Poor Communication and Unprofessional Handling of Genuine Land Offer
I expressed genuine interest in purchasing a piece of land and asked several reasonable questions before making an offer. Despite this, I received little meaningful response from the selling organisation, so I went as far as purchasing the Land Registry documents myself at my own expense to properly assess the land and demonstrate that I was a serious buyer.
After carrying out my own due diligence, I submitted a formal offer and requested acknowledgement. What is completely unacceptable is that I received virtually no response whatsoever. Whether the offer was considered too low or not is irrelevant — basic professionalism and common courtesy would suggest that a genuine buyer should at least receive an acknowledgement or response.
If the offer was below expectations, or if there was another process being followed, this could easily have been communicated. Instead, there was simply no engagement at all despite the obvious effort and seriousness shown on my side.
Overall, the communication throughout the process was extremely poor and left the impression that genuine enquiries and offers were not being handled professionally. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before dealing with this organisation in relation to land purchases.
