Terrible shopping experience, poor service, misleading

Much like other reviews for this retailer, if only the zero stars option was available....

Disappointing shopping experience. Purchased direct, only to find the exact product sold by Wido on eBay cheaper. To their credit they agreed to refund the difference although not yet confirmed whether they have honoured this..
Didn't respond to email or contact form sent almost immediately after making the purchase and realising the cheaper price. Spoke to them on the phone first thing the following day (during their operating hours). Order identified through delivery postcode. However, the product arrived, though not yet unpacked therefore cannot comment on quality, the next day at the billing address. Another call, to be told nothing on the system despite the operator finding the order via the delivery postcode the day before and to return would be at a cost of £15. Had no option but to drag the item into a car and drive it the location.
Having since read reviews on trustpilot it would appear their poor service is a recurrent flaw. Had I reviewed them before purchasing I would have definitely shopped elsewhere; suggest anyone reading this review do the same.
Will not be using Wido in future.

If i could give this company zero stars…

If i could give this company zero stars I would. Got a lovely sofa as a birthday present, took it out the box every single part was broken or wonky (none of the parts had letters or numbers on as suggested in the manual either but that was the least of our problems at this point).

Given the above, they weren't able to identify the part to send so opted for a refund. We had to package everything back up, despite it being all over the garden ready to put up and were promised the HUGE box in the hallway would be out of the way by Friday. Called up Friday 'they didn't receive my email' and now we're stuck with it until Monday with a big party tomorrow. (No room to get through the door and no sofa).

Easily resolved? No! Everytime you call you're on hold for 25 minutes before getting through and they then have to call you back. They don;'t reply to emails and i'm still without my refund or sofa.

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Pay a little more and go to somewhere else, it's honestly not worth the hassle.

Not quite perfect

Wido get a lot of poor reviews and I don't know why as our experience was not that bad. We chose to purchase an outdoor table and chairs in the form of a cube to replace one whose glass had been accidentally broken. The Wido price was good and with a 10% discount only marginally more than the cost of a new glass top and quite frankly the Wido website was the only one offering exactly what we wanted so we ordered it before looking at the Wido online reviews. Having seen so many one stars complaining about their customer service we began to panic.

We had received the standard email acknowledgement for our purchase along with the statement that we would get a tracking number as soon as the goods were shipped but that never arrived and when the goods did not turn up next day as promised we thought that we might be in trouble. A phone call to Wido was promptly answered and we were told that our goods had been shipped to the wrong depot but we would get them the next day.

An email the following day confirmed that the goods were out for delivery but still no tracking number so another call to Wido was needed to get that plus a phone call to Tuffnells the delivery agent.

The goods turned up at 7.00pm, well packed and with a cheeful delivery driver, so our experience with Wido was good but not perfect. If they had issued us with the tracking details by email as soon as they had them the experience would have been 5 stars. As it is we give them 4 but would buy from them again.

Shockingly BAD

The worst company I have EVER dealt with.
Never answer the phone despite holding for over an hour on 4 occasions!
Never respond to e mails.
Just a total disregard for any customer service.
Shouldn’t be allowed to trade, they are a total nightmare to deal with.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Am now waiting for second replacement as first 2 items were damaged. Never answer the phone or reply to emails. Will never use this company again. Will be reporting to Ebay as they cannot be classed as a trusted retailer. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

The worse courier

The worse courier. I ordered a massage bed that should have been here on the 21st of August. I have contacted Wido to be told my parcel has been delivered, however the courier called me on the 21st of August and I missed the call. I called them back a couple of minutes later to be told he was looking for my property but couldn't find it and becasue I didn't answer he moved onto his next delivery. I asked when my parcel would be redelivered to be told he didn't know. I have tried to find my parcel to be told it HAS been delivered which it has NOT!! This is affecting my business and has cost me. I'm unable to do treatments without this. I will never EVER order or use this company again. Absolutely disgusting

The worst shopping experience ive ever had in my entire life,they take your money give you a fake tracking number make poor excuses like parcel misrouted say they will send when they dont this company is just a bunch of scammers do yourselves a favour and do not purchase anything from wido if its cheap then theres a reason for it either they dont have it they wont send it or it will probably be not worth having oh and avoid them on ebay as well youve all been warned.

