Awful experience, couldn't cancel online. All hidden

Awful experience. Can not unsubscribe online. a subscription was set up without my permission or agreement and then I had to telephone to cancel.

I ordered from beer52 and wine52 on…

I ordered from beer52 and wine52 on free trial and money next month was deducted from my account without any information. I tried to talk to them on call and on email for refund but they just don’t listen to you. These guys are fraud and fool people on this subscription. They are trained in a way that they just read a written script and don’t listen to what customer is saying. I would never recommend buying from them . It’s a fraud company.

You must cancel your subscription before your billing date. You can contact us by phone on 0131 285 2684, via Facebook Messenger or via our helpdesk https://www.beer52.com/helpCentre/home. If this was not done then at that stage we cannot offer a refund as the order has already been processed to our warehouse.

Do not start a subscription

This should be illegal and hopefully will be soon. They make it unnecessarily difficult to cancel a subscription. They use every sly, underhand, sneaky trick in the book to try to cheat you into sticking with the subscription. The reviews saying otherwise seem, to me, to protest too much. Based on my experience, I have to assume they're fake reviews, but if they're real, it's great that others have had an easier experience than me. But please beware: these seemed to me to be snake-oil, dirty cheats and are, in my book, barely a hair's breadth away from being outright scammers.

Nice customer service

They made cancelling the account very easy. I didn't feel awkward and they weren't pushy about trying to keep me subscribed. I appreciated this, it makes me more likely to resubscribe in the future.

This is hugely overprice wine

This is hugely overprice wine, unless they call you with an exceptional deal, for example, at minimum it needs to be over a 50% reduction in cost. The wine is drinkable, due to the chemicals added to make it taste reasonable, you will never be sent anything remotely high on the quality control levels that some countries have like appellation control (French) of DOCG (Italian), you will be sent the equivalent of vin de table. Awful.

The nature of our wines is that from time to time you may receive some that are not ones you might usually drink, and while our wine experts always try their best to choose what they think our customers will enjoy, they can't always meet everyone's specific tastes. I can assure you that our wines are selected for their high quality. We work with and support our smaller vineyards, rather than larger productions. Our products are of the highest quality and we offer many products that aren't always available elsewhere.

Poor customer service - very difficult to unsubscribe

wine is ok although often nothing special. my problem came when i wanted to cancel my subscription - the only way to cancel is by phone and every time i tried I was left on hold for 15 minutes and then cut off as soon as I told the person manning the phone that I wanted to cancel my order. I don't think this is accidental
