Unfortunately
Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give 1 star, as the quality of Wise's service has deteriorated drastically over the past period.
My main issue is with the bank cards: the ones I ordered either never arrive at all, or if they do arrive, they don't work. This alone is completely unacceptable from a financial service provider.
To make matters worse, customer support is practically unreachable. When I do manage to get in touch, a completely useless AI bot responds — one that doesn't actually answer the question asked, but instead sends generic, irrelevant messages. They promise a callback, but never call back. Nothing can ever be resolved with them.
I was a loyal customer for years and used to happily recommend their service to others — now I'm doing the exact opposite: I'm warning everyone away from Wise and looking for an alternative.
I hope this feedback reaches the right people and that they make changes to this situation.

Account closure communicated in a confusing and non-transparent way
Updated after Wise’s reply: unfortunately, their response does not reflect my actual experience.
My experience with Wise has been very negative.
I was told that my account would be closed, but I was not given a clear explanation why. The same email address is linked to both my personal and business account, and the communication I received was unclear and lacked transparency throughout.
What made the situation even worse is that when I opened the appeal link a few weeks ago, I was shown a message saying that I could not appeal this case. So in practice, despite what is now being suggested in their reply, I was not actually able to submit any appeal.
This is one of the main reasons why I found the whole process so confusing and frustrating. On the one hand, my account was being closed without a clear explanation. On the other hand, when I tried to challenge the decision, the system told me that an appeal was not possible for this case.
Even more absurdly, as of 19/04/2026, the website still showed me this message: “We’ll close your account on 25 November 2025. Remember to withdraw your money before your account is closed.”
This is clearly confusing, because it refers to a date that had already passed, which only increased the uncertainty.
I have kept screenshots of both the incorrect closure date and the message stating that I could not appeal, because I consider it very serious for a financial service to display such contradictory and confusing information on something as sensitive as the closure of an account.
When it comes to accounts, money, and access to funds, clarity should be the bare minimum. Instead, I experienced vague communication, contradictory information, and no concrete explanation. Their reply to my review did not resolve these concerns; if anything, it reinforced my impression that the handling of my case was inconsistent and unclear.
After reading other reviews, I saw that I am not the only one who has had similar issues, including concerns about funds being blocked. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the service.
I would not recommend Wise to anyone looking for transparency, reliability, and clear customer communication when dealing with their money.
