Considering 85 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complain about the excessively high prices for mediocre and low-quality goods across multiple departments. Shoppers often encounter spoiled, rotten, or expired food items displayed on the shelves. Additionally, consumer service is frequently described as unhelpful, and employees can occasionally appear rude or dismissive when asked for assistance. They now promote Organi-peel and Apeel

If I could give 0 stars I would . I shopped this store all over the country since its inception. Watching it decline over the last decade or two has been heartbreaking. I stopped buying their prepared food years ago when the quality hit the bottom but I continued to shop there. No more. Done with them entirely. The workers in the store claimed they don’t sell produce sprayed with Apeel but I got the facts online. They DO sell produce using Apeel and have the audacity to say it meets their safety standards. If you research (before it’s censored) organi-peel and Apeel you will know it’s not something you should be putting in your body. It’s not even necessary for them to use it!! There are numerous ethical watch dogs who have done research on this. Do your research.

Worst customer service: Amazon Whole Foods.

When my groceries were delivered to the wrong place (no idea where that was) I googled to find a phone number of Whole Foods Amazon delivery.
45 minutes later, 3 phone calls, 4 different reps, they agreed to re-deliver my order tonight.

There is a reason why Amazon doesn't provide a direct number of grocery delivery -- they don't want you to speak to a human.

There was ice cream, shrimp and other perishables in the order and it is 90 degrees outside today.

The so-called customer service is beyond awful. And yet, because I live in a place where food has to be ordered online and delivered, I have no choice but to order from them again.
Arggghhh!

Products disappeared, so will I

The last 6 times or so the have been filtering out some really good reputable company products and replacing them with the 365 brand - not impressed. Everyone's git 'a brand' it's all the same. They buy in bulk repackage and we pay HIGH prices.
I say buy local food coops!!
Whole Foods took out many serious supplement brands and instead filled a whole half side of a row with 'their rebranded Plastic drinking containers ' We Don't need another brand selling their name on a plastic drinking bottle. Get Original.
No more shopping at Whole Foods for ne. I can't find any products I like to buy. Be Authentic, instead of following the crowd.

Wormy lettuce

I purchased a bag of chopped lettuce which stated on the bag that it was from Ecuador. The statement on the bag said the lettuce had been washed three times. When I opened it to make a salad, I found a live worm on a piece! This was very disgusting & I immediately threw it away. Now, because of this awful experience, I can't bare to eat another salad. I certainly won't be buying any food from Whole Foods again!

The Triumph of Idiocy

The Triumph of Idiocy
If you are almost seventy years old and decide to buy a can of beer at Whole Foods on 5945 State Bridge Rd, Johns Creek, you might encounter an overzealous cashier who will ask for your ID.
You show her your driver's license, and she, being excessively zealous, points out that it has expired.
You feel like laughing, but you restrain yourself and tell her you have left the temporary paper copy of the renewal you already completed in the car. What an effort!
"Oh no!" says the super-zealous one. You can't buy the beer." "Your document has expired."
This is when you realize you are facing the Most Brilliant and Luminous Example of the Perfect Idiot, something Immense.
It's no use pointing out that what matters is being over 21! Which is evident even in the "expired document."
It's no use noting that it makes no sense to go to the parking lot to fetch the renewal from the car—it is too cumbersome!
The Perfect Fool does not give in. Fools never give in!
Will you go to Whole Foods? Take care to have a non-expired ID even if you are 90 years old!

I would give this place negative stars…

I would give this place negative stars if it was possible you go to check out the people at the register act like it's their privilege that you're actually there grocery shopping they no longer put tape or rubber bands on food so it spills out inside of your bag, including pizza, hot soup, and other items and then your entire groceries are ruined, which are so expensive this place is gone from a nice high-end grocery store to the slums. Additionally they let a person in who smelled from 20 feet away and this woman proceeded to roll up her pants. Pick scabs off her legs and throw them around the sit in eating area.

Please don’t visit the Whole Foods on…

Please don’t visit the Whole Foods on broadway Nashville, TN A lot of the associates are rude and they have no manners. I was in Whole Foods to drop off a package for Amazon. I had no idea where to drop it off. I go to the customer service desk and there is a tall white male leaning over the counter inside the counter giving me attitude when I asked him very nicely where is the Amazon box. I thought I was tripping at first but I wasn’t. He points to the Amazon box Rudely not one time but twice. I asked a second time to see if I was hearing wrong. He aggressively pointed to the Amazon box. Rude as hell. He was a tall white male with dirty blonde have with a reflector vest on. If this is who you want at customer service good luck. He’s rude and he doesn’t know how to treat people. I will never return there again. Trader Joe’s would never. I suggest you take the Amazon drop off boxes out of Whole Foods if your associates are going to have an attitude about questions regarding the box.

I had the most horrible experience…

I had the most horrible experience today at the High Street Kensington branch where in an attempt to exchange a packed meal after a card purchase, I was paraded to a supervisor to firstly confirm the purchase. I hadn’t bothered to get a receipt unfortunately being late in the evening and also simply being in a rush.

