Worst experience with a (Smart)phone ever..

My Realme 5i exellent phone fell of my motorbike on a trip. Had to by a cheap one to continue my trip. Bought a Wiko Sunny 5. for 2000;- Thai BHT. The worst phone EVER . Takes forever to open apps , checking e-mail and so on. My 1998 phones are still quicker than this one. This phone should not be allowed to be on the market in 2021, or at least with a warning on it. Stay away from this one guys...

My desktop from the 90's was faster than this phone. When you open an app you might as well walk away and do something, then come back. Better hope you don't need to urgently call someone. Apps constantly crash; makes my job miserable and I cannot wait to have the money to buy the phone that I want. Other little dumb things like the voicemail notification goes off after clearing over and over even though I have no new voicemails.

WORSE PHONE EVER!!!!!!

This phone is a total piece of garbage. It does nothing but bleed cash from your pocket for the purchase. Dropped calls, terrible sound, freezing, glitching, random rebooting and an upload restart loop that the phone gets stuck in that you cannot get it out of. Phone often get stuck in recovery mode for no reason at all. Wi-Fi is horrible and so is the mobile data. If someone bought this phone for you as a gift they don’t give a damn about you. This phone excels doing nothing you want or need it too. Mobile store won’t even take a return because they know it’s a total piece of trash.

Wiko garbage garbage garbage

These gov. phones (wiko) suck!!! I mean I'm glad that our government recognizes the need to supply the people but these phones are garbage I just got mine a couple weeks ago and the cursor is all over the place and there's no way to adjust the sensitivity if I barely move my thumb or finger it moves completely across the screen and there's no way to zero in on what it is I'm trying to click on it's like a shot in the dark a crap shoot literally because these are crappy phones and I wouldn't have it if it hadn't been given to me free I certainly would never buy one and if I did I'd be pissed and want my money back garbage garbage garbage

I know it's free but why give people junk

I got this phone from assurance wireless from day one this phone has been horrible it takes sometimes 20 minutes to connect it won't let me make phone calls it won't let me answer it freezes up constantly and every time I use voice to text I can pretty much guarantee that every word I said would come out totally different and I have to re-edit over and over and over I just want to take this phone and smash it on the sidewalk and today it cost me a very important phone call I've been waiting for now I have to wait another week and start all over again and wait all day for another phone call to try to take care of some business it really angers me

Complete Dogzhit...1

Complete Dogzhit...1
I was looking for a new mobile phone just to use as a temporary replacement for my (six year0old) iPhone while I look for something with better features and functionality. Before I could even get home, my phone was already malfunctioning due to poorly arranged software architecture and the wrong touch screen sensitivity. Adjusting via the setup and options menus did not help. Clearly the phone had too many features installed out of the box by the vendor, probably to cause the low-quality product to appear more attractive to the prospective buyer. Also, the company has invested ZERO in educating sales staff and vendor technicians who could probably set the phone up for better performance. Instead, they have surrendered their product into the market as a cheapest-price-alternative and nothing more. I brought my phone back the next day and purchased a Vivo for a little bit more money, which I am generally satisfied with; will probably give to my daughter in a month or two.

OMG the camera feature is total failure...way worse than my flip fone. The buttons have a mind of a wako.
I would give it quarter star.

Is this a 'smart' phone or a 'dumb' phone?

Not having any income, I have been a customer of "Assurance Wireless" for 4 or more years. For the most part, they are a competent 'government-issued phone company.' Most of the time I do not have issues with them and most the time their representatives come across as competent; pretty much always they come across as sincerely attempting to assist me to the best of their abilities. Wait times to get a representative are almost always good. On these basis...I would highly recommend Assurance Wireless to people who have no income...

Since being a customer, they have issued me three Android-based smart phones. The first one was the best. The second phone which I received (for free) was a ZTE model phone. It was NOT an upgrade to the first phone, as the Assurance Wireless rep claimed, but for the most part more of a downgrade. After about 2 years, due to operating system updates, it became slower and slower. It finally started to malfunction and very recently much of the time the screen won't turn on...

I recently received another new 'upgrade' phone for free from Assurance Wireless. Once again, the rep assured me that this new phone is truly an 'upgrade' over my previous phone -a ZTE model.

I spent about 3 hours today with 5 representatives from Assurance Wireless attempting unsuccessfully to 'activate' my new phone model which is a Wiko Life 2. It took me an additional 1 1/2 hours, afterwards, ascertaining that I do indeed have the Wiko Life 2: My phone model (on the 'about phone' submenu from the 'settings' menu) simply states that the model of this phone is the Wiko U307AS. This model is not found in the Assurance Wireless homepage in their list of phones. I had to resort to a very long google search to make the connection between U307AS and Life 2 -- to discover that they are synonyms, the same phone model.

So far, the phone is fast enough (faster than my ZTE), but there seems to be software glitches: Sometimes the 'home' button and 'backward' button at the bottom of the display will disappear. Hence, getting back to the 'home' screen when this happens is impossible. Only a restart will resolve this glitch. The phone came pre-installed with about 20 contacts which I didn't want in my contact list. It took me a very long time to 'hide' these contacts. They can't be deleted. This is a first: Pre-installed contacts which can't be deleted; only 'hidden.' Amazingly-annoying. The battery time for the ZTE was bad. If anything, the battery time for this 'new upgrade' of a phone seems slightly if not significantly worse. The ZTE had a lot less customization (ring tones, wallpaper, etc.) than my first phone. My Wiko Life 2 has EVEN LESS customization: Only a handful of really crappy, stupid ring tones and message tones. Only several wallpapers; all of which suck. The phone volume on my previous ZTE was abysmal esp. on 'speaker.' Loudness settings sucked. The highest phone volume settings on my Wiko Life 2 are very low on both phone calls received as well as 'speaker.' Why? How much sense does that make? I keep on getting a notification on my Wiko Life 2 that 'roaming' is turned off. I can't turn 'roaming' on: It is greyed out. There is no notification setting to prevent me from getting this annoying message anywhere. I have to turn down the ring volume in order not to hear this notification which constantly appears. There is also no option to toggle off 'vibrate.' If the volume is down to 0% the phone will vibrate no matter what.

So far, it definitely seems that in most respects, not surprisingly, the Wiko Life 2 is yet another 'downgrade' which was claimed to be an 'upgrade' by Assurance Wireless. I hate the very name "Wiko" sounds really stupid and dumb. As soon as I saw the name "Wiko" on my phone I surmised it would suck. At least I have a 'smart phone' - or should they technically be called 'dumb phones,' instead -as annoying as they are?

I have a Wiko U307AS (I THINK it's a Life 2) and I have had NOTHING but issues since I've had it... There's ZERO storage space (No biggie, SD CARD installed), the pictures are SUPER grainy, can't adjust ANY of the camera settings and it has had a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE LAG since the SECOND I turned it on and it doesn't matter if it's connected to Wifi or running straight off data.. NOT PLEASED one bit, but I guess a phone is a phone...
