile devices and multiple browser types to find the ONE that the devs used for this testing this piece of you know what software code) IT WILL 100% return UNABLE TO VERIFY IDENTITY.
-There is no code deployed to ACTUALLY CHECK THE SUBMITTED IDs!

I am a long time software developer and the fact that this fraud "company" tricked LinkedIn and other big names to use this vaporware IS AMAZING! Hats off to the salepeople who were able to sell this!

No hacen su trabajo. They do not what they are supposed to do.

SECOND TIME I'm verifying my ID in LinkedIn and, this "company" does NOTHING. A bunch of useless, good-for-nothing that live exploiting other companies customers data. I'm rating 1 as I can't rate ZERO, that is just what they deserve.

Awful company

Awful company. Terrible verification procedure. Clear pictures in good light with plain backgrounds. I do what the website tells me 5 times just to fail each time. You guys are actually awful and your software sucks.

Poor Customer Support

Contacted support as they wouldn't accept my UK National ID card citing it isn't clear to read.

A few hours later, I get a response saying they only handle the 'Identity Verification' for companies and that I should contact the company directing me to them for help. The issue? it is their system that isn't accepting my ID. Why do these companies have such poor customer support?

Software does not work.

Likely a scam to steal identitiies.

Received an initial email from With Persona.

Incredulously, at that time they stated they could not offer support for their software !!!!!

No further emails received.

InBoxPounds has stolen money from me, by using With Persona ID software

As With Persona has not provided evidence to the contrary, I have to consider that With Persona is colluding with criminals in order to commit fraud and steal money.

With Persona has only 1 star ratings on Trustpilot, so therefore should be rated 1.0.

Instead it has a rating of 2.8.

It appears that the ratings given by Trustpilot cannot be trusted.