Mirella scrolled through the system and couldn’t see the purchase and told me in a matter of fact manner that they purchase couldn’t have happened! It’s after 9.30 pm, I am thinking there goes my dinner not to mention the embarrassment.

I have shopped in Whole Foods for years and enjoy going in up to 3 times a week to buy various food items. I don’t know whether I can feel comfortable anymore going into this store. Did the supervisor imagine the meals were picked off the shelf or dare I say is there a problem with Whole Foods computer system. By the way the purchase is clear on my banking app which I wasn’t able to show in the store as my phone had died!

Rather throw produce out than sell it

I am very disappointed in the North Vancouver Lonsdale store. This store is terrible for produce. Today I was told by two employees, one in produce, and one in customer service, that instead of putting the old, wilted, and stripped lettuce together to make something closer to the size of a proper head, or finding me a newer one from the back I was told that the policy of Whole Foods was the throw-out or donate undesirable food rather than sell it.

Fewer vegan items since Amazon takeover

Your buffet, sushi and team members at every location I visit are great. We’ve had some bumps along the way with the vegetarian and vegan pizza orders. My complaint is not how clean and nice the shopping is, it’s that how can I shop for food if there isn’t enough vegan food anymore? The buffet at one location is reduced to some often undercooked, tough veggies and vegan meatballs. It is so sad because you were a haven for this kind of food, where I could meet people eating all different foods and I picked out my vegan items. Last time I had a full wheel made of vegan pizza, someone kindly corrected it because my slices were so soggy, it was undercooked. You are always going to be a better choice in any city for me. Wish you could expand on the vegan items. Lots of us don’t want cheese in everything, some people are lactose intolerant anyway. The main meatless items at locations are subbing out meat for cheese. Today. a box of Asian(?) tofu and veggies made me very upset with how it was a giant pile of rice with not much tofu. I feel neglected. Where is the office of inclusion for vegan eaters? The cliche of find out someone loves vegan food because we’ll tell you is true today because we have to complain when you don’t cater to us. Whole Food is a store with everything? Well……. ;( *cries

Gone are the many vegan cookies and treats, the vegan entrees, vegan ANYTHING. WHERE IS THE VEGAN FOOD ANYMORE? We don’t all live off salads and the juice bar. Some of us want food.

Your ready to go oatmeal is so good. The 365 brand jelly. PB&J sandwiches. Tofu banh mi. Your most basic items. Missing your more interesting feastable foods.

Picked up small container hot food bar

Picked up small container hot food bar, small pieces meat loaf, mushrooms, green beans, vegan dish. Had to spit out when I say heavily salted to where you couldn’t eat it. The fish was dry and smelled awful. To be healthy store was surprised and disappointed at quality. My feet swelled and I’ve never had that problem. Suggestion-no salt or very very little sea salt. No need to waste peoples money and make them sick.

Whoe foods quality really went down…

Whoe foods quality really went down hill after Amazon acquired. The delivery service is even worse. Problems all the time like Items missing, rotten produce, close tooutdated items delivered. Amazon will provide a refund. I use the deliver service so that I don't need to go to the store, but almost everytime I end up going to Hannaford or Market Basket to pick up missing/rotten items that were delivered.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. You will pay a different price at the register versus what you see on the shelf. Rip-off … and they get mad if you question it and act as if they are doing you a favor by fixing it and that’s after waiting for 30 minutes at the register

Unhygienic store

I have been purchasing plant based crossiants for several years.
On a recent visit I was appalled to see the items loose on the shelf, as they are usually in packages protecting them from germs. I will no longer shop at Wholefoods. There indifference to the health and wellbeing of their customers is shocking.

Empty promises and sustained abuse of customers' trust

The solemn promise posted by the Whole Foods as a response to my first review, as well as the one given in person by the manager of the seafood department, are both EMPTY, as demonstrated by the image of the tail piece delivered less than 30 minutes ago (image available). This goes beyond sustained exploitation of customers who use delivery. It is pure and simple abuse of customers' trust, accompanied by meaningless promises, or, at worst, outright lying. The only reason I have continued to shop at Whole Foods is the absence of a better alternative. The solution is obvious - Amazon's monopoly MUST be broken up, at ONCE!

Upset about hiring process

I have tried to be patient with WF at getting a job with them over the past 10 years. Several times they had turned me down when I received the strange AI or whatever that emails back about choosing other canidates. I have a culinary degree and several qualifications so I don't know what they are looking for. Once I did get an interview and I thought a promised job the person interviewing me spoke down to me about the application personality tests that I took because I didn't receive high numbers on their test. The test they require you to take before getting hired seemed very personal asking questions about if I always leave dishes in my sink, or how many times I have lied to my partner ect??? I'm not sure how to answer those because I am a very honest person. That being said I feel they do not give credit to those with disabilities or room for those of us who live in the real world. I would not work for a company who judges me by a silly AI test instead of personal one on one conversation. Still never got the job.