Buyer Beware Bad customer service.Damaged and missing fixing supplied

Ordered TROPICANA 5 PIECE GARDEN FURNITURE SET. Arrived next day as promised But 2 off the 5 flat pack boxes they arrived in looked like they had come from a war zone filthy dirty covered in packing tape several holes in the boxes with screws falling out. This damage to the boxes was old, the Items had clearly been reboxed in the past and was nothing to do with the courier who delivered. They look like returns, that they had sold me. Opening the first box which was a 3 seater bench there was several fixing missing. Opened the second box the worst condition which held the table. Again several fixings for the legs were missing. But the table top was split on one corner it had taken a hard knock on that corner and it corresponded to loads of packing tape on the corner of the box. It was obvious that this damage had been known about before it was sent to me. I did not open any of the 3 remaining boxes but emailed for them to collect and make full refund. Took them 5 days to reply.

They will never answer the phone or reply to emails. I have tried and tried. I will be reporting to my PayPal as a dispute so they can get their business together and also to trading standards.
They are in breach of consumer act 2015.

appalling service

appalling service. Table arrived badly damaged. You get no response via email and they never answer the phone ... ever! Pointless business if you are only ace when it goes right, it's how you deal with issues that makes you stand out from the crowd. We all know it goes wrong, it's how you put it right that counts.

Took a chance ordering some "heavy…

Took a chance ordering some "heavy duty" racking from these clowns. It turns up looking like it'd been dragged through a war zone, and dumped in my front garden by dhl.
I opened the parcels, anticipating numerous pieces missing, luckily only 4 feet were missing.
One crissbrace was bent beyond use, 2 angle brackets, that were meant to be 90 degree, were squashed flat, and a bracket was broken off one criss brace.
I email them to inform them about the disgusting delivery service, and the issues with the racking, and I receive a response today, from Leigh Alder, customer service manager, who seemingly knows extremelyminimal amounts of customer service, saying they will not forward my complaint to the courier as it was offensive, which it wasn't, and absolutely nothing in regards to the disgustingly poor quality, and damage to the items they sent.
I would highly recommend no one uses this company, I made the mistake, and upon further searches, you can get anything from this site elsewhere, for the same price, avoid st all cost.

Absolute fraudsters and joke of a company! I ordered 4 items of which payment was taken from my bank account for! 3 items have arrived however the 4 is still to be received. Dec in customer services advised he couldn't find my order, then as if by magic he found it, however had the cheek to say I only ordered 3 items at a total of £40.47, I then questioned as to why a payment of £63.99 was taken from my bank if my order only totalled £40.47 and am still awaiting a response! I was also told that maybe I had ordered it from somewhere else, extremely patronising!! Their customer service is non existent as I tried to call at 4pm and was on hold until 5pm when they apparently close, so your telling me all their advisors were all on calls for an hour as i was being told by the automated male voice recording to stay on the line and my call will be answered, clearly not!! another scam to make you rack up call costs!!! or they clearly have alot of complaints!! I am now in the process of reporting these fraudsters and taking further action. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Bought a camping table

Bought a camping table - it is exactly the same as 2 branded ones we were looking to buy. A lot cheaper and no postage. Turned up as expected, good tracking; I was able to tell them where to leave it as I was going out.
I did read these reviews before buying and do wonder about the delivery criticism. I ordered late on Thursday - it arrived Monday. But that is exactly as they promise, If your order after 3pm it goes the next working day and is delivered the next working day. (And they are in the hands of a delivery company) so be realistic people!
Anyway - I am a happy bunny!

Very Very Poor !

The first time I have shopped with Wido and most definately the last, poor from start to finish, issues entering my payment details, delivery after 3 days and not next day as stated, items delivered are not as advertised on the website and to cap it all of no reply to my email sent to customer services 5 days ago.

This company is the polar opposite of Amazon.

The worse customer service i ever…

The worse customer service i ever encountered, i have ordered a rattan garden set from them in Brown, they emailed me saying sorry it was returned and a replacement is on the way, i was quiet surprised. I finally received the set and i found out they sent me the wrong colour, when i emailed them i got a reply in 5 days, and they have told me we will collect it for a refund. so i don't understand why they have sent it in the first place. Their phone number doesn't work, their chat customer service is rude. and now they are asking me to leave my job and wait the whole day at home to collect the garden set, Are you serious. I am very angry and very very disappointed!

Ordered a toybox for grandaughters…

Ordered a toybox for grandaughters birthday. It arrived and when we put together there was a piece missing and another piece broken. The screw holes were in the wrong place so that when lid was fixed on it didn't close properly. We had to drill some new holes in, then the lid didn't 'slow' close as it should. The mdf it is made from is rough on some edges too.
This product has put me off buying anything online ever again.
I could return but, as stated, postage for returns has to be paid for by the buyer, and it's a heavy product.
