Staff were super friendly and helpful

Staff were super friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The venue is perfect for our needs and provides great flexibility to style our event. Thank you so much! We have re-booked for next year. We have some mixed feedback about the food during our event but the team are happy to receive our feedback and will work with us to make changes to future events.

terrible

terrible, never again.
Just popped in for a car show, drove through gates and paid entry fee told to park in field wiht rest of show cars, no mention of paying for parking before i leave by steward, hit with a 30 pound fine weeks later.
didn't even use park facilities.
customer service a joke when called.
Did plan on returning with kids for a day out but not now.

Years ago Wicksteed park was a good, economical fun day out but so much has changed.
The boating lake is now void of boats. The go cart track is an abandoned wasteland, the helicopters have flows as has the aviaries, the coin op motorcycles have roared away into the distance. The train is squeekier than ever, The pirate ship has gone, the ferris wheel is partially dismantled. the only additions seem to be an unused zip wire and a tame mechanical donkey on a rail ride, meerkats and a few farm animals.
The prices seem to go up dramatically each visit. And a good sized area is often roped off for Asian wedding parties. In conclusion the further back in time you go the better it was. Oh and it does seem to be converting into a holiday park.
5pm closing is way too early in the school summer holidays.
