Annoying emails
The chocolate was for a gift for someone else, so I can’t comment on what it tasted like. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. I’m irritated to have had several emails asking me for a review.

We are a really small company trying our hardest to compete with much larger ones on a national platform and services like TrustPilot are a great way of collecting customer feedback and endorsement. There is a link to opt out of the emails contained within them; I have also checked our settings which had 2 emails (service review, product review) and a final 3rd reminder email, I have set this to now send both reviews together with no reminder email based on your feedback even though this will lead to less feedback for us overall. Since you have no qualms with our products and have only said nice things about our service it would seem your issue is with the TrustPilot service, would you reconsider this negative star-rating for my company?
Disappointing birthday present
The chocolate bars were good but the box of chocolates were disappointing. Given the cost and the special occasion, the quantity was low and the quality was not discernible from other much cheaper brands.

Hi Stuart, Thanks for your review, I'm sorry you found the box of chocolates disappointing. Each chocolate is crafted by hand using extra-fine quality chocolate, with no preservatives or artificial flavourings. We have a plethora of awards, up to a Top 50 from the Great Taste, as well as silvers and bronze from the Academy of Chocolate, so objectively they are discernible from other much cheaper brands in terms of quality of ingredients and flavour profile. Perhaps the assorted box wasn't to your taste as we do craft plenty of milk chocolates; we have also created selections or can take guidance when putting together your box to make sure it matches your preference. From our market research our chocolates are comparably priced or cheaper than other chocolatiers using the same quality chocolate so I do hope you circle back to tasting more of ours as there are some absolutely delicious gems to try.

I thought the breakfast in bed bar was amazing! Really delicious and something very different. I liked the Yorkshire honeycomb too and the lime and sea salt though I couldn't detect the lime flavour. I wasn't as keen on the Simnel cake bar but I did like the fruit in it. It had a grainy texture I wasn't a fan of. Overall though a positive experience. I will be back!
